Name: Anubian
Designation: Sentient
Homeworld: Ankhypt - http://starwarsrp.net/topic/80844-ankhypt/
Language: Galactic Basic, Ankhyptian, Huttese
Average height of adults: 2.1 to 3 Meters
Skin color: Grey, Black and White, depending on their fur colour.
Hair color: Usually black or white.
Breathes: Oxygen
Strengths:
Physically Honed:
Anubians tend to maintain a very fit physique due to their unique metabolism, and as such are usually very strong or agile, usually a mix of the two, allowing them to excel naturally in the field of battle.
High Intelligence:
Anubians tend to possess a very high intellect compared to many races in the galaxy, and can serve well in roles which require a great deal of intellect, such as scientists, doctors and statesmen.
Heat Resistance:
The Anubian body has naturally evolved to thrive in hot and regular climates, and due to such, they can survive on hot planets like their homeworld, or perhaps even hotter, without even breaking a sweat.
High Force Sensitivity:
Force sensitivity, in recent generations, has suddenly become quite prevalent in Anubian DNA, who are now naturally born with a large midichlorient count. The cause for this seems to be some sort of genetic evolution caused by the recent Netherworld event.

Weaknesses:
Egotistical:
Due to their wealth and standing, the large majority of Anubians tend to possess an overwhelming ego and confidence in themselves. While they back up such for the most part, defeat can prove a blow to their inflated egos.
Lack of Cold Resistance:
A slight disadvantage to living on a desert planet is the fact that Anubians are absolutely useless in cold weather without adequate protection. While coated in fur, it does little to keep them warm on cold worlds, and as such Anubians tend to take extra precautions when dealing with unpleasant Arctic weather.
Sensitive Hearing:
This is both a blessing and a curse to the Anubian people. While allowing them to hear sounds around them more precisely and easily, it does have the disadvantage of making them vulnerable to sonic-based weaponry.
Height:
While not the case for the ENTIRETY of their race, Anubians of larger height and size which comprise the majority of the warrior caste tend to be slightly bigger targets, which they try and compensate for with whatever armor can be provided.
Digitgrade Legs:
While the way their legs have evolved enable them to move with incredible grace and agility, it also has the disadvantage of preventing them from using unmodified ships who's foot controls are not adapted to their physiology, and makes them more easily tripped up if caught off-guard.

Distinctions: Anubians are an anthropomorphic canine race, who are known for their great strength, agility and masterful intellect, as well as their over-inflated self approval.

Average Lifespan: 100 Years.

Races: The Anubian race has remained a rather concentrated group, and as such lack other sub-races.

Estimated Population: Due to a lack of space travel after remaining isolated for the most part, the Anubian population is at a secure and steady five Billion, with such populations mostly concentrated around their cities.

Diet: Anubians, due to their unique physiology, are capable of consuming a great variety of food and fluid, not unlike a human. They do however have an intolerance for Mandalorian Tihaar. The cause of this seems to be some unknown ingredient which causes distress to their metabolism.

Communication: Verbal.

Culture:
Religion:
Anubian culture as a whole is based around the worship of their pantheon of gods, and mastery of their ''god-gifted magic'', which is in all reality their name for the dark side abilities that their high force sensitivity has granted them access to. All Anubians cherish their godly pantheon, and are quick to despise those who would mock them for their beliefs, especially now that their gods have made themselves known to the people of Ankhypt.
Wealth:
The regular Anubian household tends to be quite wealthy, with access to a great deal of comfort, technology and human slaves. Their bountiful gold and gem deposits allow the people of Ankhypt to live like nobles, and as such are extremely protective of their mineral rights on their own planet.
Slavery:
Slavery is a large part of their culture, due to the population of humans on Ankhypt which outnumber them three to one yet serve willingly as their servants, due to the fact they've been indoctrinated over the course of thousands of years to worship the Anubians as living gods. These slaves know very little else, and don't care to learn otherwise, having more than accepted their role upon Ankhypt after thousands of years of servitude.
Nobility:
The Anubian people as a whole are ruled over by several dozen powerful noble houses, which in turn all report to their overall leader, the Pharaoh, who is considered the living voice of the gods on Ankhypt and worshipped just as equally as them.

Technology level: Anubian technology is currently slightly antiquated, with military and civic technologies dating back to just before the Gulag Plague remaining in service even now, though they are by no means primitive. Their recent alliance with Count Morcus has changed things, however, with new weapons and other technologies from the First Order and Techno Union flooding into their society. This currently consists of Galactic Civil War-era tech now reproduced in Ankhyptian foundries, including things like E-11 Blaster Rifles and AT-ST's, ensuring that the Anubian Military are more than adequately equipped to protect their world and wage their own conquests.

General behavior: Anubians are a very proud people, with a long and rich history. They venerate their gods daily and their warriors constantly hone themselves for battle in service to the gods and their Pharaoh, whom they consider the will of the gods made manifest in physical form. Their pride has led to a large racial ego for the most part, with Anubians constantly seeing themselves as blessed by their gods and the rightful rulers of Ankhypt above all others. This can be slightly bothersome when attempting to negotiate or entreaty the Anubians, but if it can be accomplished, they would make strong allies indeed.

History: At the dawn of known Ankhyptian history, the Anubian race was the only sentient species on the planet Ankhypt, and had built a mighty empire after uniting all of the seperate city states. Eventually, however, human colonists arrived on Ankhypt, and stole a large swathe of unsettled land from the local Anubians. The two races began constantly waging war with one another for dominance until the Anubians eventually broke their enemies, forcing them into slavery. Over the course of the next ten thousand years, the humans of Ankhypt were slowly brainwashed and indoctrinated into worshiping and obeying their Anubian masters without question. In more recent, a sizable Cathar population arrived on Ankhypt fleeing from the Galactic Empire. At the mercy of the Pharaoh Imnahteb, he was forced by the influence of his high priests to generously welcome these new visitors to live among them on their world and share in it's wealth, due to their likeness of one of the gods part of the Anubian pantheon. From then on, the Cathar have filled the ''middle class'' of Ankhypt, and while still subservient to the Anubians, are not treated as slaves unlike the human population, and peacefully co-exist with the Anubians of Ankhypt with little complaint.

During the early stages Gulag Plague, Ankhypt recieved terrifying news of the mysterious disease which was causing widespread galactic chaos. Their current Pharaoh adopted an isolationist policy to prevent the population of Ankhypt from being afflicted by such a horrible disease, shooting down any ships that dared approach the planet during such a turmoil filled time for the galaxy. This had the unfortunate effect of quickly using up their stock of food supplies, leading to many deaths from starvation until crops could be grown to meet the demand for food and medicine, though it had spared their species from total destruction. During the recent Netherworld event, several Anubian deities have ''made themselves known'' to the Priesthood and People of Ankhypt, increasing their already notable influence. Such events had also boosted the Anubian people's connection to the force, leading to a higher birth rate of force sensitive individuals. Deciding such remarkable ''gifts'' were a sign from the gods, the current Pharaoh of Ankhypt ended their isolationist policies, believing the time for his people to rise up and become a galactic power had come at long last. They have since made contact with an exiled Serenno nobleman and Dark Jedi by the name of Count Morcus, who has introduced a great deal of new technologies to the Anubian people and provided the assistance of his own private military assets. It is rumored they seek to make ties with the ''First Order'' which has taken up residence in the regions near their planet.

Notable Player-Characters:

Intent: The intent of this new species is to populate my newly made planet, Ankhypt, with a suitable species, and to provide new opportunities for the site at large.

Alright [member="Count Morcus"], looks alright. Just a few things.

Ankhyptian
This is their language, correct?

I'm going to ask for 1-2 more good weaknesses, your strengths don't even compare to your weaknesses. Your creating a hyper-intelligent, battle honed, force sensitive race with very lame weaknesses. Give several good ones.

Count Morcus said:
Alright, split this up into three paragraphs: Force powers, wealth, and slavery. Do this and expand them each a tad and we'll be good. ;)

Expand your Tech a few sentences and your Behavior several more.

Your History section must include the Netherworld event. Specifically when a bunch of people disappeared, you can make half of the race disappear or a few to virtually none.

Overall, cool species. I might use them, if you don't mind :D

Sensitive ears (much like canines)
Perhaps they are resistant to outside tech?

Also, just curious. How are they so resistant to heat without having sweat glands?

I like this, you've done good work on the culture and history.

I would like to see stronger weaknesses, but I'll let you have a go this time.

Please don't do anything which warrants a report or this will be reopened.

Approved.
