DESCRIPTION

The XL-7B Communications Satellite is Moonveil’s state-of-the-art Communications Relay, and a vital part of their 3-Phase Orbital Comms Network. These highly versatile relays are designed to orbit over individual planets & moons, supporting surface-based communications hardware & allowing all manner of data to be broadcast over vast distances. Each satellite's transmissions & functions may be monitored by Moonveil-trained Technicians to ensure efficiency & reliability. Each XL-7B must be installed with the assistance of a tractor-beam equipped vessel, then programmed to link directly with both terrestrial Communications platforms as well as other satellites in orbit. Attitude Thrusters enable the onboard positioning system to track & self-correct while in orbit, maintaining proper orientation and adjusting to minute changes.

While the XL-7B’s may operate as subspace relays, transmitting data across the Galaxy, speed & efficiency is not guaranteed; these satellites operate best when linked directly with ground-based Communications Hardware (such as the GC-011 Planetary Broadcast Tower). For dedicated Pan-Galactic broadcasting, Moonveil recommends their Emissary-Class Satellite which serves as an extremely powerful & versatile System-wide Communications Hub.
