Darth Abyss
Eldritch
Edge of Metal Lord Space, Ship Graveyard
For weeks Abyss and his eyes had waited in the broken ships that once found their end in small battle between the empire and careless pirates that thought themselves save so deep within the endless nothingness of space. Their failure was still able to be seen, as marked by the myriad of pirate ships that drifted around the remains of one imperial Interdictor-class Star Destroyer in their midst. From there they had watched ships travel in and out of metal lord space, most importantly cargo ships of a size unlike anything the other current factions of the galaxy called upon. They hadn't managed to figure out what exactly these ships where hauling, but even the vessel itself would bring a small fortune on the black market.
In the weeks that passed by Abyss had carefully planned out his trap. Some of his best engineers willing to work deep in the vacuum of space had begun with makeshift repairs to the gravity well projector of the Star Destroyer. Initially testing had shown that they had little over ten minutes to keep it running, before the fickle energy situation would lead to an emergency shut down. Besides that their back up plan was running on limited time as well, as it consisted of 25 Pitfall droids placed in the wrecks around, waiting for their timer to run out and activate them. They would go dormant the second the well kicked in, but the later their target would come, the less useful they would be as a diversion. That meant that timing was the key to the whole plan.
The plan itself wasn't anything fancy. For once a direct solution was the only one really viable, and so Abyss had gathered both his right hand man [member="Causstik Rahn"], as well as his hired guns, [member="Formorta"], [member="Arador Kahn"] and [member="Krueger"], on board of his Phasma-Class Infiltrator. It was no army, but a strike team. He had told them beforehand to pack the biggest gun they could find, as they would be blasting their way through the ship once the gravity well would pull it from hyperspace. If they had nothing of such firepower they were also given a Ghostmaker Acid Launcher, a weapon quite useful when forcefully entering a ship.
Darth Abyss himself rested in the back of the small stealth vessel which remained cloaked for now, his legs crossed and his hollow body shrouded by arcane smoke. Some of those gifted with the force could predict the course of enemy ships with almost perfect precision, but Abyss had never learned to do it without more tools, tools that didn't found place inside the small ship. Instead he had to settle for a less precise version, and use his foresight to make sure that the cargo ship wouldn't simply slip through before of after the the well had been activated.
"Now."
Abyss pushed a single button on his comm, sending a signal towards the wrecks around them. Now it was up to the enemy if his plan would be crowned by success.
