Angor Animi

Ossus System

Never in his life had Cameron been described as a very diplomatic entity. He found the idle droning of politicians and idealists to be a bit more than his surprising reserves of patience could stand. Despite that reality, the Sith Lord did have his subtleties that sometimes necessitated his direct involvement in a diplomatic mission. No. The appearance of a diplomatic mission.

"Lord Centurion. Shall I transmit the message?"

From beneath the hood of his dark blue and gray cloak, the Mask of Aatrox replied succinctly as he gazed at the planet before him. "Proceed." His order given, the vessel's Captain quickly set to the task of relaying said order to the junior officer presently supervising bridge operations.

The message itself was a canned, routine message that merely identified the vessel as a representative of the Moross Crusade. It was intended more for any Republic vessels in orbit than anything else. "Shall we attempt to establish communications with the ground?"

A thin smile framed the Sith Lord's features. "I'm sure that is quite unnecessary at this point." Cameron had never really been one to hide his presence, and it was no doubt all too identifiable to a select few. "Ensure Priestess Carter meets me in the hangar bay." Without another word, Cameron turned and made his way for the bridge's exit.

As he walked, the Sith Lord thought on his last visit to the planet and the preceding conversation. Kids these days. They never actually wanted to listen. So why return?

Deliverance of a kindness...in preparation for the arrival of complete failure.

Within minutes of Cameron leaving the bridge of the ship, there was a knock at the door. Not that it was necessary. The Sith Princess was well aware that it was time to go. Still, she opened the door and allowed the minion to deliver the message that he'd been sent to give her.

"Thank you." She nodded to him, dismissing him. Then she stepped out and headed toward the hangar bay. Her attire was comfortable, and fashionable, though not formal or fancy. This visit would be interesting, and could possibly turn away from diplomatic. As she moved down the corridor, she banged on a few doors, indicating that it was time for her apprentices to get moving as well.

She arrived with her apprentices in the hangar bay, and greeted Cameron with a nod. Hopefully they would keep their mouths shut unless addressed, or there would be consequences, which her Chiss apprentice was well aware of. The Zeltron woman had always been more reserved in that regard, which was an asset.

Azlyn made sure she was ready and prepared for this. The first time out with her master and she had her training saber on her hip. The large bangs of hair she had over her face while she walked. She was curious about what her master had planned for them to do out here this far away from the temples of the crusade. Anything could happen and come from it but she kept a smirk on her face while standing in the hanger bay. "I am ready my master."

On a planet that was swollen with the lightside, sensing an interruption as it pierced the atmosphere wasn't difficult. Light eyes looked upward toward the ceiling of the training room, that was aglow with the projections of the Grandmaster's holocron. She had been consulting it lately in hopes that those of the past could rightly influence the future she was supposed to carve.

A ripple of warning radiated from her core to those within the academy's walls. [member="Talon Vosra"] and his group of merry students had recently campaigned into the wilderness to explore something amiss. Perhaps that had only been a precursor.

The holocron closed on itself and the Jedi rose, lifting her communicator on her wrist to her mouth.

"Air defences, what are you reading out there. Make sure you get landing codes -- and prevent hostilities at all costs." The feeling was indeed treacherous and ominous, but still naggingly familiar. There were too many learners on this planet to engage in anything that could jeopardize them. Long legs and measured strides wove through the temple's cavernous corridors and she was soon saluted by the planet's crisp, fresh air; looking out at the sprawling flora that surrounded the temple's grounds. The docking bays were out of sight.

If you're tagged, you don't have to join. I just know you study at this academy so. Tally ho!

Vulpesen's head popped up as he heard a sharp bark from the cockpit of his Paladin. "On my way, hold on to your tail!" As he finally reached the area, he took a look at Ace who showed him a transmission notice. "Bring it up." A moment later, [member="Kiskla Grayson"]'s message appeared before him. He was a fairly loose member of the Ossus academy, but a member none the less. "I guess its time for me to report in. Captain, set the course." With that, he walked back to his quarters to prepare.

As Vulpesen's ship entered the planet's atmosphere, he caught the strong sense of the darkside, swirling around under him. "Great. Something tells me these guys don't intend to repent." Landing in the Hanger, Vulpesen walked out of the ship, tapping into his comlink. "Master Grayson, you wanted my presence?" Diplomatic or not, these were still sith. With this in mind, Vulpesen had fully armed himself with his Shadow Fox armor.

Standing in her quarters flowing through a basic calisthenics routine the Chiss woman had been spending a great deal of her free time practising all the skills her master had taught her leading to her requiring more time relaxing in meditation to return her to a quiet mental state. Telepathic skills were almost second nature now but she found them very distracting and almost impossible to shut off once she had started using them without meditation. Of course she could simply sit down and meditate but she found it much more relaxing to move through well practiced forms. It kept her muscles moving which on a ship was difficult enough there certainly wasn’t enough room to get a proper exercise routine, there wasn’t anywhere to get a good run in except the hallways and she didn’t want to disturb ship operations and she hadn’t found anywhere to spar on board not that she had anyone to spar with.

The pounding on her door distracting her from her routine the Chiss woman wiped the sweat from her brow with a towel. She hadn’t been stressing herself too hard so she certainly didn’t need to shower before departure. Asylen quickly stripped out of her workout clothing and changed into an all-black formfitting outfit, it was somewhat formal in appearance since this was supposed to be a diplomatic mission.

Stepping out of her small quarters Ashra’syle’nuruodo spotted Crystal down the hallway pounding on another door. She walked at a quick pace to catch up following towards the hanger bay. She had never been on a diplomatic mission but she didn’t anticipate she had much to offer here, so she would remain silent for now. She frankly didn’t even know why she had been brought along.

Cameron arrived in the hangar only a few moments behind [member="Crystal"] and her apprentices. Before stepping aboard the slightly modified AlAT/i, Cameron glanced at the three women. "If you don't have a weapon, you might regret it." Then again...maybe they wouldn't. It definitely depended upon how stupid the inhabitants of Ossus were feeling this particular day.

Actually. Cameron really hoped they'd make a bad decision. Life was always more interesting that way. At any rate, the tide of their future was all but an unstoppable force now.

With no further comment, Cameron stepped aboard the Nemesis. Making his way rhough the small cargo area which has been converted to a manageable training area, the Sith Lord continued past the common room and up to the cockpit. "Gentlemen. Let's go. Standard identification please." There were no landing 'codes' per say, it wasn't a Republic vessel. The best anyone on the ground was going to get was a standard identity interrogation response from the computer that would state 'Moross Crusade, Command Vessel'.

By the time Cameron had returned back down to the common area, the vessel had already departed the Lancer-class Frigate and was hurtling towards the planet's atmosphere.

[member="Kiskla Grayson"]

The landing ramp gave a soft hiss as Vulpesen stepped out, his boots clicking softly against the metal. "I do hope this doesn't end badly."Walking over, he moved into position to meet [member="Cameron Centurion"] once he had landed and exited his ship. As he waited, a blur of fur raced from the ship and scurried up the master, disappearing behind the jedi's cape. The armor would show his willingness to defend his home, but to offset this, he took a simple neutral stance. Preparation for battle did not always mean an expectation or a willingness. This was something he worked to convey,

Crystal grinned. She always had a weapon, with or without her Lightsaber. On this occassion however, she had hers at the small of her back. Her apprentices still carried training sabers, but they could serve their purpose for defense. It was a test for them, as much as the people of Ossus, but they didn't realize it.

She looked at Azlyn, then Asylen before boarding the Nemesis after Cameron. And she continued to the common room to find herself a seat. She gestured for her apprentices to join her and sit. And she addressed them. "Listen. And follow my lead. I've been doing this a very long time and know when to talk and when to act. If you act alone, you will die, because you will be alone in your actions. Do I make myself clear?"

Once more she looked between her apprentices, looking for an affirmative response.

[member="Cameron Centurion"] [member="Ashra'syle'nuruodo"] [member="Azlyn Ike"]

Acknowledging the instructions of her master Ashra'syle'nuruodo touched her training saber on her hip, it was still somewhat unfamiliar but she had been practicing she was somewhat interested in testing those skills but if that was not how this was going to play out that was fine by her. She certainly wasn't going start something here, even if she didn't know why she was here she could play the role of a quiet student for now though if it was a waste of time she would be rather disappointed in her master. As the Sith Sorceress boarded the vessel before them Asylen gestured for the other apprentice to take the lead. She gave the other woman a once over, this was the one that distracted the attention of her master, her primary competition. She boarded the vessel taking one of the seats that were indicated getting comfortable waiting for departure.

Listening to the lecture she felt as if she was being scolded by an old school mistress, she certainly wasn't a child and didn't appreciate being treated as one though she simply nodded affirmative, the Sith woman had a volatile temper and Asylen had no interest in earning a beating of any sort as she had with a chair for simply following instructions. She wasn't afraid of the other woman, just patient, she would get her revenge someday for any mistreatment she received.

Azlyn followed suit with her master and gave a nod of her head to that. She didn't plan on dishonoring her master at this time... Hopefully she never would have to but one wasn't always sure while she stood still and saw her masters other apprentice. A small pinge of jealously came but was quickly taken away at that while the albino stood near and tall to the black haired woman. She turned her head a little and spoke. "Yes my master." This was going to be interesting and she wondered what there was planned or the jedi were going to do in response.

"Standby for now." The Jedi replied to the communication from the Shadow "Keep alert-- I'm corresponding with air command now." After switching communication frequencies from [member="Vulpesen"], her long legs carried her down the steep steps of the temple's mouth.

Once at the bottom, she curled to the left to select a speeder to cross Ossus' surface. Her belova comm activated once more, and her accented voice surfed the air waves. There had been no official alert of something passing through the atmosphere yet, but Kiskla could feel it's impending outreach; and it demanded immediacy. Which was good, because the blonde Kiffar made for a lousy spectator.

"Have your radars picked up the vessel's make? Who are they with?" The airwaves popped with an interrupted noise while she waited for the reply, tilting her head to look up at the blue canopy overhead. She continued to peer at the sky even when an unfamiliar voice relayed from her device.

"Not yet in range, Master."

Her tongue clicked against the roof of her mouth irritably, and she adjusted the weight of her heel to kick down the clutch of the speeder. "Position?"

If they were located directly above the temple, there would be no use in moving. If they were going to touch down on the planet as preferred to the designated hangar, then she'd have to take a speeder.

The response was an echo; "Not yet in position." They followed up with a less than helpful explanation; "-our radars are only detecting a faint presence. It could even be hyperspace traffic passing over."

The irritated click resounded from her tongue again and she considered the implications. She had felt something-- and was still feeling that something. Ominous, treacherous, and yet oddly familiar.

"Keep radars alert, and prepare my personal ship. If something comes through this atmosphere I want to meet it.

It's not touching ground."

"Copy."

Given the distance from the planet with which the Nemesis had launched, it took the Crusade Delegation near twenty minutes to reach low or it over the planet. By the time they were preparing for re-entry interface, Cameron had returned to the flight deck. The radio was buzzing with activity as several Republic assets attempted to establish communication with the vessel. The flight crew responded dutifully informing them they carried only a diplomatic delegation from the Moross Crusade. The Crusade wasn't...exactly an ally of the Republic, but they were far from enemies. In fact, the Republic had aided Crusade efforts in the past and vice versa. There was a flip side to that coin as well...and the reality of their co-existence was one of understanding and the casual propensity to...ignore one another.

If nothing else, it meant Cameron was not worried about being immediately blown out of the sky. "The Temple, gentlemen." The precise planetary coordinates of the edifice were not known to anyone onboard. Cameron, however, knew the general vicinity and directed them that way. Once the re-entry protocol was entered, the flight crew executed it and the Nemesis began streaking through the sky.

Thirty minutes later, the refitted Clone Wars-era vessel raced low and fast over the plains of Ossus. The Temple was clearly visible in the distance by this point, and they'd only managed to get this close off the efforts of Cameron. As a familiar presence rushed through his being, the Sith Lord smiled. "Ah yes. The information was correct. The child is here."

By comparison to other Sith Masters, Crystal was surprisingly laid back. She did not use pain and suffering as her primary method of teaching. In fact, because she'd been teaching her own descendants she had shown a great deal of patience and interest in her students. If they angered her, they learned a lesson. She certainly was not abusing or mistreating her students. They needed to learn their boundaries, as Asylen had. She would not be making that mistake again, now would she?

The other part of this mission, was introducing her students to their competition. There was one other student that they would be competing with soon enough, but that would depend a great deal on the mission at hand. For now, she was fine with the two of them competing with each other. Crystal would of course be monitoring them, and would tolerate no sabotage at this point, or unprovoked attacks. There would be time for that later.

She addressed them. "Good. We will be arriving shortly, and the game begins." The Sith Princess smiled.

Sensing the ship departing for the surface Ashra'syle'nuruodo remained quiet, she still didn't understand why she was here when there was so much training she could be doing back on Exocron but perhaps a little patience would present the answer to her. She listened as [member="Crystal"] established the fact that they would be touching down shortly and tried to mentally prepare herself for anything though with no idea of what they were even doing her she had little hope of actually figuring the purpose of this mission let alone her role making it difficult to prepare any more then she already was.

“I am prepared master.” Asylen replied dutifully.

Azlyn heard the news and mirrored Asylen's answer with a bow of her head. "Yes master." Her senses were reaching out with the force instead of her empathy and her eyes flicked around the room while thinking about her training that she had done. They had gone over the basics of everything and it stuck, that was easy these were jedi and if it went fun she was certain her master wouldn't leave them to die... They would just have to get weapons and fight through. She wasn't wearing armor just white robes to not display her goddess for now. Perhaps later depending and she was mentally prepared to deal with the others that came.

Looks like Kiskla didn't have to actually move to meet anybody, as the immediate visibility of the transport appeared that they were intent of coming to her.

Her body stiffened, and she lifted her communication to her lips once more, passing on a message to the Academy's headmaster [member="Talon Vosra"].

"Keep all students within The Temple."

That was it, and that was enough -- although she didn't wish to alarm anybody unnecessarily; so as a post script, a calming feeling passed from the Grandmaster's core to the immediate grounds of the temple, hopefully touching any curious onlookers who would be keen on intervening. She lifted one leg at a time off the speeder, and moved to the bottom of the steps, taking a few strides forward to distance herself from the architecture while still remaining protective of it. Those were her people in there, and people would have to pass her first to get to them.

Politely, as they would be receiving guests, the girl's hands folded in front of her and she fixated her gaze on the oncoming ship.
The inaugural hostility would not come from her (but that didn't mean there'd be a kettle put on for the visitors)!

The force washed over him in waves of calming tranquility. His emerald eyes were closed as his mind focused on deepening his connection to the force that bound all life together. He slowly put his hands down on the stone floor of his meditation chamber. With legs crossed he pushed himself up with his arms and slowly rotated his body to have his chest parallel to the floor. Heextended his legs and slowly moved his legs and body to face vertically. The force continued to flow through him like electricity through a filament. He pushed up akd slowly lifted one hand as he called on the force to lift objects around the room. Trunk, tunic, comlink, and weapons rack all rose and slowly began rotating around the room. He called further on the force and pushed up to his finger tips. The items began to spin faster and rotate like planets around a sun. He could fell the force flowing like a river filling him with strength and peace.

Then the comlink beeped and he slowed all and let them fall to the floor before collapsing himself. With a heavy sigh he stood and walked to the comlink to check the message. It was Kiskla and it didn't sound good.

He quickly grabbed his tan robes and donned them clipping his comlink to his utility belt near one of his two lightsabers.

He went to the interal comlink on the wall that called the academy security.

"Have all students sent to their rooms and lock the academy down." He said calmly, "no alarms tell them we will have further instructions and there will be extra privileges extended for orderly and speedy execution of the lockdown."

Talon opened the hatch and walked to the turbo lift down and was quickly nearing the academy entrance. As knight from temple security ran to meet him.

"Master Vosra, shall we assemble the instructors and prepare for an assault." The knight asked. They were always ready to fight first. It was a side effect of the years of war.

"No standard emegency procedures." Talon said, "sweep the academy for stragglers and get them to their rooms. Prepare transports for evacuation shuold it be required. Have head instructors organize the knights and advanced padawans to prepare to defend of necessary. We don't know what the situation is. Remind everyone to trust the force and not to give way to emotions. When i leave close the doors behind me. This may yet proove to be nothing."

"Yes Master." The knight said with a slight bow before running to relay the orders.

Talon walked to the entrance and could feel the dark energies of some one strong in the force. He stepped out and slowly the academy doors began closing behind him as he walked down the stairs to stand near the Jedi Grand Master.

Talon didn't speak he just took a position on her left with hands clasped behind his back to leave his two lightsabers visible. His emerald eyes looked at the arrivals and he waited.

Vulpesen walked out hanger to meet the other jedi, signalling for several officers to guard his ship. After exiting the master, the child of Amar leaped onto a speeder and raced out to meet the grand master. Of course, such a trip wouldn't take long. He might have hated flying, but that only made Vulpesen faster as he did his best to get vehicular travel over with.

Once he had arrived to the Grandmaster's location, Vulpesen happily got off the bike and walked over. "So, Moross Crusades just decided to drop in. And by my senses, I'd say we're dealing with several sith. We taking hostile actions?" There was no hope when he spoke of violence. Simply a question. He believed that being prepared for battle did not mean being eager for it as well. If these "diplomats" intended to fight, he'd happily bash them in the face with a chair. If they wished to speak peacefully, he'd offer that same chair as a seat for them. It all depended on their actions and the decision of the woman standing next to him.
