Description: The Yōsei are an all-female biosynthetic Near-Human species that is produced exclusively by Biogenesis Laboratories. Grown via Engineered Variance Cloning in labs based on Atrisia and Kamino, the Yōsei are directly inspired by female characters in Atrisian holo-anime movies. However, their seemingly plastic nature belies the mysterious yet extensive capabilities of their minds, which are effectively organic quantum computers.

The Yōsei were originally conceived in 856 ABY by Biogenesis Laboratories, in response to the popularity of “Waifuism” in Atrisian anime fan HoloNet communities. In the same year, research and development began on merging organic quantum computing technology with the brain of a completely organic sapient being, in order to achieve the objective of synthesizing a sapient subject with a digital mind. The Yōsei project was integrated into these efforts while it was still in its concept stages. Over a year of dedicated research, Biogenesis Laboratories faced many challenges in creating an organic digital mind in a small, brain-sized package. As a result of these challenges, the project went drastically over budget and was nearly canceled before a breakthrough was made, which resulted in the first successful live specimen. In the next year, updates, tuning, and bug fixes were made to the software as it was put through its paces. Then, in 858 ABY, Biogenesis Laboratories released the Yōsei on limited sale to the public...

Their facial structure is generally delicately-shaped and soft, bearing small noses and gracefully angled features. Many individuals also possess vibrantly colored hair and eyes. As such, all specimens bear an uncanny resemblance to female characters from Atrisian holo-anime movies, as if they were fictional characters come to life. However, these traits lend them an uncanny appearance which may be terrifying to some and attractive to others.

Strengths:
Acute and Hyper Perceptive Vision: Yōsei possess a larger field of vision than Human and Near-Human eyes can achieve. Their binocular vision covers 140 degrees (horizontally) and can see an additional 60 degrees on each side via perpendicular vision. In addition, Yōsei can adapt their eyes to zoom in up to x100 magnification, allowing them to perceive external phenomena at extraordinary distances.
Engineered Beauty: The seemingly plastic comeliness of the Yōsei is rooted in their nigh-perfectly symmetrical features, massive bug-like eyes, demure features, and vibrantly colored hair. These features lend them a precisely crafted form of beauty, which has made them highly prized acquisitions for libertine Hutts seeking a living trophy doll to add to their collections.
Organic Quantum Computerized Mind: Each Yōsei possesses an extremely powerful computerized mind, which runs on the Yōsei OS 2.10.09. In essence, their minds are capable of executing complex mathematical calculations, storing data (or memories) in a file system, downloading/uploading data, executing programs, wirelessly communicating with compatible systems (including other Yōsei and individuals with cyberized brains), and connecting to the HoloNet. Given these capabilities, Yōsei have perfect memory and are generally considered to have a high level of logical-mathematical and spatial intelligence. However, Yōsei still retain the ability to sense emotions, experience dreams, utilize intuition, and learn skills via traditional methods.
Extreme Disease Resistance: Given their precisely tuned physical constitutions and ingrained augmentations, Yōsei are extremely resistant to almost all forms of disease.
Uncanny Valley: Though the Yōsei are extremely beautiful according to some perspectives, their unnaturally pulchritudinous appearance may seem terrifying to others. As such, it is not uncommon for Yōsei to attract disgust or unwanted harassment in public.
Severe Allergen Susceptibility: For unknown reasons, Yōsei specimens disproportionately suffer from severe allergies at a far higher rate than Human or Near-Human individuals. Though not all Yōsei suffer from severe allergies, most individuals have at least one or two allergens which will almost always induce a nigh-lethal immune system response upon exposure. These may include allergies to dairy, nuts, fish, eggs, various common household pets, and in extremely rare cases, bacta or kolto.
Unimposing and Weak Physicality: Yōsei are generally short-statured and are almost always weaker than Human or Near-Human females. Regardless, they generally make poor fighters. However, their digital minds give them many distinct advantages in combat which arguably make up for their physical limitations.
Mind Slicing: Provided that an attacker has expertise and extensive knowledge in organic computing systems, it is possible for a Yōsei’s mind to be hacked by an exceptionally skilled slicer, in spite of the many encryption protocols, reduncies, and anti-slicing security systems which are embedded in their software. Generally, most attempts at hacking the mind of Yōsei will fail, but the terrifying possibility of their mind being hacked is an extremely disconcerting one for almost all Yōsei individuals.

Since most individuals are sold into slavery (or some form of servitude) immediately after creation, they tend to assume the characteristics of their masters or other individuals who they might “latch” onto for guidance. In spite of their digital minds, Yōsei outwardly behave more like humans than droids and they do not have droid-like mannerisms, though they are arguably a form of organic gynoid.
