PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Azari Krahl is a Kel Dor woman of somewhat short build, but lean and athletic, a testament to a near-lifetime spent training as a Mandalorian. She has thick, leathery orange skin and jet black eyes which she keeps behind her antiox mask and goggles, which protect her from the toxic effects of oxygen on her people.

For clothing, Azari prefers practical pilots attire such as jumpsuits and flight jackets, even partially building her beskar'agam around a flight suit as the underbody. Regardless of what she is wearing, however, she is never without her antiox mask and goggles, which have been partially stylized to resemble the traditional Mandalorian T-visor.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Much of who Azari is has been shaped by her background as a foundling, which has given her a broad and somewhat unorthodox sense of what it means to be Mandalorian. To her, the Mando'ade are a community of people before anything else, a family not defined by homeworld, species, or even creed. To be Mandalorian is to declare yourself one and support those who do as well, an unorthodox view by some counts but one that makes her extremely open-minded and eager to help.

At the same time, her wrath for those who endanger or betray her family is as swift and merciless as a shriek-hawk, as the safety and prosperity of the Mando'ade is her top priority. Some of this does stem, however, from her own fears of being not a true Mandalorian as an alien foundling. This drives her to learn and help out as much as she can to contribute back to her people, but can also make her somewhat reckless and prone to jumping the blaster.

STRENGTHS
  • Pressurized: As long as she has her anti-ox mask or another, similar rebreather, Azari's leathery skin can protect her from harsh environments or even the vacuum of space for a short time.
  • Outrider: Whether flying or foot-slogging, Azari specializes in forward deployment and exploration, moving out ahead of her kin to scout or strike against targets.
  • For The People: Azari's commitment to the Mandalorian people is unwavering, and this dedication fuels her to push herself to the limit.

WEAKNESSES
  • Oxygen-Averse: Oxygen is toxic to Azari's Kel Dor biology and any exposure to her eyes or internal organs would quickly become dangerous.
  • Scout First, Soldier Second: Azari specializes in hitting opponents where they don't see it coming and is far less skilled in direct, heavy combat.
  • Foundling Fears: Azari sometimes doubts her place among the Mando'ade and is always eager (perhaps too much so) to jump in or prove herself.

HISTORY
Azari was born twice in her life, once as a a Zang of Kel Dor, again as a Krahl of the Mando'ade. Found alone in an escape pod in the wake of a vicious pirate attack, Azari was taken in by Clan Krahl, a clan containing a high amount of foundlings and non-human members. This Mandalorian melting-pot would shape Azari's perspective on what it means to be Mandalorian, as would her training as a pilot and scout. Azari was always a curious child growing up and loved exploring around the clan compound or flying out on missions.

After her verd'goten she would take to the path of the Karjr as a wandering Mandalorian warrior, seeking resources and renown for her people. But as the threats against the Mando'ade have increased and the people have become scattered and divided, Azari has drawn closer to home. Now she looks for new ways to aid her people as their state in the galaxy remains uncertain.

SKILLS AND POWERS
Azari specializes as a pilot and explorer, being just as comfortable around a cockpit as a fire pit. She is a talented flyer when it comes to personal craft like starfighters or light freighters and knows enough about navigation and engineering to keep them flying, even in rough conditions. She is also a skilled scout whether exploring hostile environments or infiltrating hostile territory, having a knack for stealth and survival. In addition, she is quite handy with rifles of all kinds as well as pistols, and scatter blasters, not to mention her skills with blades and fists. Besides combat abilities, Azari has developed a well rounded set of basic skills in cooking, maintennace, slicing, etc. to help her remain self-sufficient in the field. She speaks Kel Dor, Basic, Mando'a, and Huttese fluently, with a conversational smattering of other common Outer Rim languages.
