SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Stealthy: Between its Sound-Baffling System and Reflec Coating, the AT-RT/L is incredibly difficult to locate on sensors and is nearly silent in operation
  • Performance: The AT-RT/L is quite fast moving and agile, allowing the vehicle to keep pace with its quarry or outrun anything that might outgun it
  • Grenades: Each AT-RT/L comes equipped with six grenade launchers, giving the vehicle a powerful area of effect weapon
  • Small: The AT-RT/L is a physically small vehicle, making it more difficult to hit during engagements
  • Scout: Each AT-RT/L is equipped with a variety of equipment that allows the vehicle to excel in its role as a scouting and reconnaissance walker
WEAKNESSES
  • Grenades: The Grenade Launchers equipped on the AT-RT/L are single shot weapons, and must be manually reloaded after firing
  • Fragile: The AT-RT/L is only lightly armored, and is not designed for combating heavily armored enemies
  • Open: The AT-RT/L is designed with an open cockpit, leaving anyone driving the walker vulnerable to attack
  • Weak: Besides its Grenade Launchers, the AT-RT/L is only equipped with a twin laser cannon, leaving it outclassed in terms of firepower by most other vehicles
  • Expensive: AT-RT/L's are quite expensive to produce due to their stealth features, which is why they are only constructed in small numbers
DESCRIPTION

Created at the behest of Lothar Braeyek, who volunteered to lead an elite scouting unit, the AT-RT/L was designed from the outset to be a small and stealthy combat walker, one capable of monitoring large swathes of the battlefield without being detected by enemy forces. To do this, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant made a number of modifications to the base model of the AT-RT to make it more suitable for Braeyek's squadron.

First and foremost was the inclusion of Reflec Coating over the exterior of the vehicle, making it immensely difficult to detect on sensors. Coupled with the walker's original Sound-Baffling System, the AT-RT/L is exceptionally stealthy, allowing Braeyek and his men to remain unnoticed as they move about the battlefield. Furthermore, the AT-RT/L is already quite small for a walker, making it even more difficult for enemy forces to locate.

The AT-RT/L also comes equipped with a variety of scouting instruments, such as an NZ SAP-2A SSA [Sensor Systems Array], a Tracing Antenna and Broadband Antenna, Tractor Adhesion Pads and a Tagger for tracking high value targets. For its armament, the AT-RT/L comes equipped with twin NZ LC-2A Laser Cannons and Six Grenade Launchers capable of firing a variety of munitions, such as smoke grenades or Thermal Detonators, though each launcher can only fire a single projectile before requiring a reload.

As one might imagine, the AT-RT/L's greatest strengths lie in its high speed, small size, and ability to go about undetected. The walker itself is quite lightly armored and relatively underarmed, making it ineffective against more powerful, heavily armored vehicles and enemy units. Nonetheless, the AT-RT/L performs its role quite admirably, and will surely serve Lothar Braeyek and his scouting squadron well.
