ADVANCED SYSTEMS

- Warship: The Xer possesses a powerful armament for its relatively small size, at least in relation to larger warships like the Harrower.
- Escort: While capable of operating on its own, the Xer works best when paired with its sibling vessel, the Xim-class Star Battlecruiser, as a support ship.
- Bridge Tower: Typical of Imperial designs, the Xer's bridge tower is quite obvious.
- Rear Blind Spot: Not many of the warship's weapons cover the area right behind the engines, or even the rear in general. Rear attacks are often expected, and other ships are moved to defend this blind spot.
- No Hangar: The Xer lacks a ventral hangar bay much like the larger Ascendant and Xim class vessels. The ship could seemingly only rely on its own exterior ordnance, as the Xer appeared to be unable to carry any starfighters or ground vehicles internally.
The relationship between the Tion Cluster and the Empires of the Sith have always been one of mutual cooperation, pro-Imperial sentiments running rampant throughout the territory of the Tionese. When the Old Empire fell and the Silver Jedi occupied the Eastern Territories, the Tionese were forced to silence their most vocal Imperialist sympathies in order to avoid persecution at the hands of the Jedi and their armies. Yet, even under the yoke of the Jedi did not diminish their loyalty.
When the Silver Jedi were forced from the region, the Tionese rejoiced at being finally liberated from those who openly derided their Tionese Laws and Tionese Ways. It made natural sense to then seek a renewed alliance with the nascent Sith Empire that had driven them off, and so the representatives of the Santhe and Sienar families met with the Dark Lord of the Sith to secure an alliance.
In return the Empire helped design and construct a series of Star Destroyers that would exclusively guard and patrol the Tion Cluster against pirates, brigands, and Jedi sympathizers alike. The second of these warships was the Xer-class Star Destroyer, named after the father of Xim the Despot, Xer VIII. In life Xer had formed the legendary Kingdom of Cron by conquering its capital of Chandaar and establishing himself as the new king.
Operating on a similar design basis as the Xim-class, the Xer was highly weaponized and powerful. It possessed no hangar bays, but easily made up for that in destructive capability; especially when paired with the larger and even more powerful Xim-class Battlecruiser.
