A Wild Flower (Solan Charr)

The way [member="Solan Charr"] described it made Morgana think i might have been true. Maybe they did meet and neither knew each other, she may have been too young after all. But still knowing that he was once part of the Republic and knew most of the Jedi was another piece of relieving information. At the very least she now started to feel a decent connection with the man.
She did question "What interests?"

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

"Obsession with history, Talent with inventing. That kind of stuff and even just colors you like. Sometimes such likes are passed on by one's nurture so it makes me curious of they were passed onto you." He tapped his hands. "Or do you like other things she does not?" He was making idle conversation over things that were in no way remotely important. It was to pass time and enjoy something that was nothing more than a simple meeting. "Oh, and what brought you to Kesh, i apologize if you already told me but i am extremely curious why you picked my planet of all places."

With a shrug Morgana answered "I've never really had much in common with her, outside of maybe like art or poetry. Truth be told I didn't really fit in with a lot of people. I mean look at me. I don't exactly look like the Jedi type, do I?" she indicated that by pointing out her crimson jacket, black pant and boots and other punk-rock like attire, and then her hair which was dyed red and black. "This isn't even my original color. I have brown hair. I'm more...free spirited. I guess you can say." After that she answered "Well for one I came here just to try and get away from the Jedi for a bit. But also I wanted to see this garden. I heard it was one of the best sights to see on Kesh. Especially that one." she pointed over to the flower she'd been gawking at before. "You grow that?"
[member="Solan Charr"]

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

He looked over at the flower and smiled as he sat there, looking it over for a few moments before shaking his head and speaking. "No, that was a flower a friend of mine had grown with the power of Plant Surge that i taught her... It was a good meeting and she left a bit quickly." He paused, noticing something in what she said and blinking as he looked up, thinking. "Brown hair you say? I must say that is surprising to hear considering who your aunt is. I had thought your black hair was natural." He laughed internally, as he grinned, still thinking he had a clue as to who this one's mother was. "Also, considering some of the 'jedi' ive met, you kind of are the middle ground... trust me when i say that."

Still talking about her hair Morgana reached up and twiddled with a strand between her fingers, saying "Yeah. I think I get it from my dad's side. Or my mom's...whichever." After that she was glad to hear from [member="Solan Charr"] that her behavior wasn't as drastic as she thought. At least the Jedi hadn't kicked her out or anything yet. Besides it wasn't as though she hated them, just wished they weren't so constraining at times. And then final came the question "Plant surge?"

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

Solan smiled as he clapped his hands, more than happy to demonstrate the planet and looking over at the garden again. "Hmm, ok, how about i show you a bit of a display with it?" He smiled and stood up slowly, his feet walking out to the garden itself and looking among the plants for weeds and flowers that were not handling so well and when he found one he was happy to wave her over. It was almost like he was giddy to show her the power, he loved to share knowledge and he couldn't help himself when there was a chance to do it. "Here, come watch."

Morgana was a little surprised to see how excited [member="Solan Charr"] was at the prospect of demonstrating to her how the 'plant surge' worked. She gave a little smile, though behind it was a feeling of awkwardness. She stood and followed before kneeling next to him as he told her to come and watch. Clearly he was passionate about it which, in truth, made sense. After all it was he who grew this garden in the first place. Perhaps because of the plant surge ability itself.

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

"Now, you see..." He began off as he smiled and glanced at her while sitting on his knees. His hands moved to be placed on the ground and he closed his eyes. "The plants like us are living, they need energy and speeding up their growth requires the application of more energy through them. Go to fast though... and you risk killing them. There are advanced techniques that you can grow something at a rate beyond ever being considered natural, but in doing so you are feeding it your energy, your life force. You could very well kill yourself or cause internal harm in pushing your own energies too strongly... its a bit different how i normally talk about this but im willing to guess you aren't one with significant training in the force. Are you?"

Morgana watched as [member="Solan Charr"] placed his hand on the ground before going into how the planet surge worked. It made sense the more she thought about it, being that plants were alive and needed to be fed by the force like anything else that lived. Though when he mentioned how it could be harmful she did become a little nervous. When he asked she had to admit "Actually...no. I'm not exactly in any advanced classes right now. I'm still going through basics."

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

"Then i will just show you and explain today. But please keep in mind never to attempt this on your own, it can harm you if you don't take the precautions... if ever you think you are ready though, feel free to return to Kesh and come to the palace. I will gladly sit down and show you how the power is used, and do use the doors this time. I swear i should just remove them if people are going to be so secretive about getting into my home." Another joke, another smile, and then it became cold. Solan was a darksider after all and while what he used did not contaminate the area it was clear he was not using the lightside in any sense of the word. He had to be careful in using Plant Surge like he was, it could corrupt or harm the plant if he was not and slowly that cold feeling would go down Morgana's back as Solan focused on his energies.

"First, you connect to the plant, my own abilities make it much harder because of my connection to the force, as the Darkside corrupts if you are not careful with it and that could outright kill the plant. No you must be gentle with its application, careful. Do not mistake this for slow though, go at the speed that feels... natural. That the plant wants to go at. Does that make sense?" He looked over his shoulder at her, and while his aura was dark as a void, his smile remained and his amber corrupted eyes shone with a certain... joy. "Hmm?"

Only watching again Morgana would feel as that little cold feeling went down her spine. She shivered it off while feeling the force extend from [member="Solan Charr"] to the ground. It was true he was already making connection with the ground and the plants around them. She sensed it as if his fingers created their own little roots of pure force that met with the natural roots of the plants. When he asked if any of it made sense she nodded a little, having a decent understanding for the most part. He hand had found its way onto the ground but she did not act yet. She waited for the sake of hearing any further instructions.

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

"Now you feed it, your own life energy would be illadvisable but in a pinch it is the best you have on you use it. But for all other times, look to the force and look to its abilities in protecting others and inspiring life. Yes, i know it sounds lightsided, especially considering the Jedi teach you the same thing no? Well here is the thing, light and dark, they are the same coin, just different roots. My point is, every force power operates on base power and the user's power. And what better source than your emotions. For you it would be compassion, love, kindness, selflessness. Things a Jedi should revere and follow without hesitation. Any questions?"

While Morgana heard [member="Solan Charr"] speak of how light and dark were of the same coin she was less than reluctant to try and fall into the darkside. A promise had been made long ago that she would never go down that path no matter what. Something of a reason why she'd never left the Jedi despite how often they would annoy her with their rules and the like. Even though she wasn't the typical sort of Jedi she still was one at heart.
After that she shook her head when asking questions. She understood, she just hoped things wouldn't go wrong. She took a deep breath before closing her eyes. Her hand still on the ground as she tried to focus and feed energy into the plants. She could feel something at first. A light but growing connection with the roots underground. From there it was a matter of feeding the plant with enough energy to make it fully bloom. She could feel a connection, as if the plant was an extension of herself.
"I...I think it's working." she said, feeling the stems start to grow and the petals bloom.

He himself stopped as she began, smiling and watching her try as his hands left the ground and watched her. "Good, stay focused though, a stray thought can be just as dangerous to the plant as a bullet to the heart is to you and me. It depends on your concentration now until you slow your energy output and let natural processes take back over. I know its not the easiest thing to understand, things are hard at times when it comes to things like that." He watched her as she worked on the plant and returned a hand to the ground, deciding to practice while he had the chance with a slightly more expansive use of it. His eyes closed and his sight took over as he looked at the flows of the force and slowly began to connect his aura to all things that were living around him and looking into the ground at the maze of roots.

Just as [member="Solan Charr"] had told her to stay where she was something felt wrong. Morgana felt herself slipping. Her focus was starting to waver. She told hi something was wrong before she began to give disagreable noises. It was starting to effect her connection with the plant as well. She was pouring too much in without realizing. The flower began to grow faster than she realized to the point where it was almost unnatrual. She was too connected to pull her hand away but it was clear she was in pain because of her still held tight connection with the plant. Her free hand gripped her forehead as she tried to calm herself, no sign of it actully working.

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

He caught the distress and blinked his eyes open as he watched her. His own connection to the force ran to the plant, stabilizing it best he could with one hand on the ground, his other hand working to try and tear her palm from the dirt. He knew it had been a bad idea to let someone attempt this so new to the force but he for some reason have given his confidence too early on it. He had to find a way to equalize what was going on inside her too so he closed his eyes and as he held her army, working to disconnect her from the plant he would feed the force through him. What he was trying to do was simple in words but difficult in practice as he was attempting to redirect the force through him and into her to balance out what was lost while also keeping the plant from beginning to die off as he had to slow down its growth without it withering. The actions themselves taxing his mind as he had to split his focus so greatly.

With the aid of [member="Solan Charr"] Morgana felt her connection wanning from the plant. It was enough to help her pull her hand back and eventually snap away all connection together. She felt her arm being thrown for a moment before falling onto her back. She took sharp deep breaths before sitting up, seeing what was left of the plant. Too much force had been put into it. It was dead. Seeing this Morgana shook her head and looked away, obviously upset. She said nothing but hid her face away from the king of Kesh.

Solan breathed in as he tore his own hand from the ground and gripped at his head. Dead, another dead, another to the count. He shook his head and gripped at his ears as if it were too loud in the silent garden. His eyes shut tighter. The images of makeb shot through his mind, the thousands wiped out in a single second while his mind was unprotected and his empathy caught it all. The screams, the final memories, the final emotions, the amount of death. He gripped at his head harder for a moment before sparks of fire started to catch on his hand and he slammed the hand into the ground.

His breathing slowed as he put the barriers back up and breathed slowly. It took alot to keep his memories of makeb under control, too much at times. But he could control it now as his shoulders dropped alittle and he opened his eyes slowly to look at the plant then at the girl that hid her face and was upset. He sighed and turned to her like nothing had happened. "Hey, its ok, not everyone gets it right on their first time... i killed hundreds of flowers learning how to do it and burned my hands a thousand times learning how to control my pyrokinesis."

"You don't understand." she said, still turned away from him. "This always happens. Always! Whenever I try to use the Force. It's....it;s like I can never keep it under control. I try move something small and it winds up flying a yard away. I try to read people's feelings and suddenly they start going through violent mood swings. I try to see the future....and every time I wind up focusing too hard and everything starts to shake and crumble around me. I'm just a walking peice of destruction waiting to happen...."

"Hmm... lets try to help with that then. I got a free day anyways... creating a police force on the planet tends to keep me less as busy on a daily basis. Its a wonder why kings and queens don't set up a judicial system on other planets. But i digress. Tell me. Just now what were you thinking about when you were thinking of it.... were these thoughts going through your mind when you were trying to grow the flower. The doubt of your actually succeeding for once. Getting it right and doing something that you can impress others with?" If it were her doubt that she so readily told him, that was something he could more than understand. Something he knew very well.
