Location: Korriban
Mission: Relic/Knowledge Acquisition
This had been a while in the making. Red Team had fought hard to be allowed to scout this strange planet, as the U.T.N. became more aware of the happenings in the galaxy it had been clear that a threat unlike anything the Thraeda had ever encountered had just been vanquished, the 'Sith Empire'. Little was known about the force, let alone the philosophies and practices that revolved around its use, and Dazzle knew that was a weakness the U.T.N. could not allow to be exploited. Whoever these sith are, they needed to learn about them. Warlords still fought over old imperial territory and rogue sith still roamed the galaxy and any of these could be a threat to the U.T.N. should things go south.

Korriban was a world of great significance to the Sith, a holy world? A place of origin? A tomb world? One or perhaps all of these things were true. Either way, the knowledge that the U.T.N. needed would be here and Dazzle knew it. She had convinced the Captain's Council of it too and finally earned the right to deploy her team to the surface to investigate.

It wasn't a pretty place, brown and dead looking with ancient ruins dotting nearly every square mile of rocky wasteland. Already the team had stopped at a few of these ruins to gain some preliminary data, but it was not their main objective. Instead, they headed for the
Tomb of Darth Vader a powerful although long-dead sith that had played an important part in this galaxy's history. What exactly his part was is still under investigation, but Dazzle figured they could knock out two birds with one stone by investigating that site in particular. She rested on the turret of 'The Little One' a Ursa-class IFV that plowed through the wasteland at remarkable speeds. Usually, she would be inside, but for now, she was firmly attached to the turret through her exo-suits locking limbs to make room for a guest they had brought along with them. C'il C'il Ntoka was an engineer, but tests showed an aptitude or sensitivity to the force was present within her. Most of the RAPTR teams were tested, but no luck, so bringing a civilian was the only real way to begin to cultivate the force within the Thraeda population in hopes of better understanding it and utilizing it in the future. It was Dazzle's idea to bring her along rather than let the people in lab coats keep poking her, who knows what this place will do.. maybe it will awaken something in her? At the very least she's been helpful in keeping their gear in working order and given a few helpful hunches at the other ruins they've stopped at. Hopefully, the rest of Red Team were keeping her company in the cramped transport compartment of 'The Little One'.

Dazzle's eyes would watch as their destination loomed overhead, blocking out the setting sun in their advance. They were almost there.

The 'Force.' An interesting discovery. Her sensitivity to it wasn't something she'd practiced deeply, not that she knew how anyway, though she had noticed its presence. Abnormalities in awareness mostly, somewhat precognitive moments as well. They were minor, but impactful enough to matter. It was a curious thing the 'force' and was irritatingly named. It made talking about it in more solid terms frustrating.

Still, she was interested nevertheless, and was perfectly happy to join when she heard about the potential exploration that could be had. Naturally, she was much better at engineering. But if she had something useful, she might as well ensure it doesn't go to waste. Yet...Koribban had a 'feel' to it. It was more than the sense of unease in a pitch black room, or someone who was just a little off. It felt like feelings. Mostly like fear and anger, and for her, having never seen this place before. Never felt a planet like this before, it was most definitely more the former. But it also felt like power, not something easily described. It just felt stronger than before. Like even the dead were more able than any of the still living. That didn't exactly put her any more at ease. And it felt like the past, like everything that happened was still there, just beneath the surface. That if you just swept away the dust you'd look into the face of some sith. Dead, but still there to meet you. How they might meet you, she wasn't sure. Bit it brought chills with it.

She had brought a datapad with her, and a few other pieces of equipment and tools. Some were just so that she could help with repairs or tune-ups that they might need, others were to try and help her record what they would come across. She smiled, somewhat nervously, about the current situation, speaking up as they drew closer, "Not gonna lie, I'm definitely curious but there's just a bit of fear involved, I think it's more than just that it's a new planet though." She admitted. Just a bit, was a little bit of an understatement. But she wasn't willing to back down now. And in spite of the fear, she felt pressed to keep searching. To learn what it was that made the 'force' so special and find out what they could learn from it and how it could help the others.

She wasn't here. Kyyrk still didn't know who "She" was, persay. But the vision had been clear. A Sith of immense power was...important to him. In what way, he did not know. But here, in the tomb dedicated to her honor, there was nothing. Kyyrk's arms still ached against the effort of pushing the stone slab off the sarcophagus. But it was empty. Had she even been here in the first place? He stood in the center of the circular room, looking around at the other sarcophagi. There were inscriptions above each, in a rune that made little sense to him. But the Force guided his mind to their meaning. They were names. He could see now, focusing his mind's eye, that they all laid empty. The names were in honor of those symbolized to be buried there.

This much he knew, for he recognized two. He lingered a moment over one of the sarcophagi, hand resting near where the head should lay. "Cortrin," was the name assigned to this one. And though Kyyrk could not remember Cortrin of his own right, he knew who it was. His son. It pained him that he could not remember his son, nor would he ever be able to rebuild those memories. But he knew that he loved his son. The faint echoes of a lightsaber rung in his mind. He could faintly smell seared flesh, and burning metal. It had to be done. He felt no anger for his son's actions. How could he? He had told Cortrin to do it. No, the only emotion Kyyrk could muster was a sense of pride. Pride and hope that his son had lived a long and successful life after his...departure.

The other name in the room filled him with a sense of...unease. There was something...disconcerting about staring at the proof of one's own finality. Perhaps that was the corruption oozing from the planet's very core affecting him. But the more he stared at the runes above the sarcophagus meant for him, the more he wondered when the end would truly arrive. He'd had numerous visions of his own demise, and only one of them had proven correct so far. Well...half correct. The Half-Death had been reversed, and now he was free to walk the galaxy once again. This time with more questions than he could ever hope to have answers. <<Someone's coming.>>

Kyyrk was rousted from his memories at this. The voice of his feathered companion echoed in his mind, alerting him to the tank that was arriving. Kyyrk donned his helmet, and hurried out of the tomb, slowing near the entrance to maintain the element of surprise. The Sith Empire was gone, but that didn't mean its adherents were any less zealous. His eyes glanced to the tank, then to the hull of his ship, The Allegiance, sitting nearby. He crouched behind a rock, watching the tank across the small clearing. They weren't traveling to this tomb, that much was for sure. The presence of his ship would alert them to someone else being nearby. But they didn't have to know EXACTLY where. Not yet...

As she lounged on the hull of the tank, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings she couldn't help but notice the ship, seemingly abandoned near one of the ruins. Of course, it was doubtful that it had been abandoned as it was probably someone just as curious as they were about this world. Speaking in Thraedar, the language of her people, she'd call over coms to the driver to change course to investigate the ship. After all, she and the U.T.N. in large was curious how different the technology of this galaxy was compared to what they were used to. A second later the vehicle would turn and begin barreling towards the ship.

Inside as the crew shifted slightly at the change in direction, Firefight, one of Red Team's members currently within the transport compartment of 'The Little One' would grin at C'il C'il "I think you're feeling what we all are right now.". He'd put his helmet on, flashy orange and red flames covering his armor as if he was planning on entering a high-speed race "Looks like we have another detour, boss's orders. Looks like there's a ship and I assume we'll want your engineering degree to try to figure out how it works." he'd muse as he began to check his gear with the other members of Red Team, assuring their suits and weaponry were fully functional encase they ran into someone..

As the tank would come to a slow grinding halt a few hundred feet away from the ship the drawbridge like door would lower, exposing the insides of the tank as Red Team would file out and Dazzle would hop off the turret, which would rotate towards the vehicle should there be any problem. They'd take a minute to get their bearings, checking around the surrounding area before beginning to make their way towards the ship. Perhaps they could take it? After all, flying was probably faster than driving and who knows what intel this could give the higher-ups.

Dazzle would hold her fist out before opening it up, a signal the team would interpret and begin to circle the ship as she and firefight approached the entrance to the ship, currently unaware that they're being watched.

C'il noticed the change of course in the vehicle as she heard Firefight respond. Yeah, probably he was right. She watched him put on his helmet referencing the change of direction and likely the need of her engineering expertise in the matter. She nodded checking her tools readiness and her limbs one more time, something she'd done many times already before she'd even left the main ship.

She clenched the handle of the tool-box as they came to a halt and she took in a breath as the door opened. She kept behind them but followed, a datapad scanner in her hands, pretty much a necessity given the circumstances. Running a range of information to her, life forms, droids, comms, structures, radiation, energy readings, anything it could pick up. Some more in depth looks would be done when they got closer, but this helped get a head start on it all.

She rather wanted them to go faster, but on the other hand she didn't want to be reckless. She'd let them do what they were doing unless something came up on the scanner that would tell her otherwise, or if she were to sense something that would suggest otherwise. And recognize it. Danger was one of the things that she was most commonly able to realize before she should, but the certainty of its presence was not %100.

The ship had drawn their attention, as Kyyrk expected it would. He watched from his hiding spot behind the tall rock, observing as the tank drew near to his ship, and several soldiers disembarked. None of them were familiar to him. Nor was the tank. He found it strange that such a thing was on treads, not using Repulsor lift technology. But, everyone was entitled to their quirks. He hummed to himself quietly as he considered his options. He could take it down if he needed to. But he hoped he didn't have to. They began to circle his ship, leading Kyyrk to wonder if they were here for him after all.

Kyyrk's gaze turned back to the tank as another figure departed. This one carrying a scanner. His brow furrowed in confusion for a moment, as he realized he could feel this person much easier than the others. If she was Force Sensitive, why would she need a scanner? Ah, but of course. She must be untrained. If she was traveling with these strange people, she must be one of them. Likely people that considered the Force to be pure dumb luck, or "instinct."

Either way, the scanner would reveal his location soon enough. It was time for action. Kyyrk pushed himself to his feet, and slowly strode out into the opening. The soldiers were still focused on the ship. They were paying him no mind. The thought occurred to Kyyrk that they probably didn't speak basic. At least, he wasn't able to understand what they were saying from so far away. As he allowed himself to become immersed in the Force, he realized that they didn't fit the signature of any species he'd ever met before.

How fitting that the leader of the Octarchy be the first to make contact with a new race...

He came to a stop some fifty yards from the ship and the people investigating. They likely weren't Sith. But he still wanted to test that theory. And if they were, what better way to blend in? "Kam satchi j'us âti ri tsûduma?" The native tongue of the planet upon which he stood rang out, amplified by the Force so he could be clearly heard. His hands spread away from his body, low and with fingers splayed to show empty hands. He was not a threat to them. Not yet. But he also wasn't keen on the idea of them ripping his ship apart. The armored titan's mind reached out to the metal cylinder on his back, mentally preparing to spring into action should the soldiers fail to see reason...
