FDKJNwx.jpeg

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Intent:
To signify the religion and cult that Kaelyr propagates and expands in his endeavors, as it is an ancient religion created by a primordial dark side entity of destruction, evolution, and conquest. This is to establish the cult and belief system of the Will of the Vehement Sun and those a part of this group, as well as the purpose of the cult and its goals, such as seeing that the strong achieve self-mastery, conquering weakness, renewal through destruction, evolution from stagnation, and delving deep into the mysteries and forbidden knowledge of the Dark Side of the Force.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Hierarchy:

The Ascended Sun Is regarded as the living manifestation of Yggdrakses's will. His word is considered divine law, and questioning him is essentially blasphemy.
The Vehement LordsA council of the cult's most powerful servants. & confidants. They oversee the major aspects of the cult: military conquest, religious doctrine, Sith sorcery, intelligence, elite warriors, evolutionary experimentation, and the preservation of cult knowledge & traditions.
The Solar MagistersPowerful sorcerer-knights who practice the cult's combination of dark-side abilities, solar magic, and forbidden transformation. They act as the ruling lords of conquered territories seized through holy campaigns and acquisitions.
The AshenOrdinary followers and initiates of the Will. However, the hierarchy is intentionally designed so that advancement is possible. An Ashen can rise through the ranks by proving their strength and surviving increasingly brutal trials. The fundamental philosophy is that no one is entitled to their position—they must continually prove that they deserve it. In the Will of the Vehement Sun, the hierarchy isn't simply a chain of command; it is a furnace designed to burn away weakness and forge something greater.

Membership: Membership is rather easy, as one must acknowledge that the Yggdrakses' will is law, and swear to burn away their weakness, striving to improve themselves no matter what, as stagnation is a cardinal sin.

Climate:
The Will of the Vehement Sun is a cult built around the worship of Yggdrakses, the Cosmic Flame of Conquest, Evolution, and Destruction. Its culture combines Sith philosophy and warrior tradition. Society is highly hierarchical, but advancement is possible through talent, ambition, military achievement, Force mastery, and Sith scholarship. Power is considered a responsibility and a measure of one's potential, while stagnation is viewed as the greatest personal failure.

At the top is the Ascended Sun, seen as a God-King given in flesh. Knowledge is treated as another form of power, so the Vehement Sun encourages the study of Sith alchemy, Force sorcery, science, engineering, medicine, astronomy, and forbidden techniques. Children are called Sparks and are trained from an early age to discover and develop their abilities, with exceptional individuals encouraged to surpass their teachers and ancestors.

Surprisingly, family, rivalry, and ambition are deeply intertwined within the cult and society as a whole. Genuine affection exists, but relationships often carry competitive dimensions. Rivals are respected because they force one another to improve, while failure is acceptable so long as it produces growth. The ideal citizen possesses strength, ambition without vanity, discipline without stagnation, and power tempered by purpose & ruthlessness. The strongest are expected to lead their communities and use their abilities to strengthen the cult rather than indulge in pointless frivolities.

The worship of Yggdrakses & his Ascended Sun permeates everyday life. Temples of Yggdrakses resemble immense Sith cathedrals filled with black stone, crimson fire, violet light, imagery of their dark sun god, and its symbol of the eclipsed sun. The faithful believe that conquest, destruction, and evolution are necessary parts of cosmic existence & dominion. Conquered peoples may retain their cultures and traditions if they accept the authority & doctrine of the Vehement Sun and demonstrate that they can contribute to its future. You do not necessarily have to be born beneath the Sun to belong to it—you simply have to prove you can withstand its fire and evolve.

Yet beneath this sophisticated civilization lies its greatest danger. The Vehement Sun can justify almost anything in the name of evolution and strength: political manipulation becomes strategy, tyranny becomes order, experimentation becomes progress, conquest becomes civilization, and destruction becomes necessary renewal. Its people can be loving, educated, artistic, loyal, and genuinely compassionate while simultaneously believing that civilizations which refuse to evolve deserve to be destroyed. That contradiction is at the heart of the Vehement Sun: it does not teach its people to be monsters—it teaches them to believe that those strong enough to shape the future have the right to decide what deserves to survive.

Reputation: Was once the living testament of power and way of life as well as the theological authority in the origin star system of Yggdrakses. Is mostly believed to be a remnant of what it once was.
Curios: To be discovered/added IC
Rules: Their rules are seen as cardinal sins if one breaks them:
  • Stagnation is unforgivable
  • Betrayal is unforgivable
  • Blasphemy is a death sentence
  • Failure to evolve and ascend beyond one's own limitations is a death sentence
Goals: To spread the will of the Dark god to the worthy, and enact his will in the material plane.
