Long-Lived: A side effect of being stung by the near mythical Frost-Thistle, is a slowed metabolism. This allows Nateo to live far longer than the average Chiss. Since the plant is extremely rare and only found in the deepest ice pits of Csilla, and since it’s sting is almost always fatal, it is unknown if this is a unique or common side effect to the thistle’s toxin.
Master of Light, Master of Dark: In an effort to save his people from the Gulag plague, Nateo learned the ways of the Force from the Jedi. He practiced, took his trials and became a Knight. In time, he would train a Padawan to Knighthood and earn the rank of Master. When, finally, he had exhausted all the Lightside knowledge he could with no cure in sight, he turned to the Darkside for answers. Abandoning the Jedi, he found a Sith Lord and became her apprentice. When the time was right, he slew her and took her place. He would go on to study the Darkside for decades. In that time, he would train two separate apprentices. Each, when they believed they had learned enough, attempt to slay him. Each were, in turn, slain. Nateo is a Force Master with decades of experience with both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
Powerful Telepath: Nateo's power in the force have manifested primarily in the areas of telepathy. He naturally takes to any Force power that involves invading, or otherwise modifying the minds of others.

Out of Touch: Nateo has been in cryo-hibernation for much of the last few centuries. He has only been awake for a year or two, and as such, has very little in the way of current galactic knowledge. In addition to this, his formerly formidable wealth and resources have all dried up, leaving him to eek out a meager living as a bounty hunter and mercenary until he can find a way to help rebuild his fallen people.
Xenophobic: After having watched the Galactic Alliance bungle their attempts to help the Chiss people during the outbreak of the Gulag plague, Nateo has developed a very low opinion of other species. While he will work with them if it serves his interests, he certainly does not see them as equals. This, at times, can make working in groups or otherwise interacting with others on a day to day basis somewhat challenging for Nateo.
Non-existent Telekinesis: The flip-side of Nateo's natural propensity toward telepathy is his complete inability to use any telekinetic Force power

Nateo stands approximately six feet tall and weighs just shy of two hundred pounds. He is an imposing figure, well built and muscular from his years as a miner on Csilla and a fitness regime that can only be called brutal which he maintains to this day. Like the rest of his race, Nateo has blue skin, piercing red eyes and black hair-the latter of which he prefers to keep slicked back out of his eyes. He generally wears a black leather overcoat over practical fatigue like pants and a t-shirt with an armored vest and a holster at his side.

Biography:

Ayan'ate'ouco, or Nateo as he is commonly is called, was born on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla in the year 400 ABY. He belonged to a small, humble, clan of miners who worked in the depths of Csilla's ice caverns, looking for precious metals and gems which were used in the manufacturing of Chiss technology. It was a grueling life, filled with danger and hard work, but it was a life that Nateo took honor in. Like the rest of his clan, he took to his work with the same grim determination that had propelled his species to the heights of its power. As an adolescent working in the darkest depths of his family's mine, Nateo was stung by the near mythical Ice-Thistle-a plant that grows in near complete darkness and who's sting is almost always considered fatal. For several weeks, young Nateo would linger in a place between life and death. Later, after a somewhat miraculous recovery, he would describe having visions of the future: including the impending destruction of his family, the Chiss Ascendancy, and eventually his own death.

The arrival of the Gulag plague in 424 ABY saw a quick end to the Chiss Ascendancy as a major galactic power. On Csilla itself, it saw the decimation of a once proud and powerful species and for Nateo: it saw the complete and utter destruction of his family. In the short time that it took the plague to spread through the planet's population, Nateo watched as his parents, siblings, and all of the others who he had lived with his entire life, died. In many ways, the horror he experienced at this point in his life would come to dominate his personality for the remainder of his days.

With the loss of his family and what appeared to be the looming annihilation of his species Nateo left Chiss space and traveled into the heart of the Galactic Alliance. Eventually he would find himself on Coruscant, where he would be determined to possess an affinity for the Force. He would spend the next twelve years of his life training with the Jedi. In that time, he would become a Jedi Knight, train his own apprentice to Knighthood and take the mantel of Jedi Master. Unfortunately, he would find nothing in his years of study that would help him rid the galaxy and his people of the plague.

Nateo's growing frustration with his lack of progress, as well as with the increasingly obvious ineptitude of the Jedi Order in combating the Gulag plague would cause Nateo to leave the order in 430 ABY. From there, he would travel to the Sith world of Zoist and find a Master to train him in the ways of the Dark Side. For the next six years, he would train and study. In 441 ABY, he would slay his master in single combat and attain for himself the moniker of Darth Adamas, "The Untameable." Between 441 and 444 ABY, he would train two separate Sith acolytes before slaying each of them during botched assassination attempts. By 444, Darth Adamas would become similarly disillusioned by the Sith Order as he had been by the Jedi. For all the promise of power offered by the Darkside, he was still no closer to curing the plague. With disgust for both Orders in his heart, Nateo would leave Zoist never to be seen again.

For the next several years, Nateo would travel the galaxy alone, searching all the Force Nexus' he could for knowledge that would help him. Eventually, finding this endeavor as fruitless as all his others, he would give up in despair and secure himself in hibernation until such time as the plague had wiped itself out. This time would not come until centuries later in 736 ABY. Unfortunately, the computer program that Nateo had written in order to have himself awakened malfunctioned and would not revive the Chiss until nearly one hundred and twenty years after that last reported case of Gulag plague in 856 ABY.

When, finally, Nateo was awakened he found himself in a galaxy that bore little resemblance to the one he'd lived in. Where the Galactic Alliance had once ruled, it seemed dozens of want-to-be Republics had risen and fallen. The Mandalorians, once barely an afterthought, had conquered a powerful Empire only to lose it to the Sith. The Jedi Order was fractured, with dozens of enclaves scattered throughout the galaxy and only the Silver Jedi Order attempting to do anything about it. His own people had tried, and failed multiple times, to return to their former power but seemed to lack anything in the way of a solid direction. The galaxy seemed poised on the brink of total Sith domination, something that Nateo's time with the Order had taught him would be disastrous. However, having been in hibernation for so long, Nateo had none of his former resources to call upon save the Force. So now he turns to bounty hunting as a means to subsist until he can figure out a way to bring his people back to their rightful place of power.
