OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Aikstus Ra
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins:
    • Developed by Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean & AMCO AMCO at The Harper Center on Barbatos after prolonged discussion into the matter of spy networks - and the most effective way to infiltrate foreign military structures and oppositional company hierarchy. Based on genetic information from Project I71A collected during the invasion of Atrisia. A proof of concept was performed on [Redacted] with resounding success before it was released into the wild.
  • Average Lifespan: 5 Galactic Standard Years
  • Estimated Population: Scattered
  • Description:
    • On the surface, the Aikstus Ra is nothing odd - though they are very familiar. Taking the form, mannerisms, and often even the personality of those they infect - they replace the DNA of their selected host not unlike a regular retrovirus; but this one has a special caveat. When it has fully transformed a subject, it is susceptible to fire and plasma - and while it still bleeds, it also boils in the heat. When exposed to flames, it will violently return to its most primal form - a disgusting mass of flesh and bone that seeks nothing but its self-preservation; often at the cost of those around it.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I │ Type II │ Type III
  • Average Height of Adults: Varies on Host
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color:
    • Hidden: Varies on Host
    • Exposed: Muddled grey mixed with fleshy maroon.
  • Hair color: Varies on Host
  • Distinctions:
    • The Aikstuts Ra is a hive mind retrovirus that finds and assimilates hosts at an accelerated rate - but spreads between hosts at a slower, more targeted approach than traditional retrovirus. Once a host has been assimilated, it will use existing memories, personality traits, quarks, and other recognizable features to mimic the essence of its once host - eventually succumbing to death's cold embrace through natural means. Yet even in death, they are not always recognizable.

Able to pass standard physicals without setting off any alarms, they are externally the exact same as their host once was. It is only when the skin is broken are they identified for who they are - but only in certain circumstances. If one was to be simply cut, they would bleed like a normal person of that species might, but if they are cut open for surgery a doctor might notice just how different they truly are. Yet, there is one surefire way to break this thespian ruse - and that is fire. More specifically, the heat of a high magnitude can cause any organic material from an Aikstus Ra to squirm and squeal - revealing its true nature, and often the very true form of the creature itself.

Large and grotesque, the true form of the Aikstus is little more than an avatar of gore. With bones twisted to form blades, meat flayed open to the air, and an unholy groan emanating from the gross remains of their gullet; the Aikstus Ra's true form is arguably as horrifying as its ability to conceal itself. However, this traditional form is susceptible to all forms of damage and is especially weak to fire - so while it can be used as an assassin in very specific situations, it is more often left to its original goal of spying.

In spying, it does far better than in combat. Since it can mimic people with high fidelity, it can spy on private dealings, meetings, and plans with impunity for long periods of time without anyone the wiser. Genetically made with the intention to never break concealment, they can spend years in a position before passing away - and all of it is telepathically sent back to the host; the progenitor Aikstus Ra who exists in a secluded location far from the rest of the others.

This Aikstus Ra Prime is a tortured thing, bound in containment and sealed deep beneath the planet it is on never to see the light of day; but in its skin lies the key to a great library of information Darth Maliphant has used for years. The Chained Tome, and through it the Prime is able to upload what it sees through its thousand eyes instantly; all for Maliphant's perusal, giving him a spy network that spans the Galaxy and perpetrates itself.
  • Races:
    • N/A
  • Force Sensitivity:
    • All
Strengths:
  • A Thousand Eyes -
    • With its ability to transfer its sensory information and memory to its host, the Aikstus Ra serve their single purpose as the ultimate sithspawn for spying and spying accessories. A thousand and more eyes across the galaxy all sending their information back to a host as only a Hive Mind can allows it to steal an almost astonishing amount of information on a constant basis - with little one has to do to actually manage the species as a whole.
  • Thespian Mimicry -
    • Able to utilize existing personalities and traits, the Aikstus Ra can exist indefinitely behind enemy lines so long as conditions are right. With most being unable to see past their disguise, even with the Force, there is little one can do to stop them without heavy security measures and blood tests to ensure all operating personnel are of the proper species.
Weaknesses:
  • Stay Out of the Kitchen -
    • While most species can handle the occasional burn, the Aikstus Ra are especially susceptible to burns and heat. Faced with a lightsaber, actual fire, or any means to breach the skin - they will bubble and burst before the very eyes before becoming their 'true' hideous form. Just seeing one can upset many people, but more than that it can destroy any semblance of Cognito the Aikstus Ra might have had before.
  • Combat Unviable -
    • Sith spawn are often known for their combat prowess, but the Aikstus Ra would likely only be effective against the untrained. With 'blades' made of bone and an intimidating look, they are limited to killing unarmed personnel - but facing anyone armed or armored would likely spell their doom. They are not built as assassination sith spawn, and do not work like that at all.
  • The Light -
    • As most sith spawn are, the Aikstus Ra are very susceptible to the effects of Force Light - burning away in it regardless of intent. This effect means that even passive uses of the ability will have whatever agents are in the area killed - and a very obvious ash pile left behind to prove they were there. As well, Force Nullifications fields do stop them from transmitting information, however once free of it they will send all prior memories or messages.
CULTURE
  • Diet:
    • Omnivore w/ Heavy Carnivore Tendencies
  • Communication:
    • Varies on Host w/ Telepathic Connection to Prime
  • Technology level:
    • Varies on Host (Galactic Standard)
  • Religion/Beliefs:
    • N/A
  • General behavior:
    • Often, their behavior is solely the result of their host. From their quirks and behaviors to their ticks and jokes - there is nothing they do not inherit from those they take over; though with a slightly unnerving need for meat. This is exactly what their purpose is, and because of it they often do not carry their own personality; nor should they, as it could influence their behind enemy line operations adversely. Even the Prime can not be considered to have a 'personality', but they do carry a large amount of intelligence.

When able, the Aikstus Ra will find ways around exposing themselves to their infiltrated organization - be it avoiding medical checkups, not volunteering for blood tests, or even avoiding areas where a lightsaber knick might spell their doom. However, they also have a strong sense of risk calculations and know what information is important versus unimportant. With that in mind, they search for things that are highly confidential to send back to the Prime - but also use it to find new hosts.

In finding new hosts, The Unseen generally look for high ranking officials, or otherwise imposing figures that could help them collect information that would be of interest to the relevant parties. In this, they often only replicate when it makes sense - either as a means to protect themselves on small abandoned artic research facilities, or when they are given the opportunity to do so without risking exposure. All considered, their intelligence becomes one of their greatest assets.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

After Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean ‘s unfortunate escapades on Atrisia during its invasion by Mythos and his Blackwing cohorts - Maliphant saw an opportunity to use the Blackwing virus as a means to expand his own influence without so much of the public ‘poetry’ of the walking dead with a knack for the philosophical nature of death. In this, he decided to alter the disease to be less about mass assimilation, and more about strategic influence behind closed doors.
Going to The Harper Center, Darth Maliphant began research first by multiplying the disease in controlled enviroments - then taking samples, and manipulating it to his own needs. Generation after generation ended as failures more often than not - but progress was made slowly until a wall was hit. The disease, while practical in its ability to take over a host and remain hidden, would have the subject go feral in only a few short hours after total conversion.
Finding himself in a bind despite all his non organic alchemic knowledge, Maliphant looked for the help of AMCO AMCO - who helped Maliphant adjust his process to something more sustainable. After a further twenty generations, and the assistance of Cybele to map the genome, the two Sith Lords created the first full Aikstus Ra - there by called the Prime.
The Prime, while nothing spectacular in itself, was a powerful telepath who could speak to those around it - but what it said was often dark, driving the weak willed insane easily. Losing multiple scientists and alchemists in his pursuit, Maliphant decided it only reasonable to bind the creature in shackles deep beneath the planet of Barbatos - so the nexus on the planet would obscure the beasts terrible aura, then hired only epicanthicc beings to monitor and keep it alive.
Once secured, Maliphant cut samples from the beast and moved to change it to self replicate without nearly as much ‘eldritch ramblings of unknown truths’. This was where the Unseen truly exploded in potential - and the Prime became the many in only a fortnight. This sample disease was spread out among Blackwell Industries, one of Jaeger’s own subsidiaries, to see just how effective it was.
With all its information confirmed, and only a few of the Blackwell executives killed, they moved to store the information permanently. In this, the Chained Tome was given an uplink to the Aikstus Ra Prime so it could upload its entire sentience into it constantly. This effectively allowed Maliphant, and all those he allowed, to use a massive spy network that expanded on its own, and could transfer its information telepathically across the galaxy.
Now, it is only a matter of time before the self perpetuating sith spawn have their fingers in most major governments, corporations, and only Maliphant knows what else.

Thank you for your patience. I just have a few things to address in this submission:

Force Sensitivity | Per the Species Creation Rules, Completely Force-sensitive species "should include appropriate weaknesses". Perhaps, because they're Sithspawn, they're susceptible to Light Side abilities or maybe Force Null fields do effect them, should they ever encounter one. Please add a few weaknesses to account for their innate Force sensitivity.
History | Here you state "After a further twenty generations, and the assistance of Cybele to map the genome, the two Sith Lords created the first full Aikstus Ra - there by called the Prime" Would you mind explaining who Cybele is here? Or, if there is an NPC submission, please link it.
