Emergency Medical Kit: Attached to the Plate Carrier is a military-grade medical kit equipped with tools to address injuries and provide temporary relief until the injured are clear of the battle zone. This field kit not only ensures the treatment of the wounded, but it also reflects Balun's ideology as a Jedi Knight, the need to protect others and assist in whatever capacity he can, most especially during times of greater conflict where hope can be so difficult to come by, and harder to maintain for those without the ability to protect themselves.

Emergency Rebreather: Concealed within the collar, beneath the shroud of his cloak and scarf, is your everyday Rebreather, a device that provides the user with breathable oxygen for a period of time, allowing them to traverse underwater or survive the use of chemical explosives such as tear gas, smoke grenades, and other poisonous dangers.

Cortosis Alloy: Perhaps the most expensive and distinctive feature of this Battle Armour is its use of Cortosis and Cortosis-weave, an alloy well known for its resistance to weapons such as the lightsaber, not at all cheap to purchase and difficult to come by. Cortosis-weave has been used to reinforce the underlay of the Plate-Carrier, providing additional protection should the Laminasteel Plate Inserts sustain extensive damage. • Excellent Survivability: Featuring blast mitigation, medical equipment, trauma padding, and environmental protection, Balun can remain on the battlefield longer, equipped to fight on the front lines and defend against enemy forces threatening High Republic sovereignty. The density of the metal alloy and poly-ceramic plating further protects the body's vital organs, while the trousers and undershirt are made of high-grade fabrics and armour-weave, making this a heavy-duty combat attire.
• Equipment Capacity: The Utility Pouches, Medical Pouch, Survival Pouch, Refugee Support Kit, Crystal housing, and Personal Archive pocket provide Balun with extended operational capacity, carrying the tools and resources needed to handle a wide range of battlefield scenarios. From personal rations to emergency medical treatments, the ability to carry a significant amount of ammunition, to having the tools to repair or sabotage technology, Balun's battle armour has the space to carry it all.

WEAKNESSES:

• No Head Protection: By personal preference, Balun Dashiell isn't one to wear headgear beyond the hood of his Jedi apparel. Despite the obvious risk of being mortally wounded, the Jedi has often felt his vision restricted when wearing ballistic helmets and similar armoured headgear, distracting him from full awareness of the field of battle. He would sooner place his trust in the force than suddenly get a blaster bolt in the dome.
• Points of Weakness: Areas in the apparel that are less armoured than others will present obvious points of vulnerability, such as behind the knees, the neck, the armpits and the biceps of this battle armour. Unlike the Plate-Carrier, the shoulder pauldrons, bracers, and shin guards are protected only by reinforced fabrics and will therefore be more susceptible in combat.

Worn over this protective underlayer is a hooded, bone-white Jedi cloak inspired by Balun's formal High Republic attire. Echoing the white-and-gold aesthetic associated with the Order, the cloak serves as both a practical outer garment and a symbolic statement of identity. Together, the layered design creates a seamless fusion of warrior and Jedi traditions, ensuring that despite the armour's tactical nature, its wearer remains unmistakably a servant of the Jedi Order.

Plate Carrier & Laminasteel Plating: Providing primary torso protection, the Plate Carrier is designed to deliver robust multi-threat defence while preserving the agility and freedom of movement required for lightsaber combat and Force-assisted manoeuvres. Housed within the carrier are reinforced Laminasteel armour inserts that offer reliable protection against blaster fire, slugthrower munitions, and fragmentation from explosive detonations. The carrier's layered construction further enhances survivability by dispersing kinetic impacts and reducing the effects of concussive force.

To bolster its effectiveness against melee threats, the interior of the Plate Carrier has been lined with cortosis-weave fibres. While not intended to withstand sustained contact with a lightsaber, this reinforcement provides increased resistance to glancing strikes and incidental blade contact, improving the wearer's chances of avoiding catastrophic injury during close-quarters engagements.
