Standing next to Arwen as he meticulously worked underneath the stationary light interceptor was a quirky maintenance droid, a DUM-series pit droid. With its mechanical precision, the droid effortlessly held onto an open anti-static toolbox that contained numerous tools to perform maintenance work. The box was almost as large as the pit droid, yet it showed no signs of difficulty in its more than capable grip. Arwen had rescued the droid from a salvage yard where it had been abandoned and mistreated. It would have surely rusted and faded out of existence if he did not rescue it. Besides feeling sorry for it, Arwen found companionship in the little droid's presence.

As Arwen cautiously adjusted the starship's components, the pit droid set the toolbox on the ground and began rummaging through the contents, searching for the necessary equipment needed for the next stage of Arwen's work. Without request, the droid swiftly provided Arwen with the required tool and handed it to Arwen. Grinning in appreciation, Arwen graciously accepted the wrench and used it to tighten the bolts he had installed. The droid, equipped with numerous scanners in its circular photoreceptor, observed Arwen's work, occasionally tilting its head or making exaggerated gestures with its mechanical arms. Some would see it frustrating having a droid critique their work but Arwen appreciated it, knowing that the experienced eye that was fitted with numerous scanners was only ensuring the quality of work was up to standard.

"It's break time, right?" Arwen said, pointing at a bench nearby. The droid tilted its head inquisitively, its photoreceptor scanning the surroundings before showing two mechanical thumbs in response. Arwen chuckled and patted the droid on its shoulder as he climbed up to his feet. The duo were shortly interrupted when Arwen's handheld holo communicator alerted him of an incoming transmission from Jedi Master Valery Noble. Accepting it, he was greeted with a projection of Valery that was illuminated in blue, "Greetings, Knight Hamenick. According to reports I received, there has been an increase in activity in the Old Sith Worlds region of the Galaxy. These planets once belonged to the Sith Empire, whose survivors have now established a new power base in the Outer Rim. But I've been worried about their reach expanding far beyond their borders, and now we've detected Sith Convoys in the region as well. Your mission is quite simple — you'll be joining me to neutralize one of these convoys and learn as much as we can about why they're there, and what exactly they're doing. When you have the time, find me in the Council Chambers."

"Looks like we're getting a longer break than we thought, my friend. Wait by the ship for me," Arwen said, addressing his pit droid. The droid raised a mechanical thumb in acknowledgment, understanding the seriousness of the situation. The droid lowered its dome head and returned to the light interceptor as Arwen went a separate way. Covered in grease and oil, he made his way through the glamorous Jedi temple, the complete opposite of how Arwen looked right now. As Arwen navigated the halls of the Jedi temple, he couldn't help but feel a sense of readiness as this was going to be his first mission under the guidance of Jedi Master Valery Noble. The journey through the temple was familiar to him, and he greeted fellow Jedi he passed with a nod of recognition and a warm smile. As he neared the Council Chambers, he inhaled a heavy breath and prepared himself for what was to happen. The Council Chambers stood tall, its entrance guarded by imposing statues depicting Jedi of the past. With each step as he closed in on the chambers, Arwen's resolve deepened, knowing that within those walls, crucial decisions were made and destinies shaped. He hoped one day he would be a part of those crucial decisions.

As he entered the chambers he provided Valery with a brief bow. "Master Noble, I came as soon as I could," he said, his voice filled with concern.

Within the Council Chambers, Valery waited comfortably in her seat for the Jedi Knight to arrive. She had just sent out a whole series of assignments to other Jedi, a lot of which revolved around the increasing Sith presence, so she was a bit on edge. It had been some time since the war with the Maw ended, but she feared that many were hopeful for a long time of peace. Something that Valery didn't really believe in anymore.

Not with Sith causing trouble in the Outer Rim.

So rather than pretending that everything is alright, and thereby offering them the time and space to expand and become a bigger threat, she wanted to take action. Not going in with fleets, armies, and Jedi for an attack, but clever operations to test their strength and limit their reach away from their own borders. That's what today's mission was going to be about as well — stopping the Sith Order from bringing troops, supplies, or whatever they were carrying into the Tingel Arm or the ancient Sith worlds.

Luckily, Valery didn't have to wait long before he arrived.

The elevator up to the Council Room came to a halt, and Arwen Hamenick Arwen Hamenick stepped into the room. Valery got up to her feet to bow respectfully in return, before offering a smile, "Glad you could be here so soon, Knight Hamenick. I assume you've listened to the mission outline, so I wanted to ask if you had any questions before I explain more and we get going?"

Within the Council Chambers, Arwen shifted his gaze to Valery, who waited comfortably in her seat. The room featured a circular arrangement of seats, each one with a unique style that was customised to suit the needs of the Jedi who sat upon them. Many of them were normal size, like the one Valery was seated on before his arrival to the room. This sacred room was where the fate of the galaxy had been deliberated upon and decisions were made by many generations of Jedi, in both the Jedi Order and the New Jedi Order. Arwen could feel the presence of those Jedi that stood before him in the room and it only made him more determined knowing the Jedi of the past featured at his side.

The recent assignments she had dispatched to other Jedi hinted at the escalating threat of the Sith presence, and Arwen knew that complacency would only allow them to grow stronger. There were times in the past where Jedi were too complacent when dealing with rumours of Sith ascension and it was their greatest demise. This wasn't the case and it was a testament to the dedication and leadership of the New Jedi Order who had Jedi Masters like Valery serving for them.

Arwen's gaze focused intently on Valery as she spoke to him. He lightly coughed into a balled up fist before preparing himself to answer the question she had provided him with. "Master Noble, if I may inquire, do we have any intelligence on the size of the Sith forces we may encounter, as well as their specific objectives in the region?" he asked, his voice reflecting his curiosity. He wanted the details, no matter how small, as it may be beneficial for his own understanding.

"Thus far, we've only seen a light presence. Scouts, supply convoys, and the occasional listening post. But all of those things together hint at something bigger. We...just don't know exactly what their specific objectives are." Which is exactly why she had sent out all of these assignments. Not to just stop their plans, but to understand them on a deeper level as well.

"We're going to hit a convoy that might not be all that important or threatening on its own, but I hope it will reveal a lot more to us," Valery then continued
.

"Together, we-" she stopped and blinked as she suddenly focused on her senses for a moment, and felt a strong and familiar presence making his way up with the lift. Her husband was coming and she already knew it wasn't just to use the chambers to do his own work.

"Hmm, it seems we have a visitor," Valery said with a smile that, despite her professionalism, could never hide her affection for him.

Arwen listened attentively to Valery's brief, merely nodding in agreement until she finished. The presence of scouts, supply convoys, and listening posts indicated a larger, more significant objective that remained elusive. The Sith had always brought chaos and destruction wherever they went, and now, during a time of peace, it was crucial for the New Jedi Order to take an iron fist to the uprising. It was no longer about carrying out a mission; it was about safeguarding the peace that had been hard-won by not only this generation of Jedi but those that stood before them. Arwen knew that now, more than ever, they needed to stand together and ensure that darkness did not encroach upon the galaxy once again through one small victory at a time.

As Valery concluded, Arwen spoke firmly, detailing his thoughts. "Scouts, convoys, listening posts... It all eludes to a potential headquarters for their uprising, Master Noble. One can hope striking this convoy can provide us with further details, as well as prevent supplies from being sent to wherever they're setting up."

Arwen's attention shifted momentarily as he noticed Valery's change in demeanor. He followed her gaze toward the lift that proceeded to open and reveal the Jedi Master's husband, an unfamiliar face to Arwen, but one that brought a sense of warmth due to the welcomed presence. Arwen provided an all too familiar bow to Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble as he exited the elevator.

Kahlil_Div2.png

"Reclaiming their homeland is important. There are many who don't care, especially those who lead, but to the devoted that serve them symbols are needed." Kahlil spoke up even as he entered the room, to expand upon what Valery was saying. He knew their tactics. As a son of a Sith Emperor, how could he not? He kept a calm smile as he moved to stand beside his wife, offering a brief nod of his head towards Arwen.

"Real question is how they plan to take it all back. How, and who exactly. It's not easy to fund something so far from their current base of operations. Even with the world craft they have that can move."

Arwen's smile grew wider as Kahlil walked into the room, captivated as he continued on from what Valery was saying. The strong bond between the two of them was admirable, and Arwen could only aspire to be as wise as them one day. As Valery and Kahlil spoke, Arwen's admiration for them deepened with each word spoken. Valery's strategic thinking and her unwavering commitment to the Jedi Order's mission. Her leadership and dedication wasevident in every decision she made and in every word she spoke. And unbeknown to Arwen, Kahlil, with his unique perspective as the son of a Sith Emperor, brought invaluable insight into the Sith's tactics and motivations.

His light blue eyes alternated between the two as each took their turn to speak. Every word spoken was absorbed into his tanned skin, furthering his admiration for the two Jedi Masters that stood before him, clearly wanting to make a change in the galaxy, rather than let it return to the old ways. "I agree," he responded. "Reclaiming their homeworld holds great significance to them. It's more than possible that they have hidden allies, operating in the shadows, providing them with resources and support beyond our current knowledge."

Arwen paused, resting his calloused palms that were still covered in grease on his hips. "Our mission to intercept the convoy presents an opportunity to gather vital intelligence. I believe this will aid us in providing us with all the answers we seek right now," he spoke clearly, eager to prepare for the mission with the two experienced Jedi Masters at his side.

As Kahlil entered the Council Chambers, it was clear that he had already done this homework, and likely tapped into their unique bond to understand what she was planning. So as he walked over, Valery's gaze followed him, and she just couldn't stop the corner of her lips tugging up into a smirk. She always really liked having him by her side on missions involving the Sith, especially those with connections to his father. Kahlil just had a lot of experience, understood the way they thought, and of course, their bond made them an unstoppable Force.

But they weren't alone, and Arwen very quickly showed his value as well. He knew exactly what type of threat this was, even though all they were aware of were simple convoys. If it had been any group other than the Sith, this wouldn't have been nearly as alarming.

"A lot of questions but we don't yet have the answers, and we should be careful with drawing conclusions. Even if we discover something, we should remain open to the idea that there could be even more. Something we're still overlooking." Valery looked at Arwen again and smiled faintly, "So I agree, we start with this convoy and I'm sure we can learn more."

Her fiery gaze then turned back to her husband with a sparkle that hinted at excitement. As serious as this was, the thrill of a mission like this was still there just a little bit. "Do you think we should take the Bastion? We'll likely have to end up boarding ships, so it can be good for that. Or you two take the Bastion while I follow in my X-wing for extra fire support."

"They will nog be undefended."

Kahlil_Div2.png

"The Bastion does make a good docking vehicle. And, well, I am quite attached to my ship." He chuckled a little, glancing to Arwen. He could have the Knight fly the Bastion while he and Valery both took their X-Wings. Maybe that was the best path. For once, his expression showed a mix of emotions. Sharing his ship wasn't something he often did, but to be safer for them all, well.

"How well do you fly, Arwen?"

Arwen's eyes glistened with excitement at the prospect of flying alongside Kahlil and Valery. The opportunity to fly a ship that wasn’t his personal light interceptor was one he couldn’t pass up on. Since his childhood he had always been fascinated by different ships, spending considerable amounts of time watching ships soar through the skies, leaving the busy spaceports that were located near the temple he resided at.

He was excited at the prospect of handling the Bastion, even though it was a ship he knew nothing about. But face it, anything was better than the junk he owned. Arwen spoke with full confidence, wanting to impress the Jedi Masters that stood before him. "I can assure you, Master, I am a skilled pilot and I am confident in my own abilities," Arwen continued, “I've logged hundreds of hours piloting various ships, from light interceptors to freighters. I may not be the most seasoned pilot in the Order, but you can trust me with your ship. I’ll treat it as my own. I hope that answers your question.”

Just a quick write up, wrote it up on my phone while o had some spare time. Will get back to posting properly on Monday.

<Why do I get teased when you break my speeder, but you get to be all protective over the Bastion?> Valery asked her husband telepathically, purely to tease him just a little bit. Comparing the Bastion to a speeder was of course silly — that ship had been their home so many times, and they've gone through just about everything with it. For its history alone, it was irreplaceable, so she knew he'd only allow Arwen to pilot it if he could manage the light freighter.

"It's a light freighter, not that heavily armed but it has very strong defenses. So you won't beat her up too easily, but be careful with her," Valery said with a chuckle. "It also allows us to fly our modified X-wings. They're linked together, and paired with our bond, we can be very effective at clearing enemies." This way, the three of them could easily take out any escorts, and then use the Bastion if they wanted to bring anything back with them.

It had the cargo space, after all.

"But I don't really have anything else. If you two are ready, let's get to the ships and hit them hard." She had that Noble grin and fiery sparkle in her eyes. She was ready.

Kahlil_Div2.png

<Because I bought you that speeder with the money I made with the Bastion.> Amusement came with his words through their bond, but he didn't let the conversation continue. They were with company, it'd be rude to exclude them too much. He nodded to Valery's assessment, turning to head towards the hangar. He needed to stretch his wings, more or less.

"Then we'll use just the three ships. We'll keep you covered while you board one and get the information we need."

Nodding in agreement with both Valery and Kahlil, he further acknowledged their decision to provide him with the protection of their X-Wings while he piloted the light freighter. The light freighter wouldn't be as agile as the legendary X-Wing series ships, however, it served its own purpose on this mission and Arwen had no complaints. The thought of flying alongside them, knowing they had his back, filled him with confidence. Arwen was still eager to prove himself to not only the Jedi Masters before him but the New Jedi Order as a whole, a mission like this provided him with the opportunity to do so.

"May the Force be with us," Arwen valiantly replied, sporting a humongous smile that revealed his glistening white teeth. His feet simultaneously kicked into motion, following Kahlil and Valery to the hangar.

Entering the hangar, Arwen's footsteps came to an abrupt halt when a wave of realization washed over him. He glanced towards the hangar where his personal ship was stationed, and there, in the distance, he spotted his loyal companion inspecting the vessel with the hundreds of sensors it had installed. If there was a loss in integrity, the droid would be able to locate it and repeatedly annoy Arwen about it until he fixed the issue. A smile formed on his lips as he diverted his attention to the Jedi Masters that were walking ahead. He spoke up, interrupting Valery and Kahlil's progress to their respective ships. "Would a droids presence be acceptable on this mission? A DUM-series pit droid. We're all aware of its capabilities. I believe his mechanical expertise can provide us with critical assistance should we find ourselves occupied or in need of additional support."

Due to his eagerness of planning the mission with the Jedi Masters, Arwen had forgotten about his loyal companion, a basic droid who had become an integral part of his journey. To Arwen, the droid was more than just machinery; it was a loyal friend and a steady presence that accompanied him on countless journeys since rescuing it. The compassion and kindness he showed to this one droid reflected his beliefs, extending his empathy to all beings, regardless of what they were.

"Of course, the Bastion is a lot easier to fly with a co-pilot or trustworthy companion," Valery told Arwen as the three Jedi made their way down into the Hangar. The X-wings were always maintained to be ready to go at any moment, and the Bastion was handled much the same. So once Arwen settled into the cockpit, Valery made her way over to her X-wing, fired up all systems, and linked with her husband's fighter.

<I think this is the first time we're taking these into serious combat,> Valery commed, hoping that wouldn't really worry Arwen too much. She had flown together with Kahlil plenty of times before, but now they just had some tech at their side that would make them even more coordinates. She had never thought that possible with how their bond worked, but it would be interesting to see it happen.

Then, once all ships were ready, the small squadron left the Hangar and followed a special trajectory for Jedi craft up through the busy Coruscant traffic until they were in space and cleared from the gravitational field of the planet. <I've shared the coordinates. Link up to me and... let's get going,> she told them, and with a quick slide of the Hyperspace lever, the jump to former Sith territories was made.

The journey itself wasn't too long and likely felt even shorter because of the adrenaline rush. But soon enough, the three ships entered real space once more, to find a convoy of several larger freighters, guarded by Tie-fighters and other Sith craft. In an instant, they all turned for the Jedi, and the battle would begin.

<Arwen, try the lead freighter while we focus on their escorts.>

Speaking of which...

<Incoming!> Valery called out, as enemy interceptors were the first to reach them.

After receiving confirmation from Valery, Arwen motioned his droid to join the group. The quirky droid quickly approached with a comical run and waved with its mechanical arms excitedly. He signaled the droid to the light interceptor that was waiting to be boarded. He was immensely grateful that his companion was allowed to join him, knowing the invaluable assistance it would provide. He thanked the Jedi Masters in front of him before they ventured off to their X-Wings. "Thank you," he said with genuine appreciation at the decision that was made.

Arwen approached the light freighter with his palms stretched out. He was inspecting the exterior of the ship, performing his usual pre-flight checks. His fingers ran against the smooth metal surface, feeling for any irregularities or signs of wear on the exterior. Even though he had a droid that could inspect the ship for him, it was a ritual he had developed over years of flying. A pre-flight routine ensured the ships he was flying were in working condition. Satisfied with the inspection, he paced up the landing ramp and entered the cockpit. To his amusement, his droid companion was already settled at the co-pilot's seat. Even though he had never seen the Bastian before, he felt a sense of familiarity with the ship and its many controls. He settled into the pilot's seat and ran his fingers against the main console, firing up the required systems for the light interceptor. As soon as all three were ready, Arwen left the safety of the hanger and manually guided his way through the busy Corsucant traffic lanes.

<I'll pretend I didn't hear that! I'm sure you've got experience piloting other fighters in combat... I hope!> Arwen joked, easily brushing the comment off. He had full faith in the abilities of his allies in the legendary X-Wings, even if they lacked combat experience in their own personal fighters. Inhaling several short breaths he checked over the coordinates provided by Valery and made sure his systems were linked up with the data. The coordinates were unfamiliar to him, an indication that he was going to a part of the galaxy he had never visited before. Doubts started to creep into his mind. At a crucial moment like this, Arwen relied on the Force more than ever so he reached out. He closed his eyes and offered a silent prayer, seeking guidance and strength from the Force. Almost instantly, a sense of calm washed over him, dispelling any doubts that had been created subconsciously. With a steady hand on the Hyperspace lever, Arwen waited on the signal to go. Once provided, he pulled the lever with a firm grip, initiating the jump to Hyperspace.

How did the generations before manage without Hyperspace? This trip would have taken a considerable amount of time if the ships didn't possess their current technology. Unlike generations of the past that didn't have such technology, the ships made the journey in what appeared to be minutes. At this moment Arwen couldn't help but appreciate the advancements in technology that now allowed ships to travel the galaxy.

His ship was the last to emerge out of Hyperspace and into real space. Large freighters were accompanied by TIE fighters and various other unidentified ships were straight ahead. The hostile forces immediately registered them on their radar, turning to attack with alarming speed. <Well... I think they know we're here! I'm making my way to the front of the convoy now! I'll need cov--> Arwen grunted, his transmission was interrupted when he had to perform a dangerous barrel roll aerial maneuver to evade the laser cannons of an oncoming TIE fighter. His droid companion, nestled in the co-pilot's seat, cowered in response to the intense aerial acrobatics, collapsing into its dome-shaped head. Meanwhile, Arwen silently celebrated with a couple of air fist pumps.

The Force is with me, the Force is with me... Those words repeated in Arwen's head as he navigated his ship through the chaos while trying to avoid the hostiles that were in his path. He relied solely on instincts and the Force to guide him, making split-second decisions to evade incoming fire. Arwen's focus intensified as he pushed the ship to its limits, navigating through the explosions that went off around him.

Kahlil_Div2.png

<This isn't the first time, what do you mean? We fought in these against the Maw.>

Sure it was only once, but it was very much the pair of them ripping through the Maw rank and file. Much like now. It'd been admittedly much longer than he'd admit since he last piloted his X-Wing, but much like riding a bike it was easy for him to remember the controls. A calm smile stayed on his face as he weaved through the incoming ships, only pausing when he heard a call for help.

Which he didn't hesitate to help with. Because Arwen is in trouble and nothing at all to do with the Bastion being the ship currently targeted. Absolutely not why he, once he found the group chasing it, launched one of his Shadow Bombs to take care of the whole group in a blinding flash.

<You're clear. Get docking on that ship!>

Glancing at his loyal droid companion in the co-pilot's seat, he noticed it had folded itself into its dome-shaped head to conceal itself out of complete fear of the situation that was presented. The DUM series pit droid was different from its standard counterparts. It had been modified to express emotions, possessed advanced processors to enable it to perform at an advanced level, and was capable of understanding Galatic Basic. He offered the droid reassurance during the chaos by resting a hand on the droid's domed head. Arwen whispered to the droid as he struggled to pilot the ship with one hand, "Everything's going to be fine, the Force is with us, friend."

The droid's circular photoreceptor tilted in Arwen's direction, and a shaking mechanical arm was also presented with its thumb on display. A smile managed to form on Arwen's face before he was blinded by a white flash that erupted in his peripheral vision. He reacted immediately and swivelled his seat one hundred and eight degrees so he could locate the source of the white flash. What was once a menacing formation of TIE fighters had now been reduced to nothing more than debris floating in the vacuum of space. The adrenaline running through his veins prevented him from embracing any form of relief. Another attack could be imminent, and he couldn't afford to be caught off guard this time. He was piloting another man's ship, after all.

<I'm on it!> Arwen communicated, updating the Jedi Masters. He immediately steered his ship toward the front of the convoy for the second time and skilfully piloted through the wreckage of the destroyed fighters that had floated in his direction after the explosion. Perhaps it was the Force that expertly guided him through the obstacles that threatened to impede him, or maybe it was down to his own piloting skills that he undervalued.

The freighter was straight ahead and was now vulnerable without the aid of the fighters that were protecting it. He aligned the interceptor with the docking port, his hands steady on the controls. Every slight move was calculated as he guided the ship, expertly docking it onto the freighter. He sunk into the chair and silently praised himself for how he performed. Now wasn't a time to celebrate his successful docking though. He could hear the deafening alarms emitting from the freighter he was attached to. Stepping out of the cockpit, he removed his lightsaber and ignited it. A hiss and a buzz echoed around the ship.

<I'm locked on! I'm going inside! Thanks for the help back there, both of you!>

He used the lightsaber to cut a hole through the docking port which had been sealed shut to prevent the Jedi Knight from boarding. Undeterred, he carefully cut through the steel plating of the port, creating an opening that was big enough for him to fit through. Aided by the Force, he leaped through the created hole and entered the freighter. He expected resistance, his senses were on high alert as he sauntered down one of the many corridors of the freighter. Alarms created a barrage of deafening noise down each corridor. A hail of blaster fire greeted him as he attempted to open a sealed door. Reacting quickly, he used his lightsaber to deflect the bolts of energy. He advanced, making quick work of the droids that had been assigned to protect the freighter with several slashes of his blue glowing lightsaber.

<I've just encountered droid resistance! No longer a threat but I'm expecting more than a couple of droids down here! Am I looking anywhere specific, Masters?!">

<This isn't the first time, what do you mean? We fought in these against the Maw.>

Valery blinked, pouted, and grumbled something mostly inaudible into the microphone about being called out. But he was right, and she knew that they were going to do the exact same here today. This mission was important and they had both agreed to Arwen being out there with just a droid companion on the Bastion — they'd have to protect him, so there was no room for error at all.

When the first group swarmed around the Jedi Knight, Kahlil demonstrated this by launching a Shadow Bomb. Guided by the Force, it found the exact position it needed to take out every enemy ship without even scratching the Bastion. Valery blinked, smirked, and opened her comms once.

<Good shot,> she said, but her tone made it clear to him that she knew he cared about the Bastion. After all the teasing she got for being attached to her speeder, she was going to poke fun just a little bit at him as well. With his cover, though, Arwen managed to dock with the leading ship, made his way inside, and disposed of the first wave of enemies, before calling back to the two Jedi Masters.

<Make your way to the bridge. I want navigational data - where they were going, and where they've been.> That alone would tell them so much about the scope of the Sith plans here, and it didn't require much beyond a download. <Other than, whatever you find along the way that seems useful.>

But while he went inside, a swarm of enemy fighters had now caught up and were coming straight for the two still in their X-wings. <I've got... 4 behind me!> She called out, but Kahlil had a similar number on his tail. So without talking, she communicated through their bond, and accelerated straight for him, almost as if they were about to crash into each other. She fired, but none of her bolts hit him, and none of his bolts would hit her.

Explosions would fill the vacuum around them, as they cleared enemies off of each other's tails.

Kahlil_Div2.png

<Be warry of their devotion. If you get a bad feeling, run back to the Bastion and detach. I wouldn't put it past them to try and blow the ship up once they realize what you're doing.> Another pull of his controls and he swept through another wave of tie fighters like a knife through butter. There wasn't even a hesitation in him as he flew towards Valery's ship and weaved through those following her. And left none alive, of course.

<We'll keep them busy.>

<Heading to the bridge now,> Arwen whispered, his voice barely audible as he talked through his communicator link. He didn't have to ask how the Jedi Masters were doing with the hostile fighters, he could hear the sounds of explosions from outside the ship. The two superior X-Wings were showing their aerial superiority at a time when it mattered the most.

Advancing through the ship, Arwen's confident stride echoed through the metallic corridors. The soft humming of his ignited weapon cast a dominant blue glow, illuminating the path ahead. Every step brought him closer to the bridge of the ship, where Valery had instructed him to go. As he progressed, he could hear footsteps marching in unison in his direction. A mixture of both human and mechanical steps echoed against the metallic corridors, signaling the imminent arrival of hostiles. The group of droids that emerged from the corner was the first wave and they didn't hesitate to open fire on the lone Jedi Knight that stood in their way. These droids were armed with blaster rifles and personal shields, far superior to the one he had destroyed minutes ago. "Oh chit..." A curse escaped through Arwen's lips as he used his lightsaber to deflect the incoming blaster fire.

The droids continued to press forward, their assault was coordinated. Arwen remained focused, using the Force to his advantage as he anticipated the moves being made by his enemies in real-time. He elegantly steered his way through the barrage of blaster bolts, countering each attack with a swift rotation of his lightsaber. Arwen continuously analyzed his surroundings, seeking an opening to attack. Spotting a weakness in their loose formation, he leaped at the droids. Landing behind the small group of droids he performed several precise strikes that eliminated the droids around him. Unable to catch his breath, another wave started to fire at him. Arwen reached out for one of the personal shields that a droid had used against him and used it to his own advantage to recover.

<I'm almost at the bridge now! I've encountered heavy resistance, dealing with the last of them. Droids, some armed with shields and blaster rifles.> Blaster fire was audible in the background of his transmission to the Jedi Masters piloting their X-Wings. With all the resistance they were meeting, clearly, something bigger was going on here. The Jedi were uninvited guests and it was certain the attackers did not want them to investigate what was going on.

The ship then started to shake uncontrollably, sending Arwen off balance.
