Zin is a Pylantian drink made from zingiber gel which has been churned into a smooth, creamy liquid which can be served cold or hot. Humans who have drank it compared the taste to sour blue milk. The cakes (or kekjek in the Common Tongue) are somewhat different from human cakes, both in ingredients and texture. Traditional kekjek is made with seaweed soaked in fermented juice, which is combined with flour, eggs, and sugar.
