When You Let Things Happen Organically . . . [Fringe]

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
Though Valik was considerably more freelance than he used to be, ultimately when governments were made and alliances were drawn, Valik called the Fringe his home. Moreso because he liked their leader than anything else, but also because they had a wide variety of interesting species and cultures, unaffected by traditional 'modernization', both in a social and technological sense.

The classic example used to be the Ssi-Ruuk, a species that developed widely different stun technology and had ways of technologically sucking the life out beings. That place had recently been taken however, by the Yuuzhan Vong, a culture that did not use technology, but rather grew it biologically. Rather effectively, if the rumors were true, as apparently the species had created materials resistant to lightsabers and creatures capable of traversing hyperspace while housing their species.

Quite simply, the opportunities proved too much for Valik. A new scientific field to explore, a new army to try to revolutionize. Thus, he assembled some men of various different positions and titles and brought himself to the Yuuzhan Vong world Zenoma Sekot, to try to learn the secrets of 'Shaping', and to try to figure out what new toys he could put in the right, or perhaps the wrong, hands.

Haven had been on the world of Zanoma Sekot for a few days now and since she had roamed the country side she had allowed her mind to roam while she waited for the others to arrive, they were to fool with the Yuuzhan Vong on the planet and make them into test subjects or something, whatever reason they were here was still unknown to her but nonetheless she signed on to do a job and that she would end up getting done.

As she roamed she wore her usual tight form fitting leather pants, with her black and pink corset tank top and high heeled knee high boots with her usual fingerless studded gloves and her hair was done up in a pony tail to get it from her face just in case something would go wrong and they'd need to charge into battle. As she roamed she smirked at the horizon and watched as the sun came up due to the earliness of the day and waited for her cohorts to arrive on planet.

Sargon found himself on security detail once again. To some security detail might seem boring and a bit prosaic but he had began to learn nothing was prosaic in the Fringe. So it was he ended up with his squad of legionnaire aboard yet another scientific mission headed to the Yuuzhan Vong's Zenoma Sekot. Simply saying it put his tongue in a small knot, but he was going there all the same.

He was starting to take it as a compliment to find himself dragged throughout the galaxy on various missions of importance. Perhaps he was starting to make a name for himself inside the Fringe, or perhaps his legionnaire ID number was bugged in the computer. He liked to think the first but in truth you never knew. If it was the second though he'd take it anyway, it had kept life interesting lately.

His objectives were to reach Zenoma Sekot and contact a man named Valik. He was then to assist in anyway possible and provide a protection detail for the science team while they were doing their scientific stuff. Sargon didn't know a thing about the project, but if it was a military project that would save his hide one day he was more then happy to help.

They were set to arrive in Zenoma Sekot space shortly, and as per his routine Sargon had his squad going through their equipment. He wasn't sure what the situation was like on the planet, nor what was going to be required of him from Valik. What he did believe in was a high degree of preparation would usually see them through anything. As such their armor seals had been checked, oxygen tanks filled, and they had stocked up on various different grenades. As they were going on inside Fringe space they each carried a stun baton for use with any dissidence.

As the alarm went off announcing their exit from hyperspace Sargon took his first look at Zenoma Sekot. It was beautiful and yet completely bizarre to his eyes. The northern pole seemed to be a tropical paradise. Sealing his helmet onto his suit he joined his squad as the pilots called for landing instructions.

Lucien stood in the lounge of his star yacht He had been called to Zenoma Sekot to assist Dr. Valik. His last mission here had left he wet and wounded after talking with the planet,He hoped that wouldn't happen again.Beside him stood his valet "Arm M'lord" Lucien raised his right arm as his valet put his cufflinks into the shirt.Lucien raised his left arm as his valet helped him into his cream suit jacket.

The ship sunk onto the ground of Zenoma Sekot and Lucien steppe out into the thick humid air "Hello again" He said to the planet. He moved to lean against a tree and waited.

Zaiden stood near @[member="Lucien Cordel"], hidden from sight, training his skill in Force cloak yet again, for no apparent reason. He awaited the others he had heard would accompany @[member="Valik"]. Yawning silently, Zaiden stared down at the planet. It was so odd, the thing was alive. He had hears of it, but never had the opportunity to see it. Not sure he fully comprehended the fact, Zaiden just continued to try and wrap h is mind around it.

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
Valik arrived at the Yuuzhan Vong world, a strange environment to say the least. The planet itself was alive, and Valik could feel it in the Force, but besides that he felt nearly nothing. He felt the presence of a Forcer or two, strong but not masters yet, and a squadron of soldiers, normally not notable, at least not in the Force, but their mere existence in the empty plain made them recognizable.

He watched as he was joined by the Governor of Zaadja @[member="Lucien Cordel"], who seemed keen to greeting the planet directly. He wondered how the planet perceived such small entities, what it was like to live as a planet, supporting so many lives, an ecosystem at once. Hell, he wondered how he could corrupt and alter an entire planet, what horrors he could unleash. Soon the two were joined by a ponytailed blonde dressed in black and pink leather. She seemed to know her way around the area, perhaps she'd been here before.

"I take it you know you're way around here." He said, referring to @[member="Haven Pryde"]. "Can you escort the Governor here and myself to the shaper's enclave?" He said. "Although, I suppose my security will be here soon." He said, referring to @[member="Sargon Vynea"]'s squad. "Still, I'd like to get to work as soon as possible."

Valik didn't know @Zaiden James-Grayson was hovering the planet ready to come soon, but he'd welcome the man's company. He could join the group if he landed soon.

Before the others could depart, Zaiden finally revealed himself and stepped forward, "Master @[member="Valik"], it is an honor to finally meet you. I have heard many things about you during my travels across the cosmos. Thus I wish to come along on this journey I had caught word of. If nothing else but to say I was with you on a grand adventure. As well, I know everyone else. Having met on the battle field, most are rather acquainted here."

Haven Pryde

Haven had come for the simple fact she was request to be here and since the fringe turned their back on her at tattooine she felt no duty or responsibility to be here, so as she met with this sith master @[member="Valik"] she noted his question and went directly in sarcasm Can a dragon fly? it was more of a witty retort than anything and she smirked at him as she said it and brushed her hair from her face and then looked at the others and commented on his question to her.

I came here years ago, I still know the terrain so I can escort you through it, follow me gentlemen she replied and then walked off without waiting knowing they'd follow her, besides she was one of the best with recon and stealth and due to her training she never left a track when she walked, it was more a habit than a training requirement or achievement.

"Lord Valik It is a pleasure to see you again" said then Zaiden appeared "Ah yet another of my empire freinds Lord Zaiden I hope life is treating you well..." Then Haven retorted "Lady Pryde it is an honour to watch you mind work" He smirked as he followed after her the last time he was here he almost drowned he hoped that he could avoid doing so this time.

Sargon's squad landed about a mile off his objective the Sith Lord Valik. He was to supply close support and security for the man, and with a little luck maybe learn something. ::Lord Valik, this is Optio Sargon. My squad is currently traveling to your destination, and will arrive shortly.:: Normally he'd have done jog to get to the site faster but his HUD was busy flipping through every piece of data he could find on the planet. He could only assume someone had sliced into the holonetwork and corrupted the information. It said the planet was alive.

Shaking his head he decided he'd have to get it reported later and have his HUD checked out. "Squad, lets pick up the pace." Since there was obviously at least some corrupted data he couldn't trust any of it. He had eyes though and he knew how to prepare. They arrived at the group within ten, a good pace through the trees. A few of his members were breathing heavy, and he simply mentally made a note to run some more drills. "Lord Valik, Optio Sargon reporting for protection detail. How can we be of service?"

OOC: Very sorry. Got caught up in the dominion, tournament of sabers, and other stuff, and forget to get a post out here.

IC:

Valik followed the catty woman as she went along, keeping her steps light and leaving little, if any trail for someone to follow other than the blonde's physical presence, before turning to @[member="Zaiden James-Greyson"].

"An interesting trick. Rather useful I'd imagine. I'd recommend hiding your Force Signature the next time you try it however. Merely cloaking your body from the physical eye, and even it's sounds is not enough for some." He said, before turning the Governor of Zaadja @[member="Lucien Cordel"].

"Thank you Lucien. How is management at Zaadja going? Any interesting developments?" He said to the man, before @[member="Sargon Vynea"] arrived with his squadron of troops, a bit tired by the looks of them. Probably needed a bit more PT.

"Set up a perimeter around us, following the huntress down there." He said, pointing to @[member="Haven Pryde"]. "She'll be escorting us to the labs of the Yuuzhan Vong Shapers, and we should be arriving soon." He said, examining his surroundings, yet still feeling blind. The absence of the Force in the Yuuzhan Vong was . . . odd to one so immersed in it as he, but there were so many potentials to be had. Besides, he had things to learn, animals to re-structure to suit his and the Fringe's needs. It would be a good day, as building something new always had it's funs.

Zaiden smiled and nodded, "To do so, is quite the feat. I am working on that strenuously. What are our initial plans for entry?" Zaiden asked, as he felt it best to go into a situation with a level head. It was not difficult to see the advantages with diddling in Yuuzhan Vong genetics to find out why they effected the force the way they did. Thus he knew the main goals, but from now until then was anyone's guess.

@[member="Valik"]

Sargon nodded to @[member="Valik"] and set his men to forming up a mobile perimeter with a hand gesture. Giving a quick salute to Legate @[member="Zaiden James-Greyson"] he moved his way up to the front to @[member="Haven Pryde"] to give himself the best vantage point for their forward progress. His squad of men were all hooked into his security HUD giving him the opportunity to check through them as he moved forward. Staying just behind @[member="Haven Pryde"] Sargon kept his blaster rifle at the ready Sargon simply observed. He wasn't sure what they were looking for and what they were doing, but he didn't need to. He was just here to kill anything that was dangerous. Well that wasn't true, he knew what they were after, but he didn't know what a shaper was so he supposed it be an informative trip.

Looking ahead Sargon opened a comm channel back to @[member="Valik"] ::Lord Valik, the mobile perimeter is up. I'd also like to note I believe there may be a problem in the holonet, my information read this planet as sentient. I'm not sure if its a simple bug, or if its been hacked, but either way the information is obviously corrupted::

"Things are going well the prison services is in constant use but the people are beginning to learn, However there is nothing of real interested I do belive factory productivity has increased but this was to be expected" He smiled as he moved along through the undergrowth. Then sargon said something interesting Lucien replied immediately "Your information is correct this planet is sentient ... I have been on the receiving end of it's upset" Lucien continued to move forward he was curious about these Labs perhaps he could find some nice things for his lovely subjects.
