The Black Watch is an association of clans within the Mandalorian Empire who uphold the ancient traditions and faith of the Mandalorians. In the eyes of the Black Watch much of Mandalorian society has become too weak through foreign influence and must be guided back to the ancient and true ways of Mandalore. Unlike the organization the Black Watch is descended from, the Black Watch does not believe that violence is necessary for this transformation. Instead it encourages each of its members to act as Mandalorian paragons who through their deeds will encourage and convert others to proper Mandalorian beliefs.
