CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
CORROX CENTRAL PLAZA
MAHPOREEM

In all honesty, this was probably a terrible idea.

Ronhar paced up and down the line of the All Terrain Cargo Transporters that had been assembled at the request of Jolly Walker Jolly Walker and his rather nefarious organization. The head purveyor of the infamous "Galactic Black Market", Walker had contact Ronhar with a rather unusual offer: an agreement to host his black market activities on Mahporeem in exchange for logistical and mechanical support of his operations. At a glance, it truly did seem like a foolish and dangerous idea, considering that the black market was full of Sith artifacts of dubious origin, artifacts that were sure to cause trouble for Mahporeem and the people of the planet, not to mention the many illicit substances that the black market just happened to have for sale.

And yet, as dangerous as these items were, they were also correspondingly powerful, perhaps even powerful enough to shift the balance of power in the sector toward the Imperial Remnant. Having access to these items, and a steady supply of them, would enable Mahporeem to flex its military and political might even more so that it already was, and might even give the Imperial Remnant the impetus it needed to begin conquering other systems or attracting new allies to its banner.

These days, Mahporeem needed all the allies it could get.

So, despite their misgivings, the Imperial Remnant had agreed to host a meeting with Jolly Walker Jolly Walker on the planet, to better understand just what type of support he needed and to inspect his various items and wares firsthand, so that the Imperial Remnant could see just exactly what Walker was planning on bringing into the Imperial Remnant. Depending on what he had, Mahporeem might even wish to acquire some of his wares for themselves, and there were plenty of items in his inventory list that had piqued the Imperial Remnant's interest. The question was, of course, if Walker would be willing to part with those items, especially if he was to have an ongoing business relationship with the Imperial Remnant moving forward.

Still, Ronhar wasn't taking any chances, which is why he had brought a platoon of Junktroopers and Stormwookiees with him, along with a trio of Junkyard Knights, who would be able to ascertain the value of certain force imbued items that Ronhar and the rest of his men would have no idea how to appraise. The Wookiees would be useful for lifting and carrying particularly heavy objects, while the Junktroopers would hopefully be able to contain any problems that might arise, or at least give Ronhar enough time to deal with any problems that could come from handling such dangerous and exotic goods.

Now, all Ronhar had to do was wait for Jolly Walker Jolly Walker to land, with a landing pad having been prepped for his arrival nearby, though still far enough to ensure that he would need a least a 10 minute trip to the meeting site. Should things get out of hand, Ronhar wanted to make sure that Walker couldn't just run back to his ship and escape, leaving Mahporeem to clean up any mess he might make. No, should something go wrong, Walker would be forced to deal with it, and assist in solving any issues that might arise from the goods he brought.

.....yeah, this really was a terrible idea. But it was now or never, and the Imperial Remnant wanted even more power now. Whether or not the cost would be worth it remained to be seen...

Master of the Hyperspace Seas

The hazy clouds of Mahporeem began to part as the rumbling of ion drives grew louder.

A lone transport shuttle was the first to appear, quickly followed by half a squadron of TIE/SK starfighters. All seven ships were locked onto the array of landing platforms that laid ahead. The faint outline of the AT-CTs could be made out from the shuttle's viewport. It looked as if the Imperial Remnant were holding up their end of the deal...so far.

The pirate had not been in control of the Black Market for very long. Pyrrah Tae, the former head marketeer and leader of The Exchange, was terminated on Hoth when evacuating a storehouse. Threats of the Sith prompted this evacuation. All of the goods were recovered and placed into the hands of Bodan as a contingency plan. Jolly Walker, the Quartermaster of The Exchange, was now in charge of the syndicate, serving underneath Bodan. The pirate's private schemes were building up the criminal organization's power once again to take it back from the old man. But for now, his connections to the Imperial Remnant, along with Rohnar's, would prevent this coup advancement from progressing.

In high orbit, a Quasar Fire-class Light Carrier sat idly, flanked by two Sepulcher-class Strike Carriers. If the partnership were to be confirmed, the Quasar would touch down planetside, loading up the walkers. But for now, they waited.

Hisses emitted from all sets of landing gear as the small convoy of ships touched down. He saw the imposing man standing there with an array of soldiers accompanying. Smart. The back shuttle hatch slowly opened as Jolly walked down, shadowed by mercenaries of various species.

"Ah...Mr. Tane. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Crossing his arm across his chest, Jolly offered a half bow of greeting.

"I must say, this is quite the planet you have. Sure to be a fine place if our operations were to partner."

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
CORROX CENTRAL PLAZA
MAHPOREEM

It seemed that this Jolly Walker Jolly Walker was truly a man and alien just full of surprises.

Before he had even broken atmosphere, Mahporeenian comms were abuzz with descriptions of the starfighters and capital ships that were accompanying him. A half squadron of TIE/SK starfighters of all things were escorting his shuttle, as a Quasar Fire-class Light Carrier and two Sepulcher-class Strike Carriers held position around Mahporeem's orbit. It was a hell of an escort for a "business deal", Ronhar thought, though given the nature of the cargo being transported to the planet, such heavy security was entirely understandable, though unnecessary, as the Imperial Remnant was more than prepared to ensure a smooth transfer of goods to and from the planet.

In response, a single Impressor-class Acclamator and a Disruptor-class Ion Cannon Carrier began shadowing the capital ships that Jolly Walker Jolly Walker had brought with him. Large enough to easily overpower his vessels but not so intimidating that they would run off at the sight of them, the Mahporeenian strike team was prepared to deal with any situation that might arise from Walker's visit, whether that meant disabling his ships before they had a chance to flee, or destroying them outright should the situation call for it.

As Walker's shuttle and escorts broke through the clouds of Mahporeem's atmosphere, a full squadron of X3-A Strikers and a single TIE/ew flew out to meet them, directing them to the nearest landing zone without incident. It touched down, and after a few minutes, Walker and his men came into sight.

"Ah...Mr. Tane. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I must say, this is quite the planet you have. Sure to be a fine place if our operations were to partner."

Ronhar nearly gave a chuckle at the phrase "fine planet" as anyone who had been on Mahporeem for more than a few hours would surely change their mind after witnessing all the salvage and debris sitting around the planet. Still, at least he was attempting some form of flattery, and Ronhar was only sure that the crime lord would only try to manipulate him more the longer the meeting went on. That was too be expected, of course. But regardless, this meeting would be all for naught if Walker couldn't deliver on his promises, and Ronhar was quite eager to inspect whatever it was that he had brought with him.

"No need for theatrics, Mr. Walker", Ronhar replied curtly as his men took position around him. "We need not get ahead of ourselves. I'm sure you, just like I, am rather eager to begin negotiations about the future of your 'business endeavors'. They'll be plenty of time to celebrate after we've come to an arrangement. For now, however, I'd like to see the wares that you've brought with you, and then we can talk in a more appropriate setting."

Master of the Hyperspace Seas

It came as no surprise that ships of the Imperial's own met the pirate's.

The cybernetic implant within Jolly's ear connected him with his crew in orbit. The man was informed that the Impressor-class Acclamator and the Disruptor-class Ion Cannon Carrier were shadowing his own micro fleet. Understandable. A man of his infamy would garner an audience like this quite easily.

Ronhar's stern and stoic character was not hard to understand after only a few minutes. When you have been in this business for as long as Jolly had, all people start to fall into certain archetypes. It's what allowed the man to become such a master negotiator. Yet as cocky as he was, he knew the right time and place to flaunt his cards. Snapping his fingers, a droid began to make its way towards the group. In front of it was a hover-cart carrying the requested items.

"Very well Mr. Tane, as you wish."

The droid pushed the cart right next to Jolly, leaving it there once it was parallel to the man. Two crates were resting there, both locked by a datapad code. Placing his hand on the screen, a green line scanned his palm before quickly unlocking. Offering a sly smile, the pirate reached into the first crate, lifting out a shining garment.

"The Tashai Coat of Coins. Multiple millennia old and ripe with Sith alchemy. The perfect armor piece for the greatest duelists around."

Setting the coat back into the open crate, Jolly reached his hand into the second box, lifting out a triangular device.

"The Wayfinder of Riches. I was a part of the crew that acquired these on a Sith depo raid. Powerful little navigators that lead to stashhouses full of treasure. This is one of the last remaining wayfinders that leads to an unlooted collection, so you are in luck."

Placing the wayfinder back into the crate, the pirate turned his attention back to the man. Jolly, so far, had held up his end of the deal. Now it was time for Ronhar.
