Lirra, Swamp Region
The days blurred together, the training endless and exhausting. Werah had already learnt immense amounts of knowledge of the force, but even now, he felt no closer to his goal of understanding the force. His mentor, Jouini, had taught him many of the different tricks and tools of the force, but had refused to teach him any deeper powers. "You are not yet ready. Train more.", was the response Werah was met with every time. He was improving for sure, and his repertoire of skills had increased considerably, of that there was no doubt, but he had begun to wonder about the reality of his ambitions. So, the rain pouring down, and the darkened mud gripping his feet, Werah considered his options, while Jouini showed him how to make the droplets of water disappear with a wave of his hand "Werah... Concentrate ...If you wish to learn, you must listen." Werah flicked his attention back to the task, and managed to reduce the amount of muddy water hitting him. It felt like years had passed since Werah first set of on his path, though he knew it was only a month or so. Jouni had finally agreed to tell him about the mysteries of the force, and Werah was shaking at the thought. It was strange, he had been perfectly confident addressing the entire TU in a speech, but he was nervous now. Jouini beckoned him over, and Werah sat beside him. "So, let me begin, yes? The force, it is not like you think. I can't tell you how to find the truth, as it is constantly changing. Only you yourself can find it. You have spent too long away from the Galaxy, Werah. Make your own path, and never give up. Only in ourselves can we use the force, but only in others we can know it." Werah leaned back, surprised, but calm. His words made sense, though they seemed ridiculous. The only way to find the truth is to not search for it? It hardly seemed plausible, but then it would hardly be the most surprising thing Werah had seen. Maybe, just maybe, the old Grenon had been right all along...
