The hammer came down over the anvil, quicky and decsively. It was an easy trade to learn, even where he was at. Hell, nether, whatever this place was. Beads of sweat rolled down his brow, as the hammer hit the steel laid upon the anvil once more in quick...
Aiden.
I trust, by the Force's will, that this message finds you well. It is truly my heart's desire that you find the answer to that which is plaguing you. I have counseled with many, and spent much time in meditation. And I believe there is only one true recourse, and that is trust.
There...

Shortly after Fatine.
This was never how things were supposed to go.
Fatine was used to Acier not picking up her calls right away. He was busy - with what he’d never say - and she’d leave him long, rambling voicemails. Sometimes she’d be upset. Sometimes she’d talk about her day. He’d always...
"Audio Log Number...." [Audible Sigh, sound indicates lighting of a cigarette.]
"I don't know what number this is. Nearly 20 years of doing this and I've finally reached the point I've forgotten where I am. This isn't a research log any way, more of a personal journal."
"I can...hear it now, I...

WARRENDER HOUSE - 2154 HOURS
"Without more we weren't able to confirm exactly what will be on offer at the auction," said Noema Kintar from one end of the long conference table in Warrender's office. This Warrender, an older woman who had been a First...
I've been thinking a lot lately about forgiveness.
Not just the kind we offer others, but the kind we desperately need ourselves. The truth is that we all mess up sometimes. Every single one of us. Me included.
One of the hardest feelings in the world is realizing that you've hurt someone...
An open missive went out to the Jedi Order.
Jedi.
I am not one of you, but I have fought with you against the Sith time and again.
Your blades are absent from the fight.
You stand idly by while the Sith run riot throughout the galaxy.
Ignite your blades. Bring balance to the Force.
Every...
Location: High Republic Space
The Covenant shuttle dropped from hyperspace without fanfare, a single vessel crossing into High Republic territory. Ace sat alone in the cockpit, black coat hanging open slightly. His hands resting in his lap, and his eyes were fixed on the stars beyond the...
The holorecording flickered to life and Ace sat alone in frame. He looked exhausted, worn down by months of stress and sleepless nights. But there was something else there too, a strange lightness, like a man who had finally stopped running.
He stared at the recorder for a moment before...
"That feeling of fighting for a cause, for the liberation of the galaxy from the tyranny of Chaos into the embrace of Order, it is a truly euphoric feeling."
For years, the remnants of Imperial civilization have endured.
We have hidden among the stars, preserved what strength we could, and...

"Never again."
The sensor station at Kintan Ridge had been built to watch storms.
For years its operators had spent their shifts tracking weather patterns rolling across the plains, monitoring commercial traffic, and occasionally filing reports on smugglers foolish enough to wander too close...
A poster is plastered somewhere in the streets of different cities in the galaxy.
To the Command Staff of the High Republic Special Services,
Effective immediately, I hereby tender my resignation from the High Republic Special Services, relinquishing all authority, responsibilities, privileges, and obligations associated with my position.
I originally aligned myself with...
32 MOONMOTH LANE - THEED, NABOO
Helena Cross glanced one way, then the other before crossing the quaintly cobbled street of the posh, quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Theed. In the distance, the waterfalls roared and the capital of the High Republic didn't quite sleep despite the obscene...
For most of my life, I've been a people pleaser.
I wish I could say that wasn't true, but it is. I care deeply about making other people happy. I want people to like me. I want them to approve of my choices. I want them to tell me I'm doing a good job. Sometimes I seek validation so often that...
He met her over Refuge.
Still fresh from the first assembly, for better or worse, and still clad in his dress uniform.
Si tech really had done a damn fine job.
Built off the surviving specifications of the Invisible Hand that had survived the centuries since, and then upscaled by a factor...
