SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy:
    1. Commissioner: The top of the hierarchy of the organization. The declaration of the Commissioner is absolute however nearly all operational duties for day to day activities are delegated.
    2. Captain: The management of the organization and occupied by a few devout and capable members who have earned the trust of the Commissioner. Captains organize the bulk of the large scale operations of the organization for day to day activities such as approving Inspection Cordons and delivering reports to the Commissioner.
    3. Inspector: Supervisors of the organization and made up of a core of veteran Constables. They are responsible for organizing and carrying out investigations within the Inspection Cordon.
    4. Constable: Rank-and-file of the organization. Disciplined investigators and, if need be, enforcers. Evidence collection and processing duties are carried out by these trained individuals. Often these, along with Constable Cadets, are the most visible members of the organization as they uphold the integrity of the Inspection Cordon and interact with the general public.
    5. Constable Cadet: Prospective new members of the organization. Their duties are limited to attending training seminars and providing physical security to the Inspection Cordon zone.
  • Membership: Approximately 400 of various species (although most are Human) make up the organization. Initiation into the organization requires several weeks as a Constable Cadet during which time a multitude of training seminars will weed out those who do not have the dedication required to preform the organization's primary goals. These seminars give introductions to not only the group ideology but also on the proper procedures of evidence collection, analysis, interrogation, and self defense. During these seminars the Constable Cadets will be routinely observed by designated Inspectors who keep a watchful eye on the cadets for signs of treachery or insufficiencies.
  • Climate: During the Constable Cadet phase of membership the organization is cold and very strict, however, once elevated to the station of Constable the organization takes on a new character. It is a welcoming, though highly disciplined, culture with emphasis on merit.
  • Reputation: Due to the exacting and tenacious manner the organization goes about exposing criminal activity in regards anyone caught in one of their infamous Inspection Cordons they inspire fear in many ordinary people. Their steely public presence, well drilled interrogative shakedowns, and speed in pursuing evidence has put them at odds with many locals in quite a few locations. Given that many members are licensed in several locales as bounty hunters in order to act on the uncovered misdeeds this has given the organization a defaulting hostile reputation with criminal organizations of all sizes.
  • Curios: Uniforms are given when members have been promoted to Constable. These consist of a grey beret and double-breasted coat in addition to black pants and boots. A duty belt that holds a blaster pistol holster, restraints, commlink, and a baton are standard issue. A pin, bearing the organization's symbol, which is placed over the right pectoral of the uniform coat is provided with the other elements of the uniform. These pins are made only when a Constable Cadet has become a Constable, and are inscribe with the member's name and membership ID number on the back.
  • Rules: The rules of the organization are based off of Sssar Taszzn's ideals: Law & Order are paramount. Corruption and criminal activity must been exposed at all levels of society in order to maintain integrity. To this end the organization requires unwavering loyalty and compliance from its members. Regulations are passed down from the Commissioner and often reflect the current laws of the Galactic Alliance. The way members of the organization treat these regulations are most similar to a religious adherence.
  • Goals: To investigate, expose, and pursue corruption at all levels of society but especially in the realm of political authorities within the Galactic Alliance. Ever striving towards a pure society the Abiding Precept Constabulary will plunge the depths of schemes and intrigue that have plagued the Galactic Alliance from treasonous planetary governors, vigilante defense forces, subversive cults, renegade Force users, organized crime, and complicit leaders.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Senator Sssar Taszzn in 687 ABY formed the Abiding Precept Constabulary after Byss governor Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen turned towards treason against the Galactic Alliance and vigilante (in Sssar's opinion) action by other member planet defense forces began a skirmish until it was settled by the intervention of the Alliance's armed forces and the prompt diplomatic negotiations from the Vice Chancellor Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe . Afterwards Sssar Taszzn met with several Senators and sympathetic individuals to discuss a mission to uncover more information about the tampering of Brotherhood of the Maw Aligned cults within Galactic Alliance space. The mere existence of such groups disgusted and disturbed Sssar to a great degree. Later an attempted assassination of a Senator in the hallowed halls of the Senate Chamber of the Federal Assembly was the final affront. The second of such attempts to the Senator's knowledge. With the destruction of Csilla the Senator had taken to the holonet to reassure the people of the Alliance, and now they witnessed an attack at the very heart of the civilization. When Senator Taszzn called for unity and defiance of Fear he turned to a trusted face in the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor only to see an empty podium.

It was at this moment that Sssar's faith in the Alliance's ability to coordinate itself against these threats dropped away. Behind the thin venire of safety and security of the Alliance was a civilization confronting the real possibility of annihilation by planet killing weaponry, savage Sith cults, renegade Jedi crusaders, and an ever expanding ancient foe. If there was something to be done he would see to it himself at the very least. Traveling back to his home, Eclipse, he began devising an organization around his school of thought.

A civilization could not exist without, and without adherence to, laws. Equal application and intense enforcement of these laws were critical to the virtue of Order. Disorder was born of corruption and contempt for the laws of order. It would be the duty of this new organization to hold Law & Order as an absolute. Deviation would not be permitted and the age of crusades and extermination he would wage one against Corruption & Disorder.

Sssar would first recruit from disillusioned police from Coruscant's lower levels and then from those who showed an interest in the Galactic Alliance's Strategic Information Agency and Alliance Marshals. He used this framework to quickly expand the numbers of the organization as there were many who had experienced the Disorder the Senator had declared to be the prime antagonist to a more perfect society, and while they may not have been fit (in either capabilities or education) for the Galactic Alliance's enforcement and intelligence services he would use their eagerness to indoctrinate them. They would be his agents of Law and defenders of Order.

In order to keep the scope of the organization's operations concise one of Sssar's first actions as Commissioner of the Abiding Precept Constabulary was to create and mandate the formation of Inspection Cordons. These would be zones, normally many buildings that would consist of a more traditional "block", in which the agents of his organization would descend in a raid like fashion. Interrogating any within the zone, using Bounty Hunting provisions to enter homes and preform swift shakedowns of whole dwellings and their occupants. Any incriminating evidence whether it be words, objects, transmissions, or audio/visual recordings would be immediately seized , documented, and/or recorded. Those unfortunate enough to be in the midst of a criminal activity, no matter how minor, would be detained by the Abiding Precept Constabulary and transported to the nearest appropriate enforcement agency or the bounty lister. Information obtained from the Inspection Zone would be used to create further leads which began to show connections to other locations. These discovered locations often would become, if determined sufficiently corrupt, would be the site of new Inspection Zones where again dozens to hundreds of Constables and Inspectors would descend. Information that was not acted on by local law enforcement or appropriate authorities would be listed and boosted by the holonet team of the organization. To shame those who had dared transgress. These public displays are partially why the organization has such an outsized reputation for the areas actually visited by them.
