- Name: Atma Ticsiti
- Atma Ticsiti is ur-Kittat, the language of the Sith, for Arc Raptor. Due to the electrocyte mutations and innate Force abilities induced by the Lady of Secrets and her biomancers within the creatures, the Order of Arcane Syn thought it was an appropriate title for the new Sithspawn as they can generate powerful electrical attacks and move as fast as a bolt of lightning, hyperbolically.
- Designation: Non-sentient
- Origins:
- Valrar
- Most members of the species lurk within the Umori Rainforest, stalking and hunting for prey underneath the canopy of the jungle. The creatures can't make full use of their speed within the jungle terrain they hunt within, but if a pack happens to stray onto the nearby Ketria Lowlands, they can make use of their incredible speed to keep pace with any prey on the grasslands. Even speeders need to be wary of a pack of Atma Ticsiti that think they can score an easy meal, with the Order of Arcane Syn recommending any travelers have an escort if they stray too far from designated paths, although that is true for most areas of the planet.
- Brosi
- As a continuing sign of the partnership between the Order of Arcane Syn with A'mia Madrona and Spore Industries, several clutches of eggs were sent to Brosi for the Neti and her followers to study and populate the planet, also ostensibly to ensure that the next generation of the Maelridae line of Sithspawn is available for their use.
- Valrar
- Average Lifespan: 40 Galactic Standard Years
- The extension of the Atma Ticsiti specimens' lifespan over the original creatures was not a subject of research or development by the Order of Arcane Syn. The forty standard years lifespan of the Maelridae and the other composite creatures was deemed acceptable.
- Estimated Population: Scattered
- As the creatures have been introduced into the ecosystems of both Valrar and Amaltanna, and with the expectation that they will be further spread across worlds and facilities under the control of the Lady of Secret's allies and other Sith deemed in favor of Darth Arcanix, the Atma Sicsiti are anticipated only to continue spreading into the galaxy.
- Description:
- A large and menacing saurian creature, the Atma Ticsiti or Arc Raptor, are dangerous and ferocious predators within the jungles they claim as their hunting grounds. The spines that grow along their back crackle and glow with a red electrical field, not to mention the visage of the creature rushing towards their prey in a blur of speed, claws, and fangs. If one hears their screeching sonic call nearby, it is likely too late to escape notice of the pack.
- Breathes: Type I
- Average Height of Adults:
- Typically, an average adult member of the species reaches around 3 meters in height, although some specimens have been observed growing slightly larger if they have a steady source of sustenance.
- Average Length of Adults:
- Typically, an average adult member of the species reaches around 5 meters in length, measured from snout to the tail tip, although some specimens have been observed growing slightly longer, especially if they are members of a pack that has migrated into a grasslands biome.
- Skin color:
- Within their original biome on Valrar, the skin and scale coloration of the Atma Ticsiti ranges from a dull gray to a rusty brown, with the skin and scales on their bellies being paler. The specimens that have hatched and grown on Brosi, however, have been observed with greenish coloration to their skin and scales, likely due to that planet's unique biosphere.
- Hair color:
- Atma Ticsiti do not have hair, nor do they have any analogue that one might consider hair.
- Distinctions:
- The most distinctive physical traits of an Atma Ticsiti are the prominent spines that grow along its back, starting from its snout and running the length of its body. Some of these spines even grow upon their arms, but all of them crackle with an angry red glow as they channel electrical energy that the creatures can unleash in various forms. The saurian also has vicious-looking claws upon both its hands and feet, hooked and sharp enough to pierce through armor, and these are complimented by the equally sharp and serrated fangs found within its maw. Males of the species have a darker coloration than females and typically have sharper claws, while females have more spines along their backs.
- Races:
- No other races, although they are related to the Maelridae purely because it is a previous generation of the Sithspawn created by Darth Arcanix and the Order of Arcane Syn, and is partially included in the creature's DNA composition.
- Force Sensitivity: All
- Due to the processes utilized by the Lady of Secrets and the Order of Arcane Syn to create and to imbue them with the innate Force abilities for the Atma Ticsiti, each member of the species would be classified as Force Sensitive. As they are non-sentient, they cannot be taught new Force abilities and can only rely upon the instinctive knowledge embedded within them for the abilities gifted to them by Darth Arcanix.
- Gifted and imprinted with the innate knowledge of how to utilize certain Force Powers by the Lady of Secrets and her followers, each member of the species can utilize the following abilities when engaged with prey or enemies:
- As part of the creation of the Arc Raptor, the Lady of Secrets and her followers induced a specific mutation within the creations to form the spines that appear across the creatures' bodies. These spines are specially-designed electrocytes that allow the creature to store and unleash electrical energy in their attacks as a stunning or paralytic effect, or if they are utilizing Force Lightning from a distance to enhance its potency.
- Much like their Maelridae progenitor, an Arc Raptor is extremely fast, able to achieve bursts of speed of up to 200 km/h on flat surfaces such as the grasslands where some packs live, and if they are utilizing Force Speed. If not utilizing this ability, they can run up to 100 km/h for a significant period of time. When in the jungle habitats they prefer, their speed is utilized more for ambushing prey in quick bursts of action and not for prolonged sprinting.
- Through the use of Sith alchemy, the claws and fangs of an Atma Ticsiti are incredibly potent weapons, easily having the capabilities to tear through flesh and bone, even standard-issue armors can be torn to shreds in moments in a combat situation.
- Another feature carried over from the Maelridae is the ability for dark side Force users to forge close connections with an Atma Ticsiti, with some Sith being able to utilize the saurians as mounts. The creature, once bonded with a Force user, are extremely loyal to that individual.
- If subjected to a ysalamiri void bubble, void stone suppression field, or other means of disrupting the Force, the Atma Ticsiti lose all access to their abilities until they are free of the suppression. In addition, if that field is deployed while they are actively running at top speeds, they will almost immediately crash, severely injuring or killing the creature outright.
- While the Arc Raptor is able to ward off blaster fire using its Energy Resistance, heavier weapons will still overpower the creature's ability. In addition, the creatures are not innately armored and are thus susceptible to other forms of attack. Any armoring would need to be provided to the creature through specially designed equipment or further experimentation and mutation of the species.
- Once they discharge their stored electrical energy, it can take some time for the creature to once again accrue enough power where it can use its stunning effect or to enhance projected Force Lightning. Order of Arcane Syn biomancers have observed it can take an individual raptor somewhere between three and five standard minutes before their electrocytes have recharged enough to utilize the ability again.
- If the connection to a bonded master is severed in some manner, whether it be by death of the master or through a mental Force attack, the creatures will go into a berserk frenzy, tearing through friend and foe alike until it is either calmed or eliminated.
- Diet:
- Atma Ticsiti are carnivorous non-sentients, eating any creature that they can hunt down within their hunting grounds.
- Communication:
- Between members of their own species, specifically among their packs, they communicate through a series of different hisses, whistles, growls, and a very particular screech that acts as their hunting call. They can understand orders issued to them through the dark side of the Force or spoken aloud in ur-Kittat, the language of the Sith species.
- Technology level:
- The creatures are unable to utilize technology in any way due to being a non-sentient species.
- Religion/Beliefs:
- The creatures are unable to form religious beliefs or a belief system in general due to being a non-sentient species.
- General behavior:
- Atma Ticsiti are pack creatures while within the wilds of Valrar or Brosi, typically formed by a female and her offspring, preferring to hunt within specific territories in a manner similar to a pack of wolves. The creatures also demonstrate an instinctive cunningness, such as using ambush tactics against larger prey or groups, or stalking prey before calling for their pack if they deem it too dangerous to fell on their own. Adult males, especially when in mating season, will wander between packs and attempt to earn a female's approval by fighting other males or creating dazzling and unique displays of lightning. When bonded to a Force user, the creatures will treat their master as their pack leader, becoming completely subservient to their orders. However, they will lose nothing of their lethality.
Having long ago slated the Maelridae Sithspawn for a much-needed evolution, but putting that project on a metaphorical backburner as other experiments claimed her attention, Darth Arcanix was finally swayed to invest in the project by her long-time ally,
The result would be the first batch of Atma Ticsiti, Arc Raptors in Galactic Basic. The new creatures were designed to be slightly larger than the original Maelridae, once again making use of Tythonian Raptors as a base to mutate, with significant improvements made to the design in some areas. While they were slowed from their progenitor project by a degree, they had the significant advantage of maintaining their eyesight, and their speeds could now be enhanced with bursts of Force Speed instead. The most significant mutation induced by the Mother of Monsters and her followers were specially-created electrocyte spines that could store and unleash electrical energy. These spines were grown across the creature's body, giving them the ability to unleash a stunning strike with their tails or claws, or unleashing bolts of enhanced Force Lightning as a ranged attack.
Released into the wilds, first in the Jirina Testing Grounds for study and then in the Umori Rainforest once they were deemed strong enough to survive in the extremely dangerous environments of Valrar, the creatures quickly formed hunting grounds and packs to carve a place in the Valrari ecosystem. In addition, the Lady of Secrets sent a clutch of the eggs to Brosi as a continued show of her commitment to the partnership with Spore Industries and
