Faction A big fat Red Dragon Wedding (TRD alliances and friends only)

Sitting quietly, Enigma elbowed Hacks in the ribs good naturedly.

“Yeah Boss, mind your manners! Stop interrupting the nuptuals in such a manner!”

Throwing up a chrome-handed thumbs up to the fellow who had come over to speak with them, the slicer sent him a whispered

“Don’t worry Bro, I got you! Allll you neeed is looooveeee….”

Within his seat, he turned a masked head around, looking about for his secondary objective, that being bridesmaids and beer. Alright now, let’s see what we have here…ach! A bunch o’ red dragans cap’n! Argh, there be dragans in these seeeeeas alrightyyyyy, but where be yon bonny wenches and yon meadswills!?

As he searched, the room, the celebrant continued.

“Marriage is an integral part of the human tradition. Let us remember, as we stand here before the Universe , that the vows taken today hold great importance, just as they did to our ancestors. As individuals, we make the choice to enter the union of marriage in order to share all aspects of ourselves with our soulmate. Today, this is true for Mike and Salis. There are few greater joys in life than finding someone with whom we truly "click."”

Turning slowly, the visor on Enigma’s mask began to flash furiously with crying emojis at such poetry. WHO is this guy!? I wonder if he does haiku….

“Guys…this guys isn’t a Lawyer….he’s a freaking genius…”

Mike saw that his fiancé was getting a little uncomfortable. He understood why she was a little uncomfortable. Mike just tried to quietly comfort her.

The Lawyer said, “Minister: Under the eyes of the Universe, together we take a moment to acknowledge the seriousness of the commitment being entered into today. With great joy, we also recognize the special bond shared by Mike and Salis. Love is the soil from which life itself grows.”

Mike knew that the Lawyer was just about to do the vows. He could not wait. He had made his own vows for this momentous occasion.

The Lawyer said, “I will now invite the couple to share their vows with one another. Mike and Salis, the promises you make today are sacred; they are the groundwork from which your marriage will grow and blossom over time.

Mike, would you like to begin first?”

“Salis,” said Mike. “I knew you for years ever since I lost my parents and had to fight my brother. You were always there guiding me and helping me do what it is right. I am not sure if I would ever have been where I am here today without you. Salis, you will be my wife today and will always. I appreciate you and will give my life to you, just like you have done for me. I love you Salis. I just want to build my life around you, just like you have done for me.”

The Lawyer said, “Salis, your turn.”

Salis returned to face Mike V'Trechen Mike V'Trechen as the lawyer would continue. Smiling gleefully as the lawyer continued and Mike would move onto his vows. Only flashing a warning yellow eye towards Enigma Iuda Enigma Iuda and his continued comments before they reverted to their natural color and back to Mike and the Lawyer. As he recounted some of his life, and spoke of the future. The lawyer would give the turn to her then, she breathed in. A vow. Not something she often made. She shut her eyes for a moment before smiling wider, and saying with a light in her eyes, "Mike, I promise to take you as my husband. To get and give with you. To form a new life with you, until death itself separates us."

She pursed her lips for a moment, nodding her head. That was it. She wasn't one for complexities in most things, well, except fighting. But that was simple. She didn't get into all the messiness that was politics or, in this case, vows and their intimacy. So she simply said what she said the way she thought she should.

Hacks turned bright red when the stranger had a crack at her to peep down. She quickly cut the music to her earphones and nodded. "Sith poser," she whispered to her friends as his back was turned and walked away. She leaned back, folded her four arms behind her head and kicked her feet up. She remained quiet enough so as to not disturb the peace and tranquility event, only those immediately beside her could hear, "You know he won the Brother War?" she asked Enigma, Dyre and the random drunk they had picked up. A single, emotional tear rolled down her cheek, "I never had a brother, let alone one I could kill."

Mechanical fingers reached out and stroked her chin in thought, listening to the lawyer speak, "It's a nice wedding." The bride cast a yellow-eyed gaze over them briefly and it sent chills down the spine of the mod-junkie. She raised a brow to Enigma and made a zip motion with two pinched fingers across her lips.

Mike knew that this was one of the most important parts of all. He waited for the Lawyer to start talking again.

The Lawyer said, “Mike and Salis, it's time to join hands.”

Mike held out his hands and attempted to grab Salis’. It was time to do the most important part of the whole entire wedding. Mike stared into Salis’ eyes.

The Lawyer said, “Mike, before your family and friends, do you take Salis as your beloved Wife, to have and to hold, through laughter and in sadness, through challenges and successes, so long as you both shall live?”

“I do,” said Mike.

The Lawyer said, "Salis, before your family and friends, do you take Mike as your beloved Husband, to have and to hold, through laughter and in sadness, through challenges and successes, so long as you both shall live?"

Dyre sat watched the ceremony unfold before him, it was truly a spectacular event. The men and women sitting around them were truly the cream of society. No expense had been spared in decorating the chapel either. Streamers of fine cloth hung from the ceiling and the scent of fresh wildflowers and vanilla filled his nostrils as he breathed. Truly this represented the peak of decadence and was a far cry different from the old ‘Imperial’ marriages which he had become accustomed to.

Dyre listened as the lawyer, who seemed far more ‘human’ than most lawyers he had encountered continued. Truly this sacred union, a covenant between man and woman, though simple, was a fundamental part of the ‘human experience’. Though the tradition had started in time immemorial, it served as a reminder of the shared humble origins of the people of the galaxy.

‘Maybe I will get married one day?’ Dyre thought to himself ‘have a family of my own…’. He silenced the thought, knowing that he had years before he could truly embrace a ‘happily ever after’ of his own. Briefly he glanced around the room and spotted an Arkanian woman who was staring at him. He was somewhat taken aback by this, though he was far from unattractive, most women who had flirted with him had simply been which fancied stormtroopers. He gave the woman a wink and she smiled before returning to look at the ceremony once more.

‘I might be a long way from a happily ever after’ Dyre thought to himself. ‘But he was going to have a smashing evening…’

Max had to hold himself back from laughing out loud during the wedding, when the woman he had sat behind not only got told off but also then took a shot back at the guy. He liked this woman, never met her nor the people with her which was unusual for his line of work to not know or have heard of someone important enough to be invited to a wedding like this. But that was neither here nor there maybe after the ceremony he would be able to sit down with her and have a chat.

He listened in as the wedding proceeded fairly quickly hearing the woman in front of him quietly ask "You know he won the Brother War?" Max would look shocked for a few seconds before answering, being as quiet as he could as well. "No way, I heard the guy who did that was a gen'dai or maybe an echani? I am not sure but I am pretty sure he wasn't just a plain human from what I heard. Then again it was a story over a drink and I didn't give it much credit at all." He would sit pondering the thought for a while. Where had he heard it and who had told him again because sometimes it did depend on the person who told the story as to how over the top it had been pushed.

Then he heard her speak again saying this time "I never had a brother, let alone one I could kill." He would respond in kind quietly "Me either, only child. Dad never was a romantic and well mom didn't ever stay in one place for long anyways. That's what you get when you are born into a bunch of mercs though, you don't get a childhood and you'd be bloody lucky to get yourself a sibling." He said pulling out a flask from one of his many pockets taking a swig. "Anyone else want some, weddings tend to be boring unless you get a fight going."

Catching the yellow eyed gaze from the bride, Enigma cut down all the visual feeds from his visor, doing his best to ensure that he didn’t interrupt any of the festivities or celebration. Damn it man, this is a huge and momentous event! Something to be remembered! There are often events in history so momentous that, unless you were there in person, you’re not really going to want to hear about it at all, and that’s this! PAY ATTENTION!

Nodding his head at Hacks words, the slicer turned back and looked to the groom with newfound respect.

“The Brother war? I’ve never heard of it…. there must have been no survivors!!!!!” he whispered to his fellows, in awe that such a battle had taken place but hadn’t made it through his informants and contacts.

Accepting a swig of the flask from the newcomer, Enigma leaned forward to continue to quietly speak, ensuring his volume levels were far enough down that it wouldn’t disturb anyone who was watching the wedding.

“If this ends up a divorce war, 5 million credits on the yellow eyed bride to win!”

Salis paid attention to the lawyer, not glancing back at the audience any more as she focused on what was most important right now. As she just kept on smiling gleefully. As Further grinned, somehow, as Mike finally said "I do" and the lawyer turned to her. She raised her eyebrows chuckling quietly looking down and up for a moment, Right, family and friends. Cause I have those. she thought. No that she often thought about it bothering her.

She breathed in squeezing Mike's hands and waggling her eyebrows, "I do." she said her smile, again, somehow growing wider. Before whispering quietly to just him jokingly, "So now you can't get rid of me." a permanent memory. Now it was official, however much that could mean. Years since she met him, years since they began their friendship and it began to grow. She'd gone times without him. But now those times weren't going to be around much anymore. She could officially say she accomplished a relationship, Take that mom and dad. Someone appreciates what I do. she thought to herself.

Mike smiled when Salis whispered. He knew that he had some problems with his anger and sometimes it scared him. That was why he left the Sith and became a Ex Sith.

The Lawyer said, “Wedding rings are a traditional symbol of the strength of the bond between two soulmates. This bond is never broken, and continues in a perpetual circle, glowing with the warmth and eternal light of two souls in a perfect union. By wearing these rings, you will be always reminded of the connection you share and the vows you have made today.

Please repeat after me: I, Mike, present you, Salis, with this ring as a symbol of our everlasting love. Let it never lose its luster, just as my love for you will never fade.”

Mike picked up Salis’ ring from a table that was between the two wedding couple. The table was a little robbery, but it did not get knocked over.

“I, Mike, present you, Salis, with this ring as a symbol of our everlasting love,” said Mike while he attempted to put the ring on Salis’ finger. “ Let it never lose its luster, just as my love for you will never fade.”

The Lwayer continued, “Please repeat after me: I, Salis, present you, Mike, with this ring as a symbol of our everlasting love. Let it never lose its luster, just as my love for you will never fade.”

The woman had been present from the start but had kept herself hidden from pretty much everybody. Ra was generally not the kind of person to attend these kinds of events. In fact, the last one she had, her adopted sister had been the bride. To her knowledge, Stardust and Darben were still married. She would have to get into contact with her again soon.

That would be something for another day. Today was the marriage of a couple of friends. One Ra had helped out to accomplish a goal she had and the other she had just been there for when he approached her. When they last visited, he had invited her to the wedding and her schedule was free. So now she was here.

In the time she had been here, several strangers had shown up. At first, it seemed that they were going to cause an issue but they changed their tune and settled down.

Luckily, Ra was trained with being stealthy. A former Sith Assassin and Sith Lord, she knew most tricks and used them this day. However, if her presence was felt and she was found, she had dressed for the occasion. Not one to wear dresses, she wore a nice business suit and her hair was pulled back into a braid. Her eyes glowed yellow, but they weren't the glow of a Sith. Instead, it was because of her race. A Zorren had glowing eyes, sharp fingernails, and canine teeth. Additionally, her ears had taken on an elfin point and she had a fluffy red tail that matched her long hair.

Since she assumed nobody sensed her presence, she continued to just observe the proceedings. Smiling a little, a day would come soon when she would be in their place.

Salis kept her gaze on Mike V'Trechen Mike V'Trechen as the lawyer continued, refusing to take her eyes off of him. She held out her hand as he reached for it, stretching her fingers and straightening them as she did so so that it'd be easier. Her cheeks tense from the almost non-stop smiling as she waited every moment closer. Glancing at the ring as he put it on, a symbol of the marriage. This was something she'd allow no one to steal. Something she'd never let anyone break.

Next it was her turn, she pursed her lips again, breathing in for a moment and then speaking, "I, Salis, present you, Mike, with this ring as a symbol of our everlasting love. Let it never lose its luster, just as my love for you will never fade." the ring floated from the table to her fingers, as she reached for his hand, looking him right into the eyes as she would go to put the ring on his finger in turn, before clasping his hands in between hers.

Mike smiled with tears of joy in his eyes. He and Salis was finally married. Mike waited on the fireworks time.

The Lawyer said, “iMike and Salis, by the power vested in me by the Red Dragon Faction and by the planet of Bespin, under the eyes of the Universe, I happily pronounce you Husband and Wife! Mike, you may now kiss the Bride.”

Mike started to attempt to give his new wife a kiss. He hoped that it was good enough. He never really had a kiss before that day.

Salis was smiling ear to ear, a surge within her heart that seemed like it could be felt even if a person wasn't able to see her face. As the lawyer finally began to finish, she didn't even wait completely for his words to stop leaving his mouth before Salis wrapped her arms around Mike V'Trechen Mike V'Trechen for a kiss. "Guess who just got married." she muttered quietly.

This would be an interesting journey indeed. A new adventure, one that was not pure violence. A new experience that perhaps would finally gain her attention without involving someone losing a head or a limb. A new life with a person she believed she could trust, a person who she could love.

Mike was excited. He really wanted to jump up and down. Mike was just happy that this was a dream come true.

The lawyer said, “Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time, I give you Mr. and Mrs. V'Trechen!!”

“Salis,” Mike whispered. “Thank you for doing this.”

Mike, then, started to escort Salis to the taxi to leave. Mike had a big smile on his face. He was just excited.
