Discussion Year Three: What Story are you most proud of?

Jonyna's journey has been a winding one. I think I'm most proud of the fact she's sort of fallen out of love with the idea of being the perfect jedi, trying to become the grandmaster, after seeing yet another grand republic fall to political deadlock and imperial destruction.

What story has really made you happy after the fact?

(This one is way late because I forgot about it.)

 

[Kitter Bitters]

Everything Kinley does makes me chuckle. She really has a life of her own.

I’m enjoying my stories with Gwen too. She’s slowly changing from a naive young girl into a different person. Not sure what she will be when I am done but it’s fun to be a part of.

 

[Ronhar Tane]

I think Ronhar’s story has quite a ways to go, but I’d say some of my best writing came out of the second Imperial attack on Brosi, despite the failing of the campaign. Not sure if that answers the question, but dang it, I almost had that gosh darn tree!

 

[Briana Sal-Soren]

I think I'm still most proud of the story I told when I was writing in my minor faction, The Clans of Islimore, with my character Aelin Erevos . I think I got some of the most significant and meaningful stories out of those plotlines than I have out of anything else on Chaos.

That said, I'm also proud of the direction and where I've gone with Briana, as well. She started out as a spoilt and naive kid from Naboo, to becoming a battle hardened Knight whose experiences have made her all the more determined and willing to march to the beat of her own drum. As far as Force Users go, I've explored more with her than any other.

 

[Ala Quin]

Ala going from free-spirit manic pixie dream girl to being forced into the role of Grandmaster, which does not suit her at all. And all the self-doubt that comes from having to be decisive, the naysayers, the broken heartedness, trying to keep fracturing Order together. And her longing for a people that her own, a family...children. It is a lot of finding room to cry and meditate at the moment. But I have struggled for years to figure out a way for her to evolve beyond the skittish, sweet but goofy youngster, and into the mature, wise Master I knew she could be.

She is far from there yet. But having people she loves telling her she is wrong in the most hurtful ways possible, and still standing her ground, is forging a depth of character within her that goes beyond the lessons that the physical trauma's of her life has taught her.

 

[Balun Dashiell]

Balun's development as a Character has been wonderful to write out, thanks to those who have shared in his threads with me. Going from the young Force User leaving the New Jedi Order to spend years walking his own path, trying to forge a path and discover who he is as an individual, to meeting his Father -- the family in the Dashiell's -- and then meeting Ala Quin and rededicating himself to the Jedi Path, eventually attaining Knighthood. This is the very short version of his life story, but now that he's completed his training as a Padawan, he has begun to take strides to move past the emotional traumas of war and close gaps in his personal development. He still has a long way to go, at the young age of twenty-four, with a Son and the support of his family around him.

I'm feeling that perhaps his development as a character has been played out better than all of my previous characters on Chaos, honestly.

Mine is still being developed but i think he has potential
