Region: Wild Space
System: Soceras
Suns: Rotating Blue Pulsar YG-75i7 "Soceras"
Orbital Position: fourth out of seven, the habitable zone.
Moons: 4; Orion, Lethix, Jenniper, Skull.
Orion:
population: 12,500
Gravity: .7
Atmosphere: Type 4
Primary Terrain: Mountains, badlands, biodomes
Notable Features: Orion for years was nothing more than a rocky, barren moon orbiting Theta. However, during operation Forward Initiative, it became so much more. The moon was transformed into "port city" where all new, incoming traffic must stop, be searched, and go through clearance. Searching and clearance can take days, if not weeks. As such, a number of ignoble shops, bent on maximizing profit and minimizing quality have been erected.
Lethix:
population: 700
Gravity: .3
Atmosphere: Type 3
Primary Terrain: crystallized mountains, valleys, planes
Notable Features: A glorious phenomena of untainted beauty, Lethix is one massive, living crystal. Howling, frigid winds whip across it crystaline surface, picking up shards and dust of crystals along the way in gorgeous but deadly storms. It is a crime punishable by death to set foot on Lethix or do harm to it. The only people allowed on the surface are scientists giving observation, though a sizable tourist attraction does observe this moon from close orbit.
Jenniper:
population: 1,000
Gravity: .8
Atmosphere: Type 1
Primary Terrain: Jungles, Forests, oceans, waterfalls
Notable Features: Against all odds, life on Jenniper has flourished. A dazzling array of native life have sprung from the soil, despite the massive radiation emitted by the system's star. All non-native life dies all but instantly, and most beings must wear protective suits for the radiation, but the forestry is breathtaking. Many of the houses of Theta possess a vacation estate on Jenniper
Skull:
population: 12,000
Gravity: .4
Atmosphere: Type 4
Primary Terrain: glass-like barren fields, valleys, asteroid pitted gullies
Notable Features: It seems arbitrary that a moon named Skull would be entrusted with a planet's future life, but it is. The moon gets its name from the white, almost perfectly smooth surface. There is one settlement on Skull, and its sole purpose is to protect the mating matrix and population data created by Doctor Shorn during the New Age. A sizable tangent of Rangers is here at all times, as well as scientists, doctors, and biologists. Each sterilized to keep them honest and unbiased. Their sole purpose is to keep the matrix safe and to ensure the continued existence of Thetians.
System Features: This planet is a part of the Soceras System.
Coordinates: T-23
Rotational Period: 26 standard hours.
Orbital Period: 1,275.4 standard days.
Class: Terrestrial
Atmosphere: Type 1
Climate: Most of the planet is covered with hot badlands, some portions are more humid than others. The surface is wracked with brutal storms. However, within deep, trench-like canyons on the planet, lush bioshperes with temperate climates exist.
Gravity: Standard
Primary Terrain: Mountains, badlands, savannas, deserts, forests, tropical forests,

Native Species: None
Immigrated Species: Human, Rodien, Twi'lek, Wequaay, Tusken Raiders.
Primary Languages:Galactic Standard Basic, Old Basic, Old Correllian, "Thettall" (the native language comprised of old basic, Smuggler's cant, and piece of other alien languages)
Government: Theta is largely ruled by a tolerant government. The nation is a cross between an oligarchy of feudalism and communism. Technocrats control most of the power and the government itself. This power is usually hereditary, going from father to oldest child. However, corruption is rampant, and it is not unheard of for a coupe to occur over families who treat their lowerclass badly. The head of state is the called the Arch Prince, who's power is only as strong as their personality--and their willingness to do the unthinkable.
Population: 7.6 billion.
Demonym: Thetians, though the terms "Hard skins," "Rock hoppers" and "Metal Faces" are not unheard of--though these are derogatory.

Major Imports: Luxury goods

Major Exports: Robot parts, Ship parts, machine goods.

Affiliation: At this moment, YG-75i7 Theta is independent and autonomous. It has a bitter, long-standing rivalry with Soceras, though the planet's standing with Bankor Ultima on the planet is positive--and the two are known to engage in trade and tentative peace agreements.

Major Locations:
Hope Major: The name of this city is almost something of a misnomer. Considered to be the capital city, Theta Major is the largest city in the planet. Composed of a massive biodome, this city is a hotbed for underhanded dealings and subterfuge. It is here that blackmail is perfected, as families attempt to keep secrets as old as their lineage a secret as they uncover others. Logrolling, deal wheeling, and backstabbing are common, not only among the upper levels, but the mid and lower ones as well. A being who goes to Hope Major best be ready and alert--lest they find themselves a slave or at blaster point.

Scar's Craig: Once a mountain of earth, this massive stone has become a powerhouse of ship building. Massive machines, so old and strong it defies belief act to build ships of immaculate quality. For over 700 years this factory has been controlled by House TelCon, one of the smallest but wealthiest houses of Theta with more secrets than a being could fathom.

Fairweather: Safe from the toxic radiation of their home star, the massive canyons and trenches that etch the surface of Theta are homes to unbelievably lush forests. Their density gives to their largely unexplored nature--as well as the dangers of the beasts within.
Fairweather, however, is one of the more hospitable canyons. A few thousand miles wide, this massive zone became the Fertile Crescent of the planet, producing over 75% of the planet's foodstuffs every year. Since its founding this farm community has been controlled by House Lucris. Lucris is the most shamed homes of them all, for most consider their labor as farmers menial at best. However, Lucris' power rests not in their prestige, wealth, or military might as much as the commodities they are willing to provide.

Metrius: Named after the local's diety of the afterlife---and hell---Metrius is not ill-gained in its name. The planet is home to brutality without measure. Storms ravage this flat badland without mercy. Tornadoes strong enough to lift a speeder from the ground regularly batter this peninsula. Flashfloods of soil finer than water roar through the wide, open gullies. Landslides give way to ship-crushing rocks falling at unbelievable speeds. Earthquakes and even a few occasions of volcanic activity have been reported. Scientists are still trying to figure out why this land is so ravaged and debate over their reasonings. Though all agree; a venture into Metrius is a deathwish.

Culture:
The culture of Theta is a highly unique one that has entertained sociologist for ages.

Almost from infancy, Thetians are given their first cybornetic implants. Failure to do so is seen as a massive disgrace worse than death to the family. Though the origins of this practice are unclear, most agree that the necessity to survive in these harsh climates resulted in their recognition of need for implants. Childhood is very cold, with little nurturing, affection is all but unheard of. Technology is all but worshiped on world as the solution to all problems--as well as the means to all ends. The Force is generally frowned upon and most Force Users will find themselves isolated--if not ambushed and killed by Sonic weapons.

Control in a social and governmental sense is done by the ogliarchy of the families. They determine who receives which implants--generally through an impersonal bureaucracy. Implants indicate social standing--as well as power. It is not uncommon to see youth of the lowest class with by far outdated implants and the elderly of the controlling families receiving the newest tech.

Among the upper and middle class cunning, revenge, patience, logic, and brutality are seen as traits to be valued and praised while forgiveness, rashness, and a lack of tact are seen as abhorrent. The lower class sees servitude, submission, and a lack of aspiration as their highest achievements. While uprisings are not common, if pressed too hard or treated too inhumanely, the Lower class will over throw their house masters and create a new one or make a new leader for the house from within its family. While this is exceedingly rare, it is not unheard of.

A warrior class rests within the middle and Upper class known only as "The Rangers." The Rangers are among the most advanced cyborgs to walk the galaxy. Their tactics in battle are unparalleled in creativity and cunning. They roam the galaxy, working in subterfuge for the betterment of their homeworld--stealing technical data, exposing potential enemies, and using their mass of abilities to their advantage. The Rangers are the only Thetians to hold no homage to a home and are equally feared and respected by all.

It is to be noted that while these castes largely remain set and stone, a lower class person may rise only by their skill in technology. A useful invention, a creation without equal, or a repair that defies all reason will give that person and their descendants a rise in social class.

Technology: Highly advanced
History:
EARLY HISTORY
Theta was discovered at the same time as the planet Soceras. While Soceras was largely colonized by Anti-imperialists, Theta has a much earlier colonization. With the advent of Jedi and their massive rise to power, came the disillusionment with them, even by sects within sects. A man by the name of Benjamin Barns formed a colony expedition intended to give those who hated Force users a chance at a paradise.

The first few centuries cemented the communistic, oligarchy structure of the colony early on. Bitterness, doubt, and paranoia began to rot the community away. Dangers from without and within began to devour the community and cut off from the outside world, an age of darkness fell upon them.

AGE OF METAL
Tight-lipped and stiff lipped, the cyborgs of Theta arose. They swore to never speak of the perils they had to endure to survive--these are some of the darkest kept secrets of the Houses of power. Technology flourished, not only as their god but as their means to all ends. The age of Darkness was over, spilling out from Hope Major, the Thetians began to colonize the entire planet, slowly settling down and doing as they could to chart the planet over the course of several hundred years. As the settlements across Theta grew, the houses began to take a solid, undeniable power. Their strength grew and the visible class separation between the upper and the lower became apparent.

THE BLOODY YEARS
But with absolute power comes absolute corruption. The houses lost their connection with the lower class and began to oppress them with pure brutality. Medical needs were denied, the poor died in masses every day. It was then that their bloody uprising began, lasting several years. The Upper class made them with a simple purpose, to protect the planet of Theta. To this end, the Rangers committed atrocities beyond mentioning in the Years of Blood. On at last Red Sunday, the war was brought to a standstill in one of history's strangest twists of fate.

The Rangers realized that the war was wrong on both sides and if they were to protect the planet, they and they alone could, and must act with extreme unbiased. In one night the Rangers captured and publicly killed 1,000 noble young adults. With this came a demand; stop the war and bring a modicum of equality. Theta would never be the same as all would live conscious of The Rangers and their power to kill without challenge.

In what was called Demand Month the Rangers set out the demands of the new age; though these were not written down, they are adhered to with great respect and fear. The present was set that the Rangers would always adhere to; from then forward, they would always stand for the race and their planet, never for humanity, kindness, power, or individuality.

THE NEW AGE
The Rangers, with their new control created a semi-peace that lasted for years. Many are in dispute as to when the exact New Age begins, however many agree that the works of Doctor Shorn are fundamental to the New Age.

An outspoken genetic scientist, Dr. Shorn argued the survival of Thetians relied upon controlled reproduction. Through fear tactics, and moving speeches, he made his message known. A series of unusually well timed natural disasters, food shortages, and plagues seemed to prove his point. It is often wondered if these were accidents--or planned. Romance was forbidden, complex matrixes calculated the best possible genetic combinations, and many were sterilized. Failure to comply resulted in death--or worse. Loveless relationships based solely on survival became the norm. Slowly genetic diseases and defects were bred out of the planet and a new race was formed (to be subbed once this planet is approved); Thetians.

THE PLAGUE

When the Gulag plague swept across the galaxy, the houses of Theta wasted no time in creating a massive, planet wide lockdown. The Rangers enacted the Forward Initiative, mobilizing the planetary armada for defense. All ships from the outside were ordered to turn around. Failure to comply resulted in immediate destruction. All outsiders were rounded up and executed. Any Thetians suspected to have the plague were quarantined--then executed. It was a time of mass terror and self protection but the world survived and the Thetians rode the storm out. Many historians wonder if more died because of Theta's hard handed approach that would have from the disease itself. The Netherworld crisis shaped the planet--but in a much less positive way than would have been liked.

After the mass disappearance of the planet's civilians, taking away a sixteenth of its population, the house families sprang into action. They did not so much care about who or what was truly responsible--so much as they wanted to capitalize on the opportunity to expand their power. Unifying the planet's lower class under them, the houses demonized Force Users, drawing off age old hate for those who were seen as little more than Mystical evil beings. A witch hunt began, all who were suspect of sympathy towards the Jedi or Sith were killed. It became illegal, punishable by death, for a Force User to set foot on world. Utilizing the same ironwall that Forward Initiative had, the planet became stalwart against all Force Users or those who sympathize by them.

Notable PCs: None yet
Intent: To add a creative planet to the board and expand the Soceras System.

Looks good, just a few minor points though:

-The moons Orion and Skull have no atmosphere, which is classified as Type 4. Please change "none", to "Type 4".

-The planetary co-ordinates do not appear to be valid.

-"Plague", and "Gulag" are misspelled.

-In the Years of Blood, did the Upper or Lower class first utilise the Rangers? Please clarify.

-You mention "The Ranger" in the "Years of Blood" section. Is this the leader of the Rangers?

-The culture section implies that revolutions are common-ish. Please clarify.

I am intending to make this as an add on to this system, it says it is the second out of seven in its orbital position and I would just like to put this planet in the same system for story purposes. :)
