One will have to deploy one's forces carefully if they wish to trap or catch up to an Aculeo.
- No Offensive Armament: Due to the need to fit a large hangar complement and critical defensive systems the Aculeo is unarmed when it comes to offensive weaponry. Its main offensive and defensive capabilities come from its strikecraft and its high speed and decent maneuverability.

Essentially an upgraded version of the base Aculeo, with better armor and more point defense laser cannons, and the addition of chaff with flares to go up from "low" defenses to "average" defenses. More expensive to produce due to batter quality materials, with subsequently lower amounts of them fielded, mostly for the XIII Battlegroup.
