STRENGTHS
- Dogfighter: The TIE Prosecutor is a superb dogfighter thanks to its high speed and excellent agility, able to outmaneuver almost any other starfighter it encounters.
- Tiny: The TIE Prosecutor is a fairly small and compact starfighter that is difficult to hit with unguided weapons.
- Winged: X-shaped wings give the TIE Prosecutor decent lift and maintains great maneuverability in atmospheres.
- Mothership Needed: Lacking a hyperdrive, Prosecutor squadrons are reliant on larger carrier craft or a dedicated hyperspace ring to transport them into distant battles.
- Find Someone Your Own Size: The TIE Prosecutor is equipped primarily with anti-starfighter weapons and is unable to threaten capital ships or large bombers except in extremely high numbers.
- Low Endurance: TIE Prosecutors can only store enough fuel for around three hours of flight before they must refuel.
The latest contribution by Alge Imperial Shipyards Incorporated to the TIE line of starfighters, the TIE/pr Prosecutor is the first AISI TIE to be truly mass-produced. Lacking a hyperdrive, large power generators, afterburners, or even solar panels, the TIE/pr is exceedingly cheap to produce in exchange for having the least firepower and lowest endurance of any Alge Imperial TIE models. Small and lightly built, the TIE/pr relies on its supreme agility rather than its modest shields and hull to stay in a fight. Highly maneuverable in both space and atmosphere, TIE Prosecutors are great at exploiting the blind spots of enemy starfighters to secure an easy kill.
The impetus for the TIE Prosecutor was a secretive and highly profitable contract from deep within the galactic core for enough starfighters to supply an entire navy at quick notice. Seeing the potential for an enormous payday, AISI's Board of Directors wasted little time accepting, producing a fleet of hundreds of thousands of TIE Prosecutors for their client.
