Writer 1000!

Incredible! It has taken me a couple of years, but I have now reached that four digit milestone! Some of my writings I am proud of, while with others written in a rush I read them and cringe. It has been very difficult in getting a story arc going, let alone having it complete. There are too many people that come and go so quickly on this forum. Yet I am determined and stubborn! I will see to it that at least one will come to it's conclusion, even if it is merely a solo venture. That is my goal for this next milestone. :)

Liin is one of the most unique and interesting characters on the board currently. As both an NFU and the Director of a corporation, she really stands out in a sea of Jedi and Sith PCs. I also really enjoy your contributions to New Cov, particularly in how you've depicted their society and the shift from being run by NCBC to becoming an independent democratic state. And of course, I am personally delighted by your choice in playbys, being a classic film nerd.

I think you're a solid writer. It's unusual to find someone writing their character in the first person rather than third, but that isn't a bad thing. Based on my interactions with you while writing Thel Bloodscrawl Thel Bloodscrawl , I do think you're at your best when you go slow and give yourself time to build up a story. The threads we've written together started strong, but seemed to kind of lose the plot somewhere along the way. I got the impression that you hadn't thought the whole thing through; I couldn't uncover the mystery my character was being asked to investigate, because you didn't seem sure what the mystery was.

My advice to you would be to avoid rushing your posts and to take your time in developing the story, and maybe to increase your OOC communication. Not just to avoid issues, but to make sure the story is satisfying. If you're unsure of where to go next, for instance, you can reach out and bounce ideas off your partner(s). All in all, I really like Liin as a character and hope to see and write with you more in the future.

Thank you for the critique and words of advice Salamander Salamander . Trying to write my own adversary was a difficult challenge that I could not overcome. Therein lies my flaw. Adversaries are very rare to come by and I have yet to find mine. So I am now writing another one for myself, but in a different way.

I am rather used to my OOC communications going unanswered, both in messages and on discord as people often move on to other things. Moving things too slowly often leads to the others getting bored. But I will take care to proof read everything beforehand at any rate.

:)

Congratulations on 1000 posts! Just wanted to say thanks for writing with what would have otherwise been a two-bit cartoon villain and somehow leading me to finding a human part of the monstrosity.

The mystery of what lies at the heart of New Cov has an excellent slow-burn horror just from what I've read from my recent arrival, and I'm almost afraid to go back and read more as if it may spoil the mystery. I think the first person perspective lends to a pulp horror, eldritch noir kind of vibe.

Regardless, it has been a pleasure to write with you; congratulations on the milestone!

Thank you Mr. Usher Mr. Usher for your kind words. I appreciate you choosing me for some fascinating character development!

I have not given much away in the Heart of New Cov arc. So there is little need to worry! More will be revealed in time and there are some surprises and twists along the way. So I do hope that you enjoy it!
