[]Major Exports: Kalkite, Terelian ore, slate, volcanic basalt
    [
]Unexploited Resources: Potential geothermal energy from dormant volcanic vents, unclaimed biotoxins in local fauna

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: Standard
  • Climate: Temperate with long dry seasons; strong winds in mountain passes
  • Primary Terrain: Mountains, valleys, highland forests, slate plains, dormant volcanic zones
  • Atmosphere: Type I

LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: San City
    Planetary Features:
    • Primarily rural and frontier, with pockets of industrial mining
    • DDSI Survey Outposts dot the western range
    • San City built on advanced prefab tech with Tapani-inspired architecture
    • Major Locations:
    • Gray Valley: Slate-covered valley hiding rich volcanic soil beneath; primary farming and residential basin.
    • Slate Line Ridge: Mountain range rich in Terelian ore and Kalcite.
    • Outpost Theta: DDSI's original scientific camp, now a protected historic site.
    • The Ember Caves: Geothermal cave system under survey for power generation.
  • Force Nexus (Optional): N/A

POPULATION
  • Native Species:
    • Zetan Rockstriders: Tall six-legged reptilian grazers able to navigate sharp slate inclines.
    • Graymantis Owls: Predatory avians that camouflage perfectly against the rockface.
    • Cinderbloom: A bioluminescent flower that grows in volcanic soil, glows softly at night.
    • Immigrated Species: Primarily Human (Tapani), with a minority of droids, Twi'leks, and Mirialans
      Population: Moderate (Approx. 1,000,000 settlers)
    • Demographics: 85% Human (Tapani heritage), 10% Other (Twi'lek, Mirialan, Droid), 5% Unknown/Transient
Primary Languages: Galactic Basic, Tapani Sector dialects
    • Culture:
Colonial Tapani culture dominates — refined, ceremonial, but pragmatic. The valley settlers enjoy classical music, polytheistic ancestral rites, and ritualized dueling. Farmers and miners live a more austere life, while former House Mecetti agents quietly monitor behavior. The term "Sancetti" has come to mean both "duty" and "hope" in local slang, and honors the cadet House of Mecetti and Santhe which arranged the colony.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Colonial Governorship under the authority of the Diarchy
  • Affiliation: The Diarchy, House Sancetti
  • Wealth: High – Due to rare ore exploitation and strategic investments
  • Stability: Medium – Well-governed but politically tense; presence of spies and ideological enforcement
  • Freedom & Oppression: Publicly open and lawful, but government observation is pervasive. Citizens are monitored under the guise of "civil order." House Sancetti absorbed Ministry of Inquiry personnel ensure loyalty to House Sancetti while allowing cultural freedom in public life.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: No planetary military. Defense managed by a Diarchy garrison and a fleet patrol station in orbit. Private Sancetti and former Ministry of Inquiry security forces are embedded throughout society.
  • Technology: Galactic Standard with specialized mineral survey equipment courtesy of DDSI

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Zeta-09 was discovered during a private expedition by DDSI (Dynamic Discoveries and Scientific Initiatives), led by Derron Daks. Though previous surface scans had written off the world as unremarkable, Daks's deep-penetration equipment identified anomalous mineral formations beneath a Terelian shielding layer. Closer inspection revealed both Terelian ore and rich Kalkite veins.

Daks sold this data to High Chancellor Maldor Mecetti (Sancetti) of the Diarchy, who had long sought a safe and sovereign colony site for a million Tapani loyalists interested in getting a new start far from Galactic Alliance control. The settlement was a political maneuver as much as a humanitarian one—Maldor had been exiled from Galactic Alliance territory and saw Zeta-09 as the birthplace of a new House Sancetti, following his engagement to Vyllia Santhe.

The colony, anchored in Gray Valley, began with prefab cities and hydroponic installations. The capital, San City, was named as a portmanteau of "Sancetti," commemorating the union of Mecetti and Santhe. A final gift from Maldor's aging mother—a hidden network of Ministry of Inquiry agents embedded among the colonists—ensured ideological security to the new Sancetti cadet House.

Though San City is officially democratic, the shadow of House Mecetti's usual security practices looms large. Surveillance is omnipresent. Still, most settlers see Zeta-09 as a new beginning. Cinderblooms light the nights, and Rockstriders thunder across the crags. For many, this gray world shines with promise.
