ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Defensive Cruiser: The Audax was designed to serve as a protective support ship that could shield other ships from enemy fire and not be immediately ripped apart. Powerful shields, a redoubtable hull, and a multitude of other internal systems allow the Audax to serve its purpose dutifully.
  • Planetary Invasion: Much like its larger older sibling, the Ferrata, the Audax's hold can contain many engines of war and legionnaires of the Sith Empire. This kind of multi-classing allows the Audax to perform several roles in various operations in service to the Empire.
WEAKNESSES
  • Minor Weaponry: Because of the Audax's role as a defensive support ship, it lacks the necessary firepower to significantly damage ships of its class or larger, and what weaponry it does possess are purely anti-starfighter and anti-corvette in nature.
  • Juicy Target: Primarily due to the tendency for the Audax to be utilized as a combat transport, enemies will often attempt to make it their priority to destroy or cripple an Audax if they are aware of its capabilities. This could potentially lead to a loss of military assets for the Sith Empire, especially in manpower.
DESCRIPTION

War has spurred the technological growth of the Sith Empire, its unwavering desire to always be in possession of better equipment than any of its rivals so that it may never lose its advantage in battle. While the Galactic Alliance has fallen, and the Silver Jedi has almost become irrelevant in the eyes of the Sith, innovation never stopped nor slowed within the minds of the Empire's greatest engineers and architects.
They saw the Ferrata, a masterfull warship crucial to the Empire's ability to land a large number of soldiers and war equipment on a planet in the smallest amount of time possible. But this came at a disadvantage when local resistance groups learned to target the two-kilometer-long ship as it slowly descended through the atmosphere. When one of these ships was destroyed, tens of thousands of Legionnaires and thousands of war material would be lost almost instantly.
Lessons had been learned, and the Empire turned those tribulations into new technology.
The Ferrata design was scaled back by nearly half, slimmed down and reconfigured for greater speed and mobility at the cost of starfighter hangars and offensive weaponry. Though this new ship, the Audax, required a more robust escort than its predecessor, it could carry a Legionnaire Division to and from occupied worlds and Imperial staging grounds. Beyond its role as an invasion transport, the Audax was outfitted with anti-starfighter, anti-corvette weaponry, and powerful defensive measures that allow the Audax to serve as a resilient support ship while in fleet formation.

With the advent of the new rules, we all get to comment on people's submissions even if we're not reviewing them (even if you're not a Factory or Roleplay Judge). With that said, let me offer a word of advice as a fellow writer and submitter, not as a judge.

Darth Carnifex said:
Shuttles / Gunships / Dropships (320) Sith-Imperial Multiple-Altitude Assault Gunship Sith-Imperial Atmospheric Infantry Transport Omicron-class O-1 Imperial Shuttle Iota-class Heavy Shuttle Teth-class Barge Mastodon-class Troop Transport Orenth-class Heavy Walker Carrier Phi-class Heavy Dropship
Some of these look like combat craft to me (or starfighters). If this get auto-approved, it looks like something that is likely to be reported, and it might possibly get you a temporary ban from the factory.

I'm going off of the Acclamator-class Assault Craft, which could carry a large number of atmospheric vessels to move its complement of foot soldiers and ground vehicles once it had landed, or even before it lands.

It has no starfighters, only troop or vehicle transports that are not solid ship-to-ship combatants on their own.
