  • Classification: Administrative Corps
  • Affiliation: Agents of Chaos, The Wild Hunt
  • Organization Symbol: The official sigil of the Wild Hunt Speed Corps is that of the Symbol of Chaos, with eight speeder bike depictions placed along the eight radial arrows.
  • Description: The Wild Hunt Speed Corps are an administrative corps of the Wild Hunt, specializing in land and airspeeder-based combat, typically fulfilling the duties of maneuver warfare reconnaissance-in-force, and rapid response, utilizing fast speeders and swoop craft to overwhelm enemy formations via shock and disruption. They also engage in air superiority operations and as such are generally considered to be the rough equivalent of a Starfighter Corps, albeit specializing in atmospheric and ground-based speeders. In receiving the bulk of their funding and support from the Wild Hunt, the Speed Corps are subject to the authority of the Aspect Council. However, as the founder of the organization, the Aspect of Devotion exerts the most influence over its affairs.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: Promotions within the Wild Hunt Speed Corps are rewarded based on merit, leadership ability, and more rarely, depending on the recipient’s occupational speciality, performance in battle. While the Aspect of Devotion is the founder and informal leader of the Speed Corps, she does not hold rank in the organization. Of those who hold rank, the highest officers are the Regents. Much like the ancient Flight Barons, this title is only awarded to those who demonstrate exceptional skill and bravery in battle on a consistent basis, with a secondary emphasis on leadership ability. As such, it is possible for exceptionally skilled pilots to receive this title from the enlisted ranks, though it has never happened in the branch’s short history.
    • Enlisted Ranks
      • Speed Cadet
      • Speed Pilot Fourth Class │ Speed Technician Fourth Class
      • Speed Pilot Third Class │ Speed Technician Third Class
      • Speed Pilot Second Class │ Speed Technician Second Class
      • Speed Pilot First Class │ Speed Technician First Class
    • Officer Ranks
      • Speed Pilot Officer │ Speed Technician Officer
      • Speed Pilot Lieutenant │ Speed Technician Lieutenant
      • Speed Pilot Commander │ Speed Technician Commander
      • Speed Pilot Regent/Regina │ Speed Technician Overseer
  • Membership: Most members of the Wild Hunt Speed Corps are recruited or pulled from the ranks of various criminal swoop gangs in the Scintilla. To that end, apprehended swoop gangsters, especially those with a history of illegal skylane racing, are often given sentences of mandatory service in the Speed Corps in restitution for their crimes. In addition, individuals are also recruited via more traditional means. These include volunteer enlistees from the streets and synthesized EVCs who choose to fulfill their mandatory term of service with the Speed Corps. However, given the diverse methods of recruitment, there are multiple training courses that are tailored to the requirements of different trainees. For ex-gangsters, initiation involves a number of sessions where past affiliations with criminal gangs are “cleansed”, often via religious confession. These also include mandatory cosmetic alteration procedures to remove gang-affiliated body modifications, even those of a more “permanent” nature, which are typically regenerated via cloned tissue. Apart from these sessions, ex-swoop gangsters and illegal racers typically go through an abbreviated version of the standard swoop or speeder piloting course, given their already-extensive speeder piloting experience. However, all recruits to the Speed Corps, no matter their past affiliation, must also pass the Wild Hunt basic training activities before undergoing advanced combat speeder/swoop pilot or technician training. Upon their graduation from speeder/swoop pilot or technician training, new members maintain the rank of Speed Cadet for a period of six months or until after their first sortie, whichever comes first. From there, they are considered to be full members of the Speed Corps, formally and informally referred to as “Speedsters”. As of 860 ABY, there are over eight hundred Speedsters in the Speed Corps.
  • Climate: As a military organization, the Wild Hunt Speed Corps maintains at least a semi-disciplined atmosphere at all times. Members are expected to behave professionally, wear the uniform while on-duty, and obey orders from superior officers.
  • Reputation: The reputation of the Wild Hunt Speed Corps is very mixed, with many perceiving them to be little more than a militarized daredevil swoop gang, while others view them in a more positive, albeit still-disparaging light as a group of “reformed gangsters”. However, the worst opinions of the Speed Corps are typically held by those who are critical of the worship of Discordia. As the founder of the Speed Corps, the Aspect of Devotion has incorporated her faith into the branch to an extreme, anti-secular extent. While the worship of Discordia is not strictly mandatory for Speedsters, in practice, the corps heavily integrates the Aspect’s faith into its training activities, with compulsory services, confessionals, conversion events, and Masses dedicated to Discordia. As such, pro-secular groups tend to view the Speed Corps as a dangerous formation, responsible for the proliferation of the Discordian faith in the secular organs of the government and military of the Agents of Chaos.
  • Curios: Upon their first day of training, all prospective members receive a paper copy of the holy text of Discordia, in addition to the standardized uniform of the Wild Hunt Speed Corps and other items of a standard issue kit. Speeders and/or swoops are assigned to pilots after training, which they are permitted to modify to a limited extent, as long as the work is signed off by a senior technician. Beyond that, ex-gangsters in the Speed Corps are often defined by their lack of gang-affiliated body modifications, often making them appear particularly distinct in the presence of their former criminal associates. For this reason, ex-gangsters generally find it very difficult, if not impossible to maintain relationships with their old gangs.
  • Rules: In combat, the Wild Hunt Speed Corps adhere at all times to a strict interpretation of the rules of engagement, generally dictating that they utilize proportional force, ensure the safety of civilians in a combat zone, and minimize collateral damage. Within the Speed Corps, all personnel are expected to obey orders from superior officers. In comparison to other military organizations, especially those of an imperialist affiliation, their rules are somewhat more lax, allowing personnel a relatively high degree of self-expression in uniform. While the Speed Corps mandates the removal of all gang-affiliated body modifications, individuals are still allowed to maintain most other forms of body art and alteration, so long as they are not linked to any criminal organizations.
  • Goals: As a military branch linked to the Wild Hunt, and by extension, the Agents of Chaos, the Wild Hunt Speed Corps are ultimately intended to serve Discordia and her divine mission in toppling interstellar empires to bring about “peaceful chaos”. However, the Speed Corps are also an anti-crime organization, assuming the role of a rehabilitator, but also an executioner in taking down criminal elements. Poised to take on a significant role in handling the Scintilla’s gang epidemic, the Speed Corps present unique solutions to a lingering crisis in their dual praxis of rehabilitation and retribution.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Founded by Hanna, the Wild Hunt Speed Corps were initially conceived during the early stages of the gang crisis within the Scintilla. In witnessing the proliferation of swoop gangs and other criminal elements associated with the growing criminal activity in the urban spheres, Hanna utilized her new authority as a member of the Aspect Council to establish the Speed Corps as a means to set the members of these illicit organizations on what she believed to be a meaningful path of devotion and service, especially after their apprehension by the authorities. In addition to the rehabilitative aims of the Speed Corps, their practical purpose was to support a new doctrine of maneuver warfare incorporated into the offensive operations of the Wild Hunt, which were shown to be deficient during many previous engagements. To these ends, Hanna recruited a number of speeder aces on a contractual basis and from the Wild Hunt to set the groundwork for the branch, utilizing their expertise to develop a comprehensive training program for the initial classes of recruits. Within a few months, this stage was complete and the Speed Corps took on their first class of recruits, which included a number of ex-gangsters, synthesized EVCs, and transfers from the primary branch of the Wild Hunt. From there, the Speed Corps developed into a large, self-sustaining administrative corps, with a constant flow of recruits and funding to support its operations.

Hey this is a pretty detailed submission there are just a couple of things.

No. 1. IMAGE CREDIT

The link you have provided includes other images which are definitely not of the PG-13 variety, so I am going to have to ask that you not use this link to conform with both codex guidelines and site rules.

Also, I could not find the actual image you linked from imgur, which imgur links are not typically accepted either. If you could provide a proper image credit for that also it would be appreciated.

No. 2 ASSPECT OF DEVOTION

This is more a question. Here you link to a particular character, and I am wondering if that was intentional. I must admit that confused me a bit. If you could let me know or clarify that would be awesome. It won't hold up approval or anything. This just me not understanding.
