CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
CORROX CENTRAL PLAZA
MAHPOREEM

In all honesty, this was probably a terrible idea.

Ronhar paced up and down the line of the All Terrain Cargo Transporters that had been assembled at the request of Jolly Walker Jolly Walker and his rather nefarious organization. The head purveyor of the infamous "Galactic Black Market", Walker had contact Ronhar with a rather unusual offer: an agreement to host his black market activities on Mahporeem in exchange for logistical and mechanical support of his operations. At a glance, it truly did seem like a foolish and dangerous idea, considering that the black market was full of Sith artifacts of dubious origin, artifacts that were sure to cause trouble for Mahporeem and the people of the planet, not to mention the many illicit substances that the black market just happened to have for sale.

And yet, as dangerous as these items were, they were also correspondingly powerful, perhaps even powerful enough to shift the balance of power in the sector toward the Imperial Remnant. Having access to these items, and a steady supply of them, would enable Mahporeem to flex its military and political might even more so that it already was, and might even give the Imperial Remnant the impetus it needed to begin conquering other systems or attracting new allies to its banner.

These days, Mahporeem needed all the allies it could get.

So, despite their misgivings, the Imperial Remnant had agreed to host a meeting with Jolly Walker Jolly Walker on the planet, to better understand just what type of support he needed and to inspect his various items and wares firsthand, so that the Imperial Remnant could see just exactly what Walker was planning on bringing into the Imperial Remnant. Depending on what he had, Mahporeem might even wish to acquire some of his wares for themselves, and there were plenty of items in his inventory list that had piqued the Imperial Remnant's interest. The question was, of course, if Walker would be willing to part with those items, especially if he was to have an ongoing business relationship with the Imperial Remnant moving forward.

Still, Ronhar wasn't taking any chances, which is why he had brought a platoon of Junktroopers and Stormwookiees with him, along with a trio of Junkyard Knights, who would be able to ascertain the value of certain force imbued items that Ronhar and the rest of his men would have no idea how to appraise. The Wookiees would be useful for lifting and carrying particularly heavy objects, while the Junktroopers would hopefully be able to contain any problems that might arise, or at least give Ronhar enough time to deal with any problems that could come from handling such dangerous and exotic goods.

Now, all Ronhar had to do was wait for Jolly Walker Jolly Walker to land, with a landing pad having been prepped for his arrival nearby, though still far enough to ensure that he would need a least a 10 minute trip to the meeting site. Should things get out of hand, Ronhar wanted to make sure that Walker couldn't just run back to his ship and escape, leaving Mahporeem to clean up any mess he might make. No, should something go wrong, Walker would be forced to deal with it, and assist in solving any issues that might arise from the goods he brought.

.....yeah, this really was a terrible idea. But it was now or never, and the Imperial Remnant wanted even more power now. Whether or not the cost would be worth it remained to be seen...

Master of the Hyperspace Seas

The hazy clouds of Mahporeem began to part as the rumbling of ion drives grew louder.

A lone transport shuttle was the first to appear, quickly followed by half a squadron of TIE/SK starfighters. All seven ships were locked onto the array of landing platforms that laid ahead. The faint outline of the AT-CTs could be made out from the shuttle's viewport. It looked as if the Imperial Remnant were holding up their end of the deal...so far.

The pirate had not been in control of the Black Market for very long. Pyrrah Tae, the former head marketeer and leader of The Exchange, was terminated on Hoth when evacuating a storehouse. Threats of the Sith prompted this evacuation. All of the goods were recovered and placed into the hands of Bodan as a contingency plan. Jolly Walker, the Quartermaster of The Exchange, was now in charge of the syndicate, serving underneath Bodan. The pirate's private schemes were building up the criminal organization's power once again to take it back from the old man. But for now, his connections to the Imperial Remnant, along with Rohnar's, would prevent this coup advancement from progressing.

In high orbit, a Quasar Fire-class Light Carrier sat idly, flanked by two Sepulcher-class Strike Carriers. If the partnership were to be confirmed, the Quasar would touch down planetside, loading up the walkers. But for now, they waited.

Hisses emitted from all sets of landing gear as the small convoy of ships touched down. He saw the imposing man standing there with an array of soldiers accompanying. Smart. The back shuttle hatch slowly opened as Jolly walked down, shadowed by mercenaries of various species.

"Ah...Mr. Tane. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Crossing his arm across his chest, Jolly offered a half bow of greeting.

"I must say, this is quite the planet you have. Sure to be a fine place if our operations were to partner."
