SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The head of the turret can rotate three-hundred-and-sixty degrees around, with the cannons themselves capable of aiming at a downwards angle of thirty degrees and an upwards angle of one-hundred-and-fifty degrees.
  • The turbolaser firing mechanism has two modes, simultaneous fire and stutter-fire. Simultaneous fire involves all three barrels firing at the same time with greater energy output, which was considered more effective against armored ground units. Stutter-fire involves all three barrels firing independently with a lower energy output, which was considered more effective against aerial targets.
  • Protective balistarium around the base structure allows Legionnaires to trade fire with enemy infantry and ground units small enough to evade the turbolaser tower's firepower.
  • Wide open viewports can be augmented with mounted blaster cannons to further increase the defensiveness of the turbolaser towers, and are protected by turadium shudders when not in use.
STRENGTHS
  • Anti-Vehicle: The turbolasers on the tower are enough to punch through most armor and shielding with the exception of notably heavy armored vehicles, and possess enough targeting equipment to keep pace with standard starfighters and bombers.
  • Heavy Armor: Thick armor plating protects the tower from a great deal of external damage, allowing the tower to take its fair share of punishment while dishing out its own.
WEAKNESSES
  • Stationary: Turbolaser towers are fixed structures, usually arranged to defend a city or military fortress. This means that the enemy knows where the towers will be as to either avoid them or formulate a strategy around destroying them based on the environment.
  • Limited Vertical Range: The turbolasers cannot fire straight up or down past thirty degrees, rendering them inefficient against fast moving infantry or aerial attacks from directly above them.
DESCRIPTION

With every world occupied, colonized, or conquered by the imperious Sith Empire, they left behind great works of permacrete and durasteel behind to solidify their gains. These masses of brutalist architecture were a visible symbol of the Empire's might, a reminder to all of the Emperor's mercy that had been bestowed upon them.

Defending these gargantuan structures were monolithic turbolaser towers roughly thirty-five meters tall, armed with a trio of turbolaser barrels capable of firing simultaneously with a higher energy output for ground vehicles or stutter-fire with a smaller energy output but a higher rate of fire. Manned by a crew of ten technicians including gunners and engineers, the towers could rotate the upper weapon portion three-hundred-and-sixty degrees around in any direction.

A security force of up to thirty Legionnaires defended the crew and the internal systems from sabotage and attack.
