STRENGTHS
- Balanced: The Z1 Clone Armor strives to combine suitable defensibility and maneuverability for its wearer on the battlefield, never really sacrificing much of either.
- Versatility: The armor comes equipped with many gadgets and customization options for soldiers, allowing the clone to be a versatile combatant on the battlefield and capable of overcoming many obstacles without much need for widespread specialization.
- Lightsabers: Lightsabers can still skewer a Z1 clone trooper with little difficulty, although the armor helps against glancing blows to some degree.
- EMP/Ion/Sonic Limits: The Z1 armor is primarily designed to protect against blasters and physical damage, and only has some defense against electromagnetic, ionic, or sonic energy.
As the cloning facilities of Spaarti churned out more and more first generation clone warriors for the Sith Lord Kaine Zambrano, so too did his throneworld manufacture armor and weapons to be utilized by this growing militant force.
Dubbed the Z1 Clone Combat Armor, it featured many similarities to the traditional Legionnaire armor worn by the rank-and-file soldiers of Zambrano's Sith Empire, with the primary differences mostly boiling down to aesthetic designs. White duraplast over black armorweave was selected as the primary color scheme, with ranking officers possessing colored pauldrons to visually denote rank with a glance.
Camoflague coating can be applied to different planetary environments, ranging from heavy forests, deserts, oceanic, ice, and volcanic. Some minor tweaking can even outfit the armor for use in zero gravity environments such as space.
The internal heads-up-display has been simplified with limited colors to allow soldiers to discern large quantities of information quicker than before.
