A Walk in Shadows (Hawk Solo)

[member="Hawk Solo"]

"That is very interesting" and it was interesting that he would divulge it to her a stranger. "How is it changing that would cause others to leave?" It was information she could use at some point something to refer to. Or something she could use to protect herself with.

She tried to smile, she was interested in what he had to say. She ate slowly though wanting to linger and relax just a bit more. That he would reveal this to her a weekend away with him might loosen his tongue on other things. Her interest was peaked.

"I really don't want to say in public." He says a as he eats. It was nice to see her smile. She had a nice smile. "I'm sure you can understand that." He smiles lopsided at her.

"Only sometimes do I understand. Secrets can be very....revealing. So one must make a choice on whether it is a good or bad to have the secret, what do you think of secrets overall?" Now they were finally talking about something she felt comfortable with.

[member="Satine D'ulin"]

"I think it good to have some mysteries in life. The question is if having secrets are good or bad would depending on the secret. For example the secret of someone having a crush on someone is good.. Having a secret about a weapon that could destroy the galaxy is bad. Tell me one of your secrets and I will tell you one of mine?"

A mystery of life was not the same as a secret to Satine. A Secret was something you did not wish to share with someone, a mystery of life was not understanding why things happen.

But now he wanted to share a secret, to what end. She considered this answer, he could reveal to her something she could use. Or he could say something that was completely something she didn't know what to do with.

"A secret that I normally do not want others to know" She clarified to him, wanting to make sure she understood what he asked.

[member="Satine D'ulin"]

"Yes. Something like that." He says with a charming smile. He leans back in his chair and waits. From what he knew about her, he knew it would good. Satine had been playing mysterious woman card long enough. He want to know someting about her.

What could she tell him something abiguous but what. She contemplated many things from her childhood, "I once helped a sister to sneak out to go to a dance to meet a boy" It was a big deal, to have been caught they would have both been punished.

"Now you" She hoped what she said was enough.

Hawk grins. So she has a sister. His planned to find out something new worked. Now it was his turned to tell a secret. He had plenty of secrets to tell.

He leans in close. "To get a lead in ballet, I once sabotage another dancer performance. I made sure that they couldn't find their shoes that they had carefully molded to their feet. They had to wear a new pair. They were awful. Making mistakes right and left. No one ever found out I did that."

Her eyes got wide he sabotaged someone to get a part. "That was very selfish of you Jedi Solo, I am quite surprised" Was she teasing him or was she serious it would all depend on how he took it.

"Was the lead worth sabotaging the other person?"

[member="Satine D'ulin"]

Hawk laughs. He took her comments as teasing. "Yeah it was worth it. I got to work with a beautiful Ballerina Rose Dahl." He says name dropping. She had become quite famous in the last few years. He left out the part that they had a brief fling,

"What about you sneaking out of the house to see a boy?" He says teasing her. He knews she said it was a sister. He had feeling that it was her..

[member="Hawk Solo"]

"I did not sneak out to see a boy, one of my clan sisters did, I just helped them do it." Satine thought for a few moments, was it worth it. "I would have to ask my sister if it was worth it, I got nothing from the experience. She on the other hand came home singing"

Satine smiled remembering how her sister had looked. She seemed to of had a good time, so perhaps it had been worth it to break a rule. Satine rarely broke rules though. She shook her head, not paying attention to the name dropping. She felt odd again, off like she did not belong again, that this place was not meant for her.

She finished her food, and looked over to Hawk. "Your father, do you get along with him now?"

"I have the feeling it was worth it." He says with a laugh. He finishes his drink. His eyes grow a little sad. The question about his father brought up a lot of conflicting emotion for him. Especially since Hawk had no idea if Nathan was still alive.

"I don't know. I haven't seem him in a long time." He pauses. "I'm not even sure he's alive." He left it at that. Seeing his father "force ghost" on Illum had thrown him for a loop.

His manner indicated that his father was not a good subject, she did not know her father. Her mother had taken a lover and gotten pregnant, or was it that she had a one night stand the story changed each time her mother had talked about it.

"Family can be difficult, they seem to have an expectation that they've often failed to communicate to others" She looked at him, her family was complicated, very. Would she trade her family, no. Did she need time from them, yes.

"Shall we walk some more, or do you want another drink?"

[member="Satine D'ulin"]

Hawk was gratefully that Satine changed the subject away from his father to families. She seems to understand him. "Yes, let's take a walk." He carries their trash to a bin and throws it out.

"Should we go outside now and looks at grounds?" The museum had a maze garden outside with statues and fountains.

[member="Hawk Solo"]

"The grounds I prefer to be outside to see if there is something here that is offered no where else" Not that she was an expert on plants but it was unique to find something that could only be grown in a single place.

It was not like people, people were every where and no matter where from they grew into whatever their experiences made them.

Hawk nods and together they makes their way outside. "It will be nice to get out of the museum. The air was getting a little stuffy." He comments to her. Too many people inside.

Outside it bright and there was a little breeze. The air was filled with different perfume of nearby flowers. "Everything is so green." He missed the outdoors living on Coruscant.

"yes, it is, calm to." Satine walked slowly, she missed home right now. She had been away a while as so often happened but this time it was different. It had been months now. She wanted to see her family and sisters and feel relaxed enough to carry forward in her duties.

She looked at Hawk. "This place holds much history, don't you think?"

[member="Satine D'ulin"]

"Yeah, it does." He says agreeing with her. They walked along the marked path through the flower. Hawk stops and smells a red rose. "I think this is my favorite so far." He wished that he could pick it. The museum had a few signs reminding the patrons not to pick the flowers.

He smiles at Satine. He really hopes that she would go to Spira with him this weekend.

Just as she began to speak her comm went off she excused herself walking to the side, she spoke in hushed tones. Once done she turned back to Hawk, "I must return to the Senate building there is an issue that requires attention." She smiled again,

"I will think about Spira and let you know, until then you can escort me to the Senate" She nodded expecting him to do so. Something inside her told her he would.

[member="Satine D'ulin"]

"Sure. I'll escort you back to the Senate. I should get back to the Temple as well." He walks her back to the Senate. "I really enjoyed sharing that with you." It had been memorable date. Satin got to meet his mom and his daughter unexpectedly. It went well for the most part. Even if his mom was too obvious in her desire to see him settled.
