Pax Mortem
I know, Pax Mortem, it sounds sinister, perhaps even a bit nihilistic, but in truth, it is no more than a line, a truth to be living by. Two words encapsulate the biggest problem and the easiest solution to the problem which has been at the heart of the Galaxy's ever-brewing wars and never-ceasing conflicts. Peace in death, to find the ultimate endgoal of diplomacy in what is arguably the absolute endgoal of life, is in itself a rather sinister and macabre point of view, but nonetheless it singifies a shift away from the constant squabbling and tension created by the mainly two opposing factions within the study and teachings concerning the Force.
Whether one is Sith or one is a Jedi, both deny any similarities in their teachings, only to not realize that their minds have been in a state of fugue for centuries, their visions blurred by hatred and internal deception, their minds poisoned by the irrationality of their leaders and their own inconsistent teachings. Hence why the only truth, the only solution, is indeed Pax Mortem: the peace of death, a statement which thus highlights the idea that only by burrying both orders and all their subsequent teachings, an era of understanding and balance can grow. However, I know...just like many of you, that eradicating the ideology, the stigmatic dogma of both sides is not going to be an easy task. What the Galaxy needs is chaos, a subsequent sequence of events that would shake the very foundations on which both factions have built themselves.
Through non-sensical acts of violence, through the enforcement of order to the extreme, both factions are already fanning the flames of war accross the galaxy, creating resentment and distrust both inside and outside of their own spheres of influence. The Galactic Senate's bureaucratic inability and constant jedi oversight, the Sith Order's inability to safeguard themselves without isolating their people, it all speaks about how their orders, their teachings clash with the fragility of order. For it is through their own actions that the seeds of chaos are sown, and it is those seeds which will need nourishment.
The Galactic Empire has begun the first step, their actions allow for the seed of chaos within the Galactic Alliance to blossom. Their attacks, no matter how successful they might be, have already shown the fragility and the weakening grasp of the Alliance on their own internal order. The Imperial Confederation in the meantime has made it quite clear that they wish to breach the stalemate created by the Holy Worlds in the outer rim, further highlighting how the Sith Order's isolation may further impact their own internal balance of chaos and order.
So yes, the galaxy is falling prey to chaos, delightful, renewing and never-ceasing chaos...which brings us to the crux of the title: Pax Mortem. For within this chaos could be found the true purpose of the galaxy, the true ending to be sought and eventually the next step for the future. Death is after all, not an end. It is in fact a beginning, it is the next step in both our physical and psychological evolution. One should not fear death, but welcome it in all its forms, for only those who embrace death and welcome it, will realize that the end of one thing simply means the beginning of another...and is that not the one thing we should all strive for, to continue this evolution, to further the evolution of our minds, our bodies and our convictions. Thus Death is change, a change forged through the chaos of fear and instability, but by its nature a change to be welcomed and accepted wholeheartedly.
Pax Mortem, it might very well mean a Peace through Change.
