SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTHS
  • "Deja Vu!": The Artus-class APC is defined by Mandal Hypernautic's signature omni-directional movement, able to change directions on a dime and drift while the stabilized turret tracks the APC's target.
  • Hovering Ace: The Artus-class APC is incredibly versatile due to being a hover craft. It is capable of moving over water, rough terrain, and even temporarily 'flying' a few meters off the ground to vault over large obstacles.
WEAKNESSES
  • Delicate Mechanism: Due to being a hovercraft should the turbolifts, which keep the vehicle aloft, be damaged the APC is practically useless due to needing specialized equipment and parts to repair turbolifts. The Artus-class APC carries some of this equipment with it, but being stranded in the battlefield while needing repairs is practically a death sentence.
  • Anti-Personnel: The Artus-class APC lacks any weaponry to deal with other vehicles and can be easily outmatched. The only hope it might have is if any of its passengers are carrying anti-tank weaponry and are willing to risk their lives to save the vehicle.
DESCRIPTION

Mandal Hypernautics' ground vehicles division would find success with their first project: the "Naast" Pattern Canderous Assault Tank, creating a variant of an already existing design. Having proved their worth they were given proper funding to begin developing new equipment for the Mandalorian Empire, their second project being the design of an APC to ferry Mandalorian Commandos across the battlefield. The Artus-class is the result of those months of design meetings and engineering successes. Named after Mandalore the Vindicated the Artus-class Personnel Carrier is the pinnacle of Mandalorian Engineering, able to added much needed protection and speed to Mandalorian Commando Squads' ground engagements. Its forward-facing doors enable Commandos to pour directly into the fight while still being protected by the shield bubble around the craft and the two 'wings' of durable Dral Kayatr armor to ensure they can enter the battle safely.
