Supisy was very happy to be called to Qi’s side. She made sure to move slowly to give the gathered guests an opportunity to make demands on her time, but when that didn’t happen she gave a sigh of relief. ”You didn’t know there were going to be so many did you? I thought I was going to hyperventilate. Three was one thing. How many guests did we end up gathering?”

Giggling to relieve the tension in her thinking, Supisy settled in nicely beside Qi. ”This is something I can always handle,” Supisy commented as she took over the controls and a sense of her usual carefree confidence returned. She listened to what the craft was capable of. Interdictors and SLAM drives were something that Supisy knew of in theory, but in reality the Deviant was really just a basic freighter. She looked forward to figuring out how to use all the fancy gadgets that the Atrisians employed, but she hoped it wouldn’t rob her of her instinctive style.

”Not sure what a shuttle would want an interdictor for. But you Atrisians think on a different level from me,” Supisy gave a Qi a sly smile. ”A SLAM drive does sound like a good time. I’ve only gotten to operate one once before. You think our passengers would be ok if I saw how fast we could get back?” Supisy winked to Qi, knowing that it would probably be very bad to see just how fast the shuttle could go.

Qi gave a grin and nod. "We might have gotten more but that is what makes the game more fun, with the right size area you can be either spaced out or move as a team and even have verticality in some of the things you do if you use hydro jet packs. It will let you move around with the water and you'll be able to pick between firing shots or getting higher up and refilling the water." Qi said it though but she was looking at some of them. "PLus this is a chance for you to meet the people who oversee some of Atrisia's operations. Lady Wisteria alone has a trade empire for her family with all of her shops and trading between worlds.., the princesses are instrumental in rebuilding their world to be part of the Commonwealth more so and we are working to expand some places. The generals in charge of handling potential threats internal and external."

It appeared that Qi knew more than she let on about the guests. The fact that they all seemed to be involved with the upcoming game was also a surprise for Supisy. The Twi’lek listened to how the numbers would improve the game, and it Supisy was looking forward to seeing just how much fun the game would be. Also, each of the guests would help Supisy to be known by the right people in the Commonwealth. ”I hope Lady Wisteria is on my team or a spectator. She seems like she would be a good woman to be on the good side of. If we end up on different teams…I’m a pretty bad winner. The others I hope will understand and appreciate my fierce competitiveness. My mouth will have to be less braggy and crass I assume though.”

"You'll do fine." SHe moved from the seat and motioned for her. "Just keep it steady. The acceleration will be powerful even with a little power." She said it and slipped into the co-pilots seat as she looked at the twi'lek offering a grin. "And win or lose it will be less about the way you act then what you do with it. The most arrogant warriors might be annoying but they are always honest with the people around them. It is how the princess is as you have seen. She wears her affections and attractions on her sleeves and rarely hides what is going on even if she is able to be diplomatic about it." She said it but sat there while the others were talking among themselves. A grin though as the handmaiden and pilot brought up the screen at the copilots stations. "Be careful with the dimensional drive, we can make hyperspace jumps easily but ending up in otherspace or some of the other pocket universes that have been discovered is not exactly ideal."

Supisy appreciated Qi’s confidence. As the girl moved to allow Supisy to take full control, Supisy knew that it would take just a moment for her to get the feel of these controls versus those she was used to. And maybe another moment to understand the finesse needed to steer with a more powerful engine driving things. But Qi’s confidence in Supisy’s piloting was well founded and she did just fine with the shuttle.

The statements about the game and how the nobles might view Supisy was not quite as comforting. ”I’m not a true warrior. Just a pilot who likes to adventure and in competition likes to win. I won’t hang my head and pout if I lose, but if I win. Well Latty says pointing and laughing at her isn’t the right way to do things. I just get overcome with happiness. I don’t think the Princess points and laughs. I hope that I can go about it in a better way. That assumes I win. You think Miyoung will pad my team since I’m new at it?”

The talk turned back to the ship as it appeared Qi was ready for Supisy to try out the dimensional drive and offered her warnings ahead of time. ”I’ll be careful. I am usually a train by do student, but don’t want to do anything dangerous. You can take the controls if I get us in trouble right?” Supisy asked as her hands readied to activate the drive.

"Miyoung is fair in terms of team building. Likely she would give you enough experienced warriors to bolster you but there is also the need for balance and as you saw some want to be on a team together and some want to face each other." She said it and indicated with a tilt of her head to the two from the academy. "THose two... rivals in schools and so will likely be on opposite teams while the generals would want to be on the same team. The sisters will want to be on the same team as well so the chance of it being balanced is there but also the chance you will have more then enough support... and likely Barca."

Fair was not necessarily something that Supisy cared about in a “friendly” game. She would be more than happy to have the teams unbalanced so long as she ended up on the stronger team. That said Miyoung was super smart and analytic, so if she had no stake in making one team stronger than the next Qi was probably right, the teams would be as balanced as possible. ”I suppose fair is the best, if we can’t be sure that Miyoung tips things in my favor,” Supisy replied with a smile. ”Well it would be rather funny to watch those two rivals on the same team, as long as I don’t have to be there to make them try to work together.”

Supisy listened to the other team possibilities as she giggled imagining Chujo and Unchou bickering over the right way to win, while Supisy’s team took advantage of the fighting. At the same time she could see using their rivalry to aid excitement in competition within her own team with whichever ended up there. ”I like the idea of Barca being on my team from a added strength level. But if she’s on the other team I can bribe her like Miyoung,” Supisy giggled again and winked at Qi.

That got a larger laugh and grin. "Oh bribing Barca is easier then Miyoung... though Barca is generally one to wear what she wants on her sleeve as it were. Everyone knows she is the handmaiden who will be likely to well she came to Atrisia to be with Atrisian women and she is in spades." Qi laughed at that. "Miyoung getting bribed for best results might require a lot more work as she is small and flexible.. she be better bribed by Barca." Phaidor looked at them. "Are you really telling her how to try and bribe the others?" Qi nodded as the woman rolled her eyes. "Miyoung is a rock, she won't be bribed mostly cause the princess wouldn't allow it and she wants to please the princess. Plus few have the stamina to meditate with her."

Supisy smiled at Qi’s response to the bribery. She wasn’t really considering it. The young Twi’lek pilot might love to win, but she was confident and independent so she would much rather win on her own strengths than by tipping the scales in what some might consider improper nature. ”So Barca only likes Atrisians? Do I count as Atrisian? Technically the Princess has made me part of the Commonwealth, but I’m not sure that makes me Atrisian in everyone’s eyes.” Supisy wasn’t sure if she was upset or relieved that Barca might not be interested. Supisy was very intrigued by new experiences, but something about Barca’s forcefulness made her a bit nervous about the possibilities. ”You doubt I could be intriguing enough to sway Miyoung’s honesty? That sounds like an interesting challenge,” Supisy responded with a wink.

When Phaidor spoke up, Supisy actually blushed slightly. Phaidor was there to make sure that Supisy acted nobly, and she happens to hear talk of bribery. ”Um…I was just joking. And I would not wish to mess up Miyoung’s loyalty to the Princess. The game will be played above board. I promise.”

"No No no sweetie... Barca likes women in general... but she loves petite and most Atrisian women are petite." She said it but was offering a smile. "I imagine she just loves the attention from it and she is a mandalorian their tales of past battles and glory are told well enough. SOme of the maids in the palace love hearing those tales... mostly the ones who have only ever been here on Atrisia... a few others know she is stretching her story to entice but welcome it. The new reforms have most learning as much of Atrisian history as can be taught along with a dozen other things to make them much better educated and aware of the dangers the galaxy poses." PHaidor said it and bribing was never the greatest but. "ANd you could work on bribing Miyoung you could... just might be better to spend your energies preparing. The game tomorrow is going to be physically demanding and the princess plays for keeps."

Supisy was a bit surprised with how wide her smile was at hearing that Barca would not discount her as a…playmate…given her being from outside of the Commonwealth. ”I’m petite,” Supisy stated with a glow about her. ”Barca is so extreme, I bet she is a great storyteller. I would be happy to listen to her tell stories…though I don’t think that would be the only entertainment we have to offer each other. And I’m sure Barca’s stories are all at least a little embellished.”

Supisy listened to the follow up on bribing Miyoung and gave a nod. ”Sounds like getting Miyoung to tip the scales is something that would take longer than I have. Being focused on the match is a better strategy. You have advice on how I should prepare? Just limbering up or is there something I should do to strengthen my body? Should I eat a big meal for the energy? I have a high metabolism and two stomachs so that will be a tall task if necessary.”

Qi tapped her chin. "Well you will be in a swimsuit so maybe not a huge meal and it is like any other sport. You want to have energy but not overeat. Physically it will be demanding and there will be a lot of water there but you don't want to drink even our filtered seawater. So there will be droids with bottles and thanks to environmental stations we work to regulate the temperature to be enjoyable to everyone. To extreme heat causing problems won't be a problem." Phaidor looked at Supisy. "Have the right mindet as well, physically it is good to be in shape, mentally you have to be ready for it." Qi was looking at the flight path back and spoke. "We are coming up on the island... check your speeds and approach the spire it will guide you into the hanger bay."

There seemed little more to say about what may or may not happen with Barca. Supisy was still not quite sure how to handle that, but figured that she would not worry about it too much. If something was meant to happen it would. She never had forced things in her life, so she’d just relax and play the game tomorrow. If she ever was emboldened to attempt to gain Barca’s attention, she would figure out how at that time. And if Barca were to proposition her first, Supisy would probably wind up jumping into the Mandalorian’s arms and being whisked away.

Qi answered Supisy’s questions about how to prepare for the match.”I am not sure that it is possible for me to overeat,” Supisy stated as a brag. ”But to be safe I will have a nice sensible meal, like something before a physically taxing transport run. I’ll be sure to stay hydrated and not from the water we’re playing in,” she added with a nod of her head before turning to Phaidor’s advice. ”Ready for a challenge, but it’s just a game. Don’t need to worry about me being too tense, maybe too carefree. Though when the games start competitive nature is likely going to take charge.”

As they approached the island, Supisy's grip on the controls tensed just a bit and she heard Qi’s instruction and made adjustments. ”I got it,” Supisy stated with a smile. She didn’t like using computer guidance, but in this case she would take the advice instead of risk crashing into the Princess’ home. Splitting her focus between what she saw out the viewport and what the computer was showing was a new task for Supisy, but one she took to pretty easily as she guided the shuttle towards the spire and a safe landing for all.

"There we go." Qi only guided with some controls into the hanger as the gravity cradle took over and held them. The doors opening as the others went down the ramp with Phaidor and she spoke. "You did good for a first real time.. just wait until you really get into it or convince the princess to let you try and Mk. III's... those are still in the prototype stage but there have been some promising results. AAs well as some of the other things they have been developing like the Askora and speeders." Qi rose up and was moving with a grin though as outside of the ship the other handmaidens were there and greeting the group who was around. JUnko in the palaces court talking with people while PHaidor looked at Supisy and spoke. "Junko is still hodling court, it could go for awhile still.. so whatever you would like to do while we ge them settled in."

Supisy was surprisingly receptive to Qi’s input. Probably not surprising to the Atrisians present at the moment, but it would have been an complete shock to Latyuo, who Supisy fought every moment of learning to fly the Deviant saying over and over that she could to it different or better than how Latyuo told her. The shuttle and the landing site were Junko’s however and Supisy had a bit more respect for that, than she had when she first started to learn as a young teen fresh to freedom. The Twi’lek pilot smiled at Qi’s praise ”I can’t wait to get my hands on all the Atrisian tech and see what I can make it do…” She looked and smirked a bit timidly. ”Within reason of course. I’ll try not to test the limits too hard. But it will be a tough thing to resist having all that speed and power at the touch of my fingers.”

Supisy followed Qi and Phaidor out of the shuttle, the guests they had picked up were in a much easier place to exit, so when she made her way down the ramp everyone was already present. Supisy was not surprised, but a little disappointed that Junko attended to the guests first. Latyuo and her had occupied the Princess’ time a lot over the last few days, so Supisy silently told herself she needed to be patient. Besides, there were still plenty of others to socialize with. ”That leaves so many possibilities,” Supisy stated with a mischievous grin. ”If the Princess is occupying the visitors for the moment I could use some relaxation…or if we’re not going to dine as a group perhaps a meal. Or the unoccupied handmaidens could escort me to have a nice drink? What do you think I should do?”

"I think the meal will be for everyone but it will be after the princess handles her duties." Phaidor said it and was walking leading the others through as she moved up one of the staircases in the palace and it went into an upper balcony. Ornate lounge seats and cushions as below there were several people standing in front of the throne. Junko sitting down in her jade kimono with two handmaidens on either side where she could look at the others there. Phaidor finding a seat as she leaned forward a little to look over and see many more who were around and being helped by guards and servers.

"If you have never seen a royal court then... prepare to be bored. The Princess loves the people but this is a lot of hours hearing problems and most want it solved quickly." She leaned back for a moment though as Junko's voice came. "It is all we can do for the moment. The latest reports we have is trade is being disrupted outside of Commonwealth space because of the hostilities between the Alliance and enclave. Once we are able to expand some of our trade deals it will bring back the contracts with offworlders." She said it and looked at him as he bowed.. seemingly accepting it for the moment. Junko sat there and breathed out and then in getting a drink of tea. "Next."

A group meal made the most sense. Supisy would wait to eat. If her two stomachs meant she would need more to be ready for the game tomorrow she had little doubt that the palace kitchen would be open to her. The young Twi’lek merely nodded and followed along with Phaidor into the palace. Supisy couldn’t help but be struck by the grandeur of Junko seeing to things from her throne. After a moment’s pause, she noticed that Phaidor had found a seat and she moved to sit next to the handmaiden. Supisy also leaned forward to see what Phaidor had down below them. It didn’t look like Junko’s duties would end quickly.

Supisy couldn’t help a small giggle as Phaidor expressed the likelihood that boredom was inevitable. ”I thought you were the handmaiden who handles duty and royal practices so well. If you get bored…” Supisy wasn’t sure how to continue the statement. The Twi’lek instead of figuring out how to express that she would be bored to tears, leaned back and listened to Junko. ”You know that Latty and I don’t need official contracts to deliver goods, and we’re really good at avoiding things like the Enclave. If the Commonwealth needs help continuing trade, we’d be happy to jump in.”

"Royal practices are easy... listening to their problems after awhile are not. They are good people but they do a fatal thing in giving Junko all of the control. They want her to run their lives as opposed to give them some help. It would be like the AI for the ships." She spoke looking at Supisy going with something that she would get better. "We have the AI's for assisting and tracking more things in case it is only one pilot when you need three or four but the AI is never the one giving the orders it is there to help not control. So the pilot is always able to work." She pointed down. "They act like they just want the AI to do everythign for them. Instead of themselves."

Supisy listened to Phaidor’s response. The Twi’lek couldn’t believe that people would put all their lives in the hands of any one person to keep things on track. Even Junko, who Supisy found to be probably the most capable person she’d ever met. Comparing the people to a pilot and the Princes to AI really had things sink in for Supisy. She could never allow AI to take complete control of a ship she was piloting, to have another person see to all factors of her life was even more repulsive. She had lived that way for a good portion of her life not by choice. ”I imagine that it would be very frustrating to listen to. These people do realize they are shackling themselves to the Princess right? I doubt anyone would bring themselves to call it slavery, but the amount of dependence that brings might as well be.”

Phaidor nodded to her. "It is in a way, mentally at least. Junko would never chain them up, never abuse them and will always do what it takes to make sure they are sheltered, fed and safe... and I do not know what happened to you but some might choose slavery over a life. I have seen Nar Shaddas lower reaches and even the sectors where some live. They choose to serve for food and a bed. This is different enough and in some cases the serving girls in the palace you see they come from what would be considered the poorest families... sent here to elevate their families. In older times the Keisei would buy children from families that couldn't afford to feed them and that looked exceptionally beautiful. There was never malice to it... it was seen as helping." Phaidor shrugged looking at Junko as another was handled. Phaidor was looking at it though as Kioshi spoke with a smile. "It is not as bad as she makes it sound... the people are good and this is how we show our appreciation... The empress does it by adopting those who have lost their families into the Sansin. Junko does it by pushing more and more advancement of technologies so everyone can take care of themselves."
