Kyra Perl
Coalescence
The week Caedyn Arenais had given Kyra off had turned to two. As it turned out, he was right in assuming Kyra needed the time to heal. It wasn't his fault he couldn't foresee what Kyra would do with it. Kyra didn't know herself until halfway through hyperdrive towards her mum's.
It was easy to feel a sense of dread over your head when your mistakes were left unresolved. Being retrieved from the sith cult with Acaadi had saved both their lives, and the lives of many other children. But she had seen what happened to those that had proven useless to the sith lord. Those children were still out there, somewhere, and she had found it a hard task to sleep until she finished what she started and got them back.
It felt good to see the mission through, even if she was going off books and risking it all. It didn't surpass her that if it hadn't been for Loske Treicolt , she might not be returning at all. But that was a semantic she didn't entertain. The Force had its ways, right? She wouldn't have died. Healing from things came differently for everyone. For Kyra, a bit of friendship and resolution had been all it had taken to bring clarity back into her life on Silver rest.
Oh Feck, was she gonna be in trouble when she got back. The sense of absolution slowly shifted to gut churning dread as she approached the planet. She didn't need the slight tinges in the Force to warn her of her would be waiting. She hadn't thought about her would be Master the whole time she was away, a concept which now left her panicked. Oh crap. Oh crap, oh crap. Wait. Crap. She had done the tunnel vision thing again. Crap.
Oh she was in for it.
The ship set down at Silver Landing far too soon. Kyra debated hiding herself under the floor panels. Or trying to sneak out the wheel hatch. But there would be no hiding from the Master she had left behind. Her arrival was reported, and she...
Oh, she was toast.
