- BOOM: The AT-MAP is capable of equipping a variety of different ordinance launchers, such as plasma cannons, mass-driver cannons and missile batteries.
- Long range: The AT-MAP is designed to engage targets at great distances, allowing the vehicle to rain destruction onto the battlefield from afar.
- Relatively lightweight: Compared to vehicles such as the Mobile Artillery Walker, the AT-MAP is slightly smaller and far less heavy, allowing it to be transported more easily across the battlefield.
- Relatively cheap: Being less advanced that the Mobile Artillery Walker, the AT-MAP is correspondingly less expensive to produce and maintain.
- Capacity: The AT-MAP can store a decent number of physical projectiles within its armored hull.
- Droid brain: The AT-MAP is fully controlled by its integrated droid brain, only requiring external assistance when refilling the vehicle's ammunition. This saves on the vehicle's crew requirement and weight.
- No secondary armament: To save on credits and weight, the AT-MAP does not possess any secondary armament and must rely on other forces to protect it during battle, though it does possess a small number of smoke grenade launchers.
- Lightly armored: The AT-MAP is relatively fragile and should not engage in any sort of frontline combat.
- Slow: Much like the Mobile Artillery Walker, the AT-MAP is a rather slow moving vehicle, though it is slightly faster than the Mobile Artillery Walker, clocking in at a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour.
- Stationary: The AT-MAP cannot move and fire at the same time.
- Basic: The AT-MAP lacks many of the special features found on the Mobile Artillery Walker, being the "budget" version of the vehicle.
- Droid Brain: Movement, aiming, firing and reloading of the vehicle is all performed by the integrated droid brain, bringing all the weaknesses of such a system with it.
One of the few indigenous designs produced by the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, the All Terrain Modular Artillery Platform, or AT-MAP, is not entirely without inspiration. Loosely based upon the design of the AT-AA, the AT-MAP has been selected as a sister vehicle for N&Z Umbrella Corporation's Mobile Artillery Walker. The AT-MAP offers a number of advantages and disadvantages when compared with the previous iteration of design.
The AT-MAP was designed to be as light and as small as possible for a vehicle of its role, while still retaining the necessary bulk needed to ensure that the vehicle was capable of carrying heavy ordinance. Compared to the Mobile Artillery Walker, the AT-MAP weights far less, allowing it to be transported across the battlefield more easily. The AT-MAP is also somewhat modular, being able to select three different weapons depending on its mission.
This, however, comes at a cost, as the AT-MAP is less heavily armored than its predecessor, while lacking any sort of secondary armament to defend itself from attack. The AT-MAP must rely on its smoke grenade launchers and friendly forces to keep it safe from attack, though such a weapon's platform should not be engaging in close quarters combat anyway.
The AT-MAP is also significantly cheaper than the Mobile Artillery Walker while also being far less advanced, losing access to many of the special systems and capabilities seen on its predecessor. The AT-MAP represents a good compromise between weight, power, and cost, and makes a fine addition to any military force, regardless of size or budget.
