"Oh chit chit chit!...."

'...you've done it now little girl!...'

She had messed up bad, she never should have taken that job, not here, not on Kestri. The Mandos knew what she looked like and had already put out wanted signs on the holonet for her, how long would it be before they were here. Would Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla get in trouble too if she was found here? What if she decided she wanted the bounty herself.

"Chit, where is it? Where is it?" where had she left confetti, she needed to get out of here. Her ship wasn't far down the road, if she packed and ran she could get put before the authorities arrived. There was a crash as she knocked over a metal bowl of droid components, but she didn't have time to tidy it back up.

Why had she done this?

'...because you are a wreckless little brat...'
"But that gun, I needed it!"
'...did you?...'

Her heart raced as she continued to search for anything that was hers. How was she going to tell her friend that she couldnt return to Kestri again. She only had one home now, and after this maybe only one friend too. She needed to get out of here quickly.

"Well that went better than expected!"

Hilal walked through the streets of Kresti fresh off a successful business deal with the Geonosians. The B.R.U.H and D.U.M units will be mass produced on Geonosis and will be sold Galaxy wide. She learned the tricks of the trade from Mya Jesel Mya Jesel and those lessons were paying dividends. A big smile formed on Hilal's face as started skipping towards her shop. She hoped to reap in huge profits from these Droids, they were designed to provide cheap but effective protection. Small towns located on remote planets could definitely use a small Droid army especially during these times.

The young woman wanted to celebrate with her best friend Hex Hex . She hadn't seen her since her hospital visit, in fact Hex had been off doing her own thing while Hilal was rehabbing from her injuries. It sucked that Hex wasn't there to support Hilal but she let it slide, work in the Underground was always busy. Hilal should know considering all of the contracts she had been getting lately. As soon as Hilal entered the shop, DVA immediately ran towards her sounding out an assortment of panicked beeps.

"What's going on?!" Hilal asked alarmed at her Droid companion, it sounded like DVA was talking about..... Hex leaving. "Hex going away, what are you talking about?"

DVA beeped again urging Hilal to follow him, her heart racing Hilal reluctantly followed wondering what Hex was up to. She climbed up the stairs hearing the rummaging of clothes and hushed whispers. There Hilal's gaze fell on Hex who was bedraggled and desperate trying to gather her items. "Hex?" Hilal said. "What are you doing?"

Hex heard the door behind her opening and heard the buzzing of that little service droid before her heard the voice of her friend Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla behind her. She turned, tears ran down her face and her eyes had turned, they could be described as bloodshot if it wasnt for the clear pink hue that Hilal would know meant Hex was in a bad place.

"Chit Lal, I've messed up!" there was a panicked look on her face and she picked up her pistol, checking it was loaded as she did.

'...She doesn't know yet, better she hear it from you than some bounty board...'
'...unless she does, can you trust her not to hand you in?...'

She cocked her head, she trusted Hilal enough, despite who and what she was, but things could change.

"You said you'd never hunt me....RIGHT? You promised!" she demanded. "I did a dumb thing, I attacked a mando bar on Kestri, and now this is everywhere..." she slid her holo across the desk where it showed a wanted poster with her face as clear as day, on stage firing her new gatling gun.

"I cant stay here, they'll find me, they'll find us, and i dant do that to you either. I'm so sorry Hilal." she looked genuinely guilty, not for the action that she had taken, it was a job, but for screwing up their friendship.

Hex peered out the window at her starfighter that was fuelled and ready to go, it was unregistered and she hoped that would buy her enough time to get off the planet and away before the authorities found her.

"I need to disappear, to lay low until your people forget about this whole thing." She continued to pack her things, she filled a second duffle bag with her limited supply of clothes including a hoodie that Hilal night recognise as one of hers.

"Oh chit! Your droid thing?" Her eyes widened. In her blind panic she had completely forgotten.

Hilal had briefly heard about a mini skirmish on Kresti, but she was too busy with rehab and growing her business to investigate the matter any further. She thought it was over and done with. However, based on the wanted information on Hex presented to Hilal, it looked like the Mandalorians already named her a person of interest. "Okay Hex," Hilal tried to keep calm, the Enclave were still a bit wary of outsiders. From the time that she lived with Hilal, Hex only stayed in her shop. She rarely ventured out unless it was for work yet...... she took a job that required her to harm Hilal's people?

"Hex....." Hilal her face full of worry she slowly approached Hex and placed her into a hug. It always worked, whenever Hex loses control of herself, Hilal would give her hug. She would calm down and smile and things would be okay. Hilal sure that the same result will happen, things will be okay..... right?

"I won't hunt you down I promise." She gave her teary friend a sad smile. "I can have Mammut Mammut remove you from the wanted system. He owes me a few favors after doing some missions for him. But I need you to calm down, you don't want to go back in that dark place again."

She lost count of how many times Hex held her at gunpoint whenever she lost herself. Hex is a schizophrenic and what worried Hilal was whether or not Hex was taking the medication that she provided her. "Just..... start from the beginning," Hilal said. "What happened?"

Hex tightened up as Hilal hugged her, she squirmed slightly but didn't fight too hard for a moment. "Not right now Hilal, please" she twisted away from her friend and put her own arms around herself. She didn't want to be touched right now, what good would that do her anyway.

"I don't want the Hutts involved, if I get caught by the mandos they'll kill me, but if I end up owing the hutts it would be even worse."

'...You'd make a good slave little girl...' Hex hit herself angrily in the side of the head.
"I need to think!"

She looked at Hilal, she wanted a full explanation? Right from the start? She rolled her eyes and turned round to keep packing as she spoke.

"I bought a gun, as payment I offered to pull a hit, the guy wanted me to hit a mandalorian bar, so I did. And now I need to leave because...." she just waved her hand toward the still glowing data pad. Hex grunted as she reached deep inside a cupboard and pulled out two cylinders that looked like tennis ball tubes, Hilal would know they were what Hex had been using to store party poppers around the workshop. She counted them, "There's one missing? If you used it, fine, I don't care, but I need to know where it is!" she was stressing so much about making sure she had everything, it had slipped her mind she had used it with Hilal to go blast fishing in a lake.

She looked at Hilal who was clearly upset, this wasn't helping Hex's mental state, part of the reason she was so distressed was leading the authorities back to Hilal's shop and incriminating her.

'...She's scared of you! She thinks you are going to do something to her...'

Hex didnt reply to her voices but adressed HIlal "I'm not going to hurt you, stop looking at me like I will." there was a note of annoyance in her voice but it was far from anger. She just needed to get ready and go, then Hilal would be safe.

Hilal's heart sank when Hex pulled out of the hug early Hex normally liked it when Hilal gave her a hug whenever they were having a good time, or she needed to cool down. The young woman stood there stunned when Hex turned her gaze from her saying that the Mandalorians would kill Hex if they caught her. "That's not going to happen," Hilal said. "My people are honorable; they'll make sure to hear your side before making judgements and even then we're not going to execute you Hex!"

That was what Hilal was desperately trying to tell herself, the Mandalorians do not take kindly to outsiders shedding their blood on their home planet. Would Hex get executed? It was possible unlikely but possible and that possibility frightened Hilal. "You won't owe the Hutts anything," Hilal said moving closer to Hex. "Gorba owes me favors meaning it's a no strings attached deal. Just let me contact him and in a few minutes your Bounty will be erased!"

She couldn't believe what she was doing, interfering with a fellow Mandalorian's hunt. As much as Hilal did love her people, her love Hex was just as strong. Hex was her friend one of the few friends she has met in her life. She was sweet, passionate, and made kick ass explosives. Hex wasn't perfect, but who the fuck was in this Galaxy?! Her imperfection was what made Hex a great woman in Hilal's eyes "Listen Hex," Hilal said tears starting to sting her eyes. "You're overreacting, let me talk to the Mandalorian that you aggravated. We can come to a deal!"

DVA approached Hex, his small head hung in shame. Hex's Party Poppers lay frozen in his mini tractor beam as he lay the explosive device in front of Hex's defeat. "Please Hex," Hilal said her voice wavering. "Just stay please..... We can fix this we've always fixed in the past!"

Tears started to roll down from Hilal's cheeks, her body wanting to collapse in a fetal position and weep. "Temya'r ti ni ner burc'ya." (Stay with me my friend)

Hex pointed her finger at Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla , not out of anger, but to make sure her point was clear. "Listen to me Lal, I get it, you want to help me, but i dont want the hutts involved in my life, you might not end up owing them, but they will have me on their radar... OK?" she cocked her head as the diminuitive assistant droid brought back her party popper and put it in front of her feet.

She looked at the droid who actually seemed to be giving her guilty eyes "Fine, i told you i just needed to know where it was... keep it little man, go blow something up. She almost laughed as she shook her head at the child like droid.

'...You are hurting her, she doesn't understand...'
'...of course she is, its what she does...'

Hex looked at Hilal and felt herself beginning to lose control. "Hilal, please stop crying, I need you to be strong and understand this."

She breathed sharply and her head twitched as she found it harder and harder to control her mood.

"You are my friend, you will always be my friend, but if I stay here and undo the reputation you have worked so hard building up, our friendship won't survive." Hex was struggling to hold it together and the noise of a siren outside, maybe a block away, unlikely to even know she was there, made her snap. She grabbed spanner and launched it with a cry, it flew across the room away from the girls and smashed through the window.

'...That's it girl, feel that rage, you anger keeps you safe!...' a wicked grin came over Hexes face but her eyes still registered as Hilal's friend needing help.

She spoke again to Hilal, this time cooler and much more matter of fact as her fear gave way to anger. "I don't fit in here on Kestri, we both know that, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I love you Hilal, I don't want to lose you, but you need to either help me move on, or get out of my way." The beautiful blue colour of her eyes had been replaced by the burning pink
