An increasingly desperate enemy began to lockdown the station to stem the hordes of battle droids steadily overtaking the station. Certain tactics, like venting, were ineffective against the droids and soldiers equipped with their own hardsuits. Other measures, like the sealing of blast doors and outages, did work to slow their advance, but they would not be stopped, prepared for such events. With either thermal detonator tape, or plasma disruptors they eventually breached through doors and hallways to continue on their mission of termination and seizure.

Against the mobile shield emplacements and other barricades hastily setup by the FO defenders, YVH-2 Droids would bum rush the positions waving around their energy swords. Such a frontal assault was practically suicide for most of the droids making the attempt, but that was the point. By the time the battered chassis reached their destination, they would often self-destruct to clear out the pocket of defenders and blast apart their barricades. No doubt this would have a severe psychological effect on the stormtroopers and crewmen manning their own emplacements.

Elsewhere, Jyoti waited patiently with her breaching team as she waited for the other others to regroup with her. Allyson came first, sharing data she had managed to extract from the stormtrooper’s helmet earlier.

“Thank you, it’s a good start. I’ll get you in a much better position to slice their systems once we hit their ops center.”

She hoped the First Order wasn’t employing any Kiribian security tech on this station, or Allyson may not have any luck breaching their systems. Data gathered by Mithril data centers during the battle of Anoat had hardened its systems against future intrusions by means of
mechu-deru. Now every machine across the cloud benefitted from such improvement in defenses by means of machine learning. That was one of the reasons she had brought the slicing kit as a backup, to fight one machine with another.

Allyson reached out to pat her on the for a moment before repositioning. Jyoti remained mum on the act, but she quietly relished the touch of the Corellian. It was in times like those, she just wanted to blurt out the truth and put down the mask of Jyoti Nooran. Though for the good of the Silver Order, and the ones she loved, that would probably never happen. That part of her life was dead and gone.

As Ondizi and the other finally arrived, it looked like they could finally move on, but as she motioned for them to board the lift, all the lights in the corridor went dead. As the FO positions had been overrun in the section, power had been cut off to stave off the breach of the Operation Center itself.

“Feth,” she hissed. “Of course it wouldn’t be that easy.”

There would only be more bad news as
Valkren contacted her about his progress on taking the engineering section. The FO had managed to sabotage the hyperdrive before Valkren’s forces could move to secure it. She let out a sigh as she was forced to reconsider her plans. The FO wasn’t known about being shy about scuttling their vessels, if Skor was any indicator. As it dawned upon the FO battlegroup outside that they may lose the station to her forces, they may just try to take out the station to keep it out of the Silvers’ hands. They probably wouldn’t have time to fix the hyperdrive and neutralize the interdictor fields.

“Copy that, Raider 01,” she replied, not even bothering to hide her displeasure in her voice as she addressed Valkren. “Check it out again and see if we can salvage it. If not, then prepare to withdraw back to Nightshade. Make sure you grab some techs or anyone knowledgeable about the inner workings of the station down there. Grab the FU if you can as well. They could also be valuable.”

“Welp,” she addressed her own team again. “Looks like the FO threw a wrench in our plan. We may not be flying off with this station, but we can at least scrape it for valuable data in the event we have to just demo the whole thing. If we can’t have it, then no one will.”

Another hail, this time by Captain Noa direct through their neural nets.

<
It looks like the FO finally decided to get off its kiester and engage me, but there has been an interesting development. Earlier, my sensor operators stumbled upon a satellites that seem to be working to amplify the strength of the local interdictor field being generated by the station. As soon as some of these satellites took damage from our fire, we notice a significant drop in field strength.>

Jyoti perked up at that news. The confirmed her earlier suspicion that the FO didn’t quite have a grip on this new interdictor tech like they all had been led to believe. There was now a glaring weakness that could be exploited.

<Excellent, keep the attacks, and spread the word if you haven’t already. And please keep the enemy fleet off our backs as we work in here.>

<Of course, our bombers wing should
arriving soon. I’ll direct Commander Decker to have his bombers target the relays once he’s in position.>

Noa referred to the Mantis, the fastest bombers in the galaxy, which would be able to drop right on top of their targets thanks to their HIMS.

<Then I’ll leave you to it, thank you for the update.>

She deactivated her lightsaber and clipped it back on her belt as she studied the sealed doors of the lift.

“We’re not going to let little something like a loss of electricity hinder us,” she told her team, some newfound levity in her voice.

She clapped her hands forward, then spread them apart. The doors corresponded to her motions, flattening apart like accordions. The stuck lift capsule screeched and groaned as she forced it downward
with with a slow downward pull of her fist. Once the top of the capsule was level with the floor, she clicked her heels twice to activate the mag locks, and reached for her grappling hook.

“Get ready to climb.”

She was the first to launch her grapple, wishing on everything that this was the last major hurdle they had to face before finally reaching the nerve center of the whole station.

Enemies: Time

The alarms put a new mission in all their minds, a instinctive mission to run, fight and survive. The Ren kept up with the Commando Team as they moved with pace down through the corridors, their sweep forgotten as they merged into panicked Alliance Crew, none truly facing the other. Their enemies were no longer opposite, all were faced with the greatest enemy of all; sure death, should they not cooperate with their instinct.

A young lad, technician by the looks was dispatched in front of the team, a startled pause overtaking the Colonel, it would go un-noted to the agent of Sieger. More footfalls, more alarms and more panic carried around them, filtered through the air of burnt electrics and smoke. The ship was starting to come apart at the seams and the entire crew and boarders knew it.

A thud startled them, shaking the ship so violently that the Ren lost his footing, fell sideways and had to put his arms out to catch himself against the corridor of the ship. It was all it took to be separated from the rest of the team. A large fireball threw across a bulkhead, throwing him back as well as two other commandos, a throw of which only he and one other would stand from. They were however blocked from pursuing the others, flames and twisted metal blocking their path.

“Argh!” Krayn grunted, his fingers clenching in anger. “WE FIND ANOTHER WAY.” His voice, even darkened by the helmet was full of rushed fear and angst. Yet the commando, loyal to his Order nodded and fell behind him as they headed to the left, down the corridor they had not come from. It took them further and further away from the others, but Alliance personnel had thickened giving them hope of some means of escape.

“Sir escape pods.” The Commando praised, pointing as several hisses of smoke sounded indicating the release of some. “There is still one at the—“ The trooper hit the ground as a blaster bolt hit him in the back, several Alliance marines, not content with their retreat had taken aim at the pair ending the loyal First Order soldier’s life before he was turned to atomised star dust. Krayn’s saber flew, deflecting shots aimed at him as he headed backwards, with steady steps towards the pod. Concentrating on the seals with his mind he made sure no release would be made before he got there, his hands busy with their own task as with a fluid sweep around him a shot was deflected into the closest of the troopers.

His heel found the lip of the pod, stepping into it he waved his arm and several of the troopers went flying as the door shut between him and them. He wouldn’t be able to release until several others were already banging on the transparent window between the corridor and his safe haven. Their faces fading fast as with a click the pod released and sunk into the abyss beyond the Alliance flagship.

It was only then that he heard the breathing, the fear behind him as he turned slowly. A lone Alliance Officer led behind him, clearly having got into the pod unknowing of his soon to be travel partner. He held no weapon. “Who are you?” The Ren asked curiously. “Speak.”

“I’m just a…just a logistics officer. I-I-Don’t kill me.” He coward behind his arms, refusing to look at the Ren with his tear filled eyes. “I just want to live. I just want to go home.”

“A Logistics Officer?” Krayn squatted down, lowering himself to the Officer’s level, his mask tilting sidewards. “Perhaps this mission will have some use after all.” His hand moved out to press lightly against the side of the Officer’s head. His following screams blocked out by the stunned silence that followed the brightest of lights from above them, a star birthed anew that would send the pod flying off to wherever it would go.

They were truly alone now.

Which was exactly how the Ren preferred it.

TIES screamed behind him chasing him, trying with all their might to stop the Mandalorian from entering the hangar of the Assimilator-Class Star Destroyer. The blue environmental shield passed over him as two green bolts bounced off the outer hull of the ship, a final attempt by the First Order TIEs to take him down.

Dorn and his droid flew into the hangar by the skin of their teeth and came in for a crash landing, knocking over people, TIES and really anything in the way of the War Droid. The sound of grating Beskar on durasteel shrilled throughout the hangar. He could finally breath without the oxygen tank, a welcome feeling. He could also hear. And hear well he did, blasters were trained on him and his droid from all directions.

Seemed like someone needed to give these soldiers a little history lesson.

Today's topic, why the Basilisk has been one of the Mandalorians' greatest companions for thousands of years.

"Commander Asturo! We're being fired upon!" The electronic countermeasure suite's distinct feminine voice fills Dako's ears through the white platoid helmet though he didn't need it; both of his azure spheres looming behind the polarised visor was seeing enough; Dauntless' hull releases a passionate shriek from the floors, this time it wasn't just the whine of a distant bulkhead collapsing under continued punishment this forced the Commander's eyes wide and forces him to pivot on his boots heels, eyes peer around searchingly. "What in Tatooine is going on!? Onami, Report!" The bridge's very walls seem to contort ever so slightly, with the radiographer pulling their headset excitedly off of his head before yelling over to Dako. "Sir! It's our bow it's shearing away from the hull!" The Red Fleet and Therapy Command's wrath had finally proven too much for the Dauntless' battered scarred hull, the bridge's lights immediately turn crimson and each member of the command staff is thrown back; Dako loses his footing and slides across the floor after a loud 'thud' for a feet before coming to pause from outside the Dauntless' bridge one could clearly examine the Dauntless' bow peel away from the hull just fore of amidship before reactor. Rising to his feet calmly with Onami rushing to steady his Commanding Officer Dako's pride forces its considerable way down his throat deep into gut which quickly rises given way to cool beads of sweat and fear. "Let's abandon ship...." Dako quietly concedes towards Onami, who still stared out over the bow steadily tugging away from behind the transparisteel with aft-section keeling upwards; power was still available and life support might give them twenty minutes to evacuate. "Comm! Send out word for all personnel to evacuate; advise engineering to plant timed scuttle charges; detonation for twenty-five minutes." Though Dako did not see it Onami gave the Commander a small smile the Chiss man inwardly concerned that Asturo might have been too consumed by glory or pride to admit defeat after such a crippling blow.

"Commander Asturo we're receiving a fire order from Imperator Command; they want us to hit the Red Veil." Dako scoffs and gestures to beyond the Transparisteel viewports of the bridge lazily silently questioning 'Does it look like we're in any condition to fight?' "Admiral's Orders; Belay that, continue with the current course of action." Dako breathes a sigh of relief for a moment he inwardly feared the good Admiral's specter had finally fried his circuits. "Patch my helmet's comlink into the Fleetcom, I would tell Admiral Rausgeber of our current situation personally." Dako felt obliged as a Dosuun Gentleman to take full responsibility for what he perceived as a failure on his own part, some microphone whine fills the helmet for a moment indicating to Commander Asturo he'd been conneted to FLEETCOM. "Imperator Command this is Dauntless Command; The FIV Dauntless has been disabled our hull has sheared in half and we're beginning evacuation and scuttling procedures, our entire Cruiser Group has taken heavy losses we're down to three damaged cruisers and as many frigates. I shall be transferring my flag to the FIV Harbinger, may the force guide you Sir." Dako bows his head and briefly places an open hand over his own breast as if the Admiral were watching; it was humility in the face of such a defeat but perhaps Dauntless would be remembered for their continued charge in spits of the odds; Battlecruisers and Star Defenders and silently resolves to never be caught so outmatched again. Perhaps it would not have been so if their fighters and bombers were busy defending Triaxis. Looking to Onami with a wry smirk on the face behind helmet's frowny visage. "Go on now mister Onami, I want you off this ship and into one of the bridge escape pods with the non-essential personnel." Onami adopts a look of worry and concern. "But what of yourself Commander Asturo and the Command Crew?" Dako lets out a 'hah!' followed by a hearty chuckle. "I'll save all of them or die trying; I will remain behind to ensure that all of our crew make if to their evacuation groups and the life pods. Now you must play your part and ensure that personnel not essential to organizing the evacuation leave immediately."

"Commander Asturo! The Itsukusk has just collided with Triaxis!" Dako pivots in his boots like a demon possessed at the news looking towards the commsman he marches over with a furious weight to his step focused on the crewmember. "What!? Give me a status on Triaxis, what of the Alliance's Commander?" Listening to his headset for a moment before composing a reply looking over shoulder to the white-armored Commander. "He sent us a message; Commander Ven went down with the Itsukusk" Dako bows his head respectfully for a moment out of professional admiration for their Supreme Commander's sacrifice and bravery, that man should be remembered as an example of the selflessness oftentimes demanded by such responsibility. "That will throw their fleet into disarray, what of Triaxis? I suspect that sized impact would do significant damage to the station, are our interdictor nets still in place?" The Comms officer switrches channels and listens to a different frequency regarding news of Triaxis, with the Radiographer's voice cutting in; interrupting the Commander's thoughts. "Commader! I cannot hear anything over the sound of the Itsukusk breaking up! My equipment is likely damaged though." Before Dako could even process that the Comms Officer comes back with even more bad news peering over his shoulder towards Commander Asturo. "The Interdiction net is still in place, thanks to the other stations and the Interceptor Sir. We've received another casualty; FIV Harbinger is reporting that her weapon systems have been disabled by a weapon blowback, they're working on repairing the damage now. FIV Staff just had a catastrophic reactor detonation." Dauntless had sustained near 50% casualties in terms of vessels and likely not much less in terms of personnel; Hundreds if not Thousands dead. The price of large-scale fleet actions, this war was just beginning and Dako hoped the price his sailors had paid thus far would see a handsome reward for the First Order and themselves. Dako satisfied now chooses to launch a full evacuation. "Alright, I want all hands to abandon ship, pass the word along to ensure those scuttle charges are placed."

FN-6767 "Scars"
ANS Excubitor, Auxillary Hanger Starboard

gEQFwGL.png
Scars finish cutting through the bulkhead door and spirits her Plasma Torch away into a pouch the edges of the door glowing a hot red she glances towards Pox with missiles dangling from his flight jumpsuit; It was almost a comical scene. "Don't get too excited now big guy you might explode and then we'll both be dead but maybe atleast then I won't have to tolerate your singing!" Scars smirked standing up from her crouching position and braces shoulder against the blast door; leaning against it and pushing off of the floor with both feet looking towards Pox, grunting as her modest weight fails against the thick black blast door. "You know I could use a hand over here! I'm only a Rancor in spirit alright." More and more Scars' spoke to Vlannem like a friend; the events they were going through together made the Stormtrooper feel more open with the Pilot despite their disparate origins. Scars rolls her cybernetic emerald eyes from behind visor towards Pox on the women comment. "I'm jealous, Victorian starlets are all the rage within my Platoon." There was a hint of subtle scarasm in Scars' tone through any smugness she might have felt is abruptly interrupted by the whine of Vacuum; they were attempting to flush the both of them back out into space. Though Vlannem found himself a fuel cell to clasp onto Scars is not so fortunate, she hurtles back uncontrollably towards vacuum of space grunting as she rolls across the hanger floor, left arm flailing about searching for an anchor from the cold void that inched ever so closer. Then salvation comes Scars' cybernetic hand finally finds its savior in the form of a slightly ajar floor panel creating a gap barely wide enough for scars' fingertips but luckily it is enough for gears and cybernetics. Scars activate her mag-boots and plants the base of boots against the floor for further security.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p56nt7QFSm8
Out of nowhere 'Under Vaccum' by King begins to play while Scars in a wild panic reaches for her holstered G-11F clasping its grip she all but rips it out of the black thermoplastic frame protecting it; and aims in the direction of the warhead struggling to keep the weapon trained with the hungering vacuum of space roaring towards the Stormtrooper calling for her to join the corpses which already were filling its vast emptiness. "Take some Sailor, I'm going to live." Finally one of the shots fired by Scars' blaster will find their mark on the Ion Warhead right beneath the maintenance panel sending out a great shockwave of ionizing energy; Scars' armour disperses it successfully though everything goes black; rendering the Stormtrooper blind unable to see that her HUD has also failed she shrieks. "I'm bliiind!" Even as it might trigger some Durasteel shutter of some description restoring pressure, Scars will go to rise only to stumble, panicking she yells. "I can't see! I can't see!" The Cybernetic spheres sitting in sockets did not withstand the Ion feedback and failed in response rendering the Tank Commander completely absent of sight, unable to make out even shadows. "Help! Help!!" She cries; tripping over her own feet sending the Stormtrooper face-down on the Hanger floor, utterly vulnerable.

Whisperer
FIV Executioner, Engineering Deck, Reactor Room.

The hand thrusts forward though the attack is not as effective as hoped Whisperer senses some cunning before being confronted with some large blaster pistol it discharges and junior Praetorian lets out a low 'Oomf' as it impacts the high-quality scarlet armour pushing them back from their Mandalorian 'dancing partner' as it was and into breast though Whisperer gives no outward impression that she is in fact injured, tricking crimson tactfully concealed behind sanguine breastplate and ruby robes. 'I will not embarrass the Supreme Leader today by dying' The thought occurred to the Praetorian who feels some deep pain though continues onward with focus and determination yet undominated by the wound. Using this thrust Whisperer skillfully pivots away from Kryze obscuring left-hand from view for a moment but when coming to face the Warrior again they'd find Whisperer clutching some Slugthrower while still clutching glaive, the Praetorians were not traditional Imperial Troops and they did not rely solely on melee weapons as the Jedi or Knights of Ren; A potential surprise for the grey-armoured Mandalorian Woman perhaps whom Whisperer now faced in a mortal duel of wits and skill. Three squeezes of the Trigger precedes three rounds; each filled with borless acid designed so as to eat through armour hoping to return injuries inflicted back in kind.

Whisperer had now bled and the young Praetorian's mind now shifted from the wider picture onto this sole Mandalorian Warrior whom she felt had slighted her with such an attack. Whisperer will holster the weapon with preternatural speed before putting both hands back to Glaive and with a concealed smirk she separates it into two heavy ax-like weapons, spinning wrists as a sort of challenge. 'But not with the resolve to see it through' Whisperer's thoughts remain within her own mind, waiting to see if the Mandalorian Warrior would live upto that culture's fearsome reputation, uttering a soft verbal challenge. "I would fight you blade in hand Verd, or have I overestimated your warrior's courage?" It was an unspoken offer; fight me with blades and I shall not use the darker powers, not entirely true for Whisperer could not ignore her feelings the pre-cognitive abilities they provide. The use of the word 'Verd' revealed a passing familiarity with Mando'a enough that the Praetorian Guard could use their own words, but how far did the familiarity stretch one could wonder?

Aurora felt her mouth twitch with frustration, her hand still resting on the pilot's knee, still 'reading' him.

"Don't lie to me." She said, a little offended that he thought he'd be able to keep the truth away from her "I'm trying to help you, don't you understand?"

She moved up so she wasn't sat on her legs anymore, knees on the ground as her face levelled with his.

"If you don't tell me what you know then they'll just get someone who can get it out of your bloodied body."

Her words were harsh but true, brows furrowing as she leant a little closer, trying to show sympathy as her other hand rested on his own.

"We need to work together on this. From what I can guess, we have only moments until someone else comes to interrogate you but if you just talk to me then we can go straight to the med bay and you won't be in anymore pain."

Her eyes watched him closely, to watch his reaction as well as making sure he wasn't about to attack her. Even though she held his hand for comfort, it was also to weigh it down. She knew all too well that not everyone responds to fear the same way. She just hoped this man knew what he had to do to survive.

Playing to Shia's overconfidence is always a good move, and while she did turn to present a smaller target as the slugthrower boomed, she did not give up the ground she'd gained to avoid the shots and several struck home - at least one ricocheted off into the darkness and the pipework, no doubt to do more damage to the engineering space. Of the two that didn't, one hit her vambrace and the acid immediately shorted out the fire control on the dart-launcher (unfortunately not setting off the rocket-darts) and one caught a thinner spot in the Beskar armour, striking above the waist and burning clean through armour, underlay and flesh below - unlike her opponents wound this one was very visible and clearly rocked Shia back on her feet with a grunt that could be heard through the helmet.

She didn't seem offended though, that was a good dirty trick, she approved and would have to remember it.

"Haat, Ijaa, Haa'it." She replied, a pact sealed, if the other warrior knew enough of the warriors tongue to understand. If she did not, then the obvious move to holster the insanely sized handcannon in it's back holster and sight of both vambrace blades locking back into place, before Shia offered a truly ancient neo-crusaders salute by slamming both blades together in a cross, their clash loud enough to be heard over the bedlam in engineering.

This fight would be over soon, because engineering would be...

... the gravity went off, as Bakio had warned. Immediately, Shia triggered the mag-locks in her armours boots and then charged her opponent. Although charged is a variable term when using mag boots, it was more like a fast lumber, but she didn't have far to go and could maybe get a moments advantage while her opponent reacted to the gravity going out. She didn't doubt Preatorians trained for this and had armour with similiar features to hers. But a zero-g melee fight can go two ways - slower on the ground or a mad swirling knife fight in the air.

She went in high with her beskad, holding back the kal as a parrying or disarming blade for the inevitable sweep of the glaive's haft, then used the rebound from the parry to come across body and sweep the beskad up in a low, rising arc.

She's obviously favouring her unwounded side, both because of the gap it presents, and the pain she's feeling even through the cocktail of combat drugs flooding her system.

'My heritage?'

This insensitive little..

'Pull yourself together, Lily.'

She certainly couldn't act out - lash out - being hung like some expensive vase in the air, examined with some mild interest by the man she just couldn't understand, who just didn't understand her, but she couldn't let him get to her. Part of her had already realized what he was doing - it was certainly unacceptable, and she'd beat it into his thick skull, but it was understandable all the same.

She'd asked herself, just after she had told him she loved him, if the distance he'd put between them was in confusion - not in rejection. It had only been one thought of ten thousand, of course - she hadn't been thinking clearly, and misinterpreted his words, his actions, for being something radically different than they'd been. Even now, part of her wondered if she was just reaching - if she even knew him at all - but she recognized that impetuous tone with his sharp words, that pleased expression - as though he felt like he was getting back at her for something she'd done to him. In her fantasy, when they had been together, she'd forgotten what he was - who he was - and hadn't taken into consideration that he had been the child of a Sith lord that hadn't given him the same care and love that her own parents had given her - where she'd been nurtured and cared for, he had probably struggled and been pushed for a success of a different kind from hers.

It didn't lessen the hurt she'd felt from this.. this display, but it allowed her to see the perspective of a man that didn't really have the sort of experience with using his heart like she did. He was almost smug in his taunt of his control over the situation, as if he was reminding her of how little she was, when he explained his advantages over her before he released her from the stasis she'd been subject to. In a way they were the same in that regard, taking things a step too far to lash out, and acting without communicating. She never could have hurt him purposely, of course, but she'd done it anyway - and in a way that would have crushed her, as he had been crushing her now. She'd hoped he had came for her, to whisk her away like a thief in the night. It was a fleeting hope, but it was hope all the same - a hope that shrank smaller and smaller with each aggressive retaliation.

Rising from the floor, where she'd dropped when he'd casually turned his attention to the communications console, Lily clenched her jaw tight as she reasoned with herself, tried to think of a reasonable response - a measured one.

"What is the point?"

"After all this time, after I thought I could just get over you - after I swore off the idea of ever getting in a relationship again - you show up."

Okay, maybe not reasonable.

"I'm karking done, A'sharad - I am done. I'm not doing this, I'm not going to fight you - you can have your ships, you can have whatever you karking want, I'd give you whatever you wanted, but all I've ever wanted was for you to want me."

Or measured.

She hadn't meant to get so angry, but he deserved the lip he got for how he'd treated her - and he'd better not think she was letting him off with a flick of anger, either. No, she walked over to that communication's suit and punched in her access code, a petite hand lingering close to the Sith's briefly, before she recoiled away as though struck. There was a beep, something like the sound of orders being shouted in the background, and the bridge of the Red Veil was patched into the communications systems that she shared with the Galactic Alliance ships present. "Hello, this is Commodore Lily Kuhn speaking - I am hereby resigning from my post as a naval officer of the Alliance. All of my corporate assets that are being flown in this skirmish are being surrendered to the First Order as a plea for mercy of the men and women aboard those ships. I am in no direct harm, and I am safe - please do not send further attempts at aid to my ship or my position, and I would appreciate that the Alliance not fire on my ship." The Tetan said through clenched teeth. Another tap of her finger and she ended the call, followed by a subsequent connection of the communications systems on the ship with those present on her own ships - those she'd produced herself through Koros Spaceworks.

"This is Lily Kuhn, the Red Fleet is surrendering to the First Order and I am currently negotiating your safety. I can only guarantee the safety of those that surrender willingly, if you continue to fight you will only jeopardize the lives of the crew you work with. I will not hold it against those of you who choose to take to escape pods, but I can only help if you remain where you are."

She looked up at the Sith Lord and arched her brow. Was he going to go ahead and get this over with? She clearly wasn't that important to him - a sentiment she shoved at his psyche through telepathy, well aware that speaking it out loud would require him to respond in a way that would be expected of the First Order's Supreme Commander. A response that would be, likely, a long aggravating hostage affair. That didn't keep her from giving him an expecting stare and an audible sigh.

'Well, you've gotten what you wanted - are you going to get rid of me now? I'd stay, but, you know, I'm me.'

Sarcasm flowed freely even in that mental space, her expression as unhappy as her words should have sounded in his head.

His response, however, surprised her a little more than she thought it might.

"You're staying with me."

It wasn't exactly pleasant, and it probably sounded more like an order than an admission to the two that had accompanied A'sharad to the bridge, but she recognized the meaning behind the words and nodded slowly, her expression a little more shocked than not.

"Oh."

Her mind raced as she realized what that would mean for her - and the system she ruled over. What it would mean if her parents never heard from her after she resigned from her position in the navy and disappeared. There wasn't much thought put into it further as she typed in her secondary access code, activating the subspace transmitters, and another set of numbers that connected her with the answering machine for her parent's home communicator. "Dad, Danger, hi! This is Lily, I'm calling from, uh, a ship out in deep space. You might hear about this on the holonet or in the news - you might even be hearing about it now - but I've been caught up in some complicated stuff, but I wanted to let you know I'm okay. I don't want you to worry about me, but I'm going to be, uhm, I'm going to be going to First Order space and I've made the decision to give up the throne on Teta. I'm going to be staying with someone, a guy, A'sharad, for a little while, okay? I'm safe, I just need to do this for me. I'm going to hang up now, I only have a little more time left and I still haven't reached out to Teta yet. Love you, I'm going to call you back as soon as I can, I promise!"

If she sounded composed while she spoke, she certainly didn't look it. It wasn't easy for her to give up something as important to her as her responsibility and role as the Empress of Teta, something she'd accepted only because it'd felt like she was carrying part of her mother with her by doing so, or for her to tell her parents something so important through a recorded message. There weren't any tears, this time around, but she was visibly uncomfortable and shaken. She keyed in another set of numbers, likely the number for the subspace transmitter in the Iron Citadel and was immediately welcomed by the sound of another lady's voice over the communication system.

"It is good to hear from you, your grace. What can I do for you?"

"I'm sorry, Leena, but I'm going to need to ask a big favor from you - and I apologize in advance for the trouble it's going to cause. This communication is being recorded, right?"

"I'm sure it won't be an issue. This conversation is being recorded, yes - all communications with you are always recorded."

"Alright, that might make this a little easier.." She said, biting her lip momentarily as she braced herself for what she was about to ask. "I need you, on my behalf, to declare my formal abdication of the throne - I will not be returning to the Iron Citadel and I do not know when I will be coming back. I have no appointed heir, so the next in line will need to take the throne."

"I.. I'm sorry, you're abdicating the throne? Am I getting this right?"

"Yes, Leena. I wouldn't do this if there was any other option on the table here. I appreciate all of the work you, and everyone, has put in and all the support you have shown during my rule, but I'm afraid it's coming to an end earlier than I expected."

"Okay. I, uh, I'll take care of it, then. Good luck with whatever it is you've involved yourself with, Miss Kuhn." She said, the feed going dead shortly thereafter as Lily stepped away from the communications console.

"Are you satisfied now?" She asked, genuinely curious
