What Lies Beneath

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The Sersaarai noticed Ballen-Ist suddenly exert fire from himself and he crouched, covering his face with his armor in reaction. Just before any of the creatures got to him, they were blasted away by the fire. He didn't throw his arm up for his armor to protect him from the fire, but he was out of distance from the damage, he was just protecting his eyes from the heat and light. As it blew away, the Sersaarai looked to see the creatures dispersed, but more coming. Ballen-Ist was reteating, and the Sersaarai had to get everyone moving. But before he went into action, he saw the precious item they were sent here to grab. While he still had a small window, he lurched forward for the Holocron. "Vazir, Kissai, lomurstims va tave akis! Dabar! Tu'iea dolega buti tuteti, mes nayir mezdi!" The Sersaarai grabbed the holocron and quickly scuffled to his feet.

"Saut, kam? kam buti rast?" Adzatsmam asked as he opened his eyes when the Kissai stopped chanting, both looking confused. The Sersaarai had caught up to Adzatsmam and clutched his arm, pulling him along. "Tave irankir prakazi tu'iea dolega, mes nayir mezdi, dabar, tau buti askal mus!" Adzatsmam turned to look and saw the creatures swarming out of the entrance. He grabbed the Kissai and started running with the Sersaarai, "Kam iv tave ita? Dary mes itik zhol?" Adzatsmam asked, looking to the Sersaarai. The Sersaarai extended his arm, showing the Holocron in his hand and Adzatsmam smiled, turning his attention forward, looking along the tunnel now since all they needed to do was leave, eventually catching up with Ballen-Ist

Ballen-Ist was still only exiting the chamber, burnt and tired from his powerful exertion. He wasn't retreating at all, not yet. The Orbalisks were still everywhere, and everything he had thrown at them had not worked. It was ridiculous, what kind of creature what that durable? Emerging into the vast corridor, the Red Sith would glance around the area, spotting [member="Adzatsmam"] ahead along with his guard and priest. One of them nabbed the holocron nearby before running away, drawing a spiteful sneer from the Knight as he watched the parasites gather towards him once more.

With the last of his energy and concentration, the Sith would back flip into the air, planting himself between the horde and his fellow Purebloods. Channelling the dark side through his body, Ballen-Ist would lift his arms, projecting five tendrils of electricity from each of his hands, ten in total zooming forward and colliding with the Orbalisks. He was exhausted and in pain, but Ballen-Ist was also able to gain strength from the dark side nexus present in Freedon Nadd's tomb. The bright bolts of violet lightning would lash out, the sheer impact blasting the Orbalisks away with little effort.

They laid scattered on the ground, twitching only for a brief moment before regaining their composure, causing the Knight to groan in false disdain. He pivoted hastily on his heel, beginning a desperate dash after the rest of the group ahead of him. The parasites had gathered themselves again, and were following them for sure now. Leaving would be the most difficult task, for the exertion of power needed was something the Sith was unsure he had left in him as he jogged down the dark hallway.

Navigating the treacherous and dark tunnels were extremely difficult, but the Sersaarai led the way with his SaberSpear activated, giving light, until Adzatsmam reactivated his own, also helping to see. Once they finally reached the exit, they realized they had got ahead of Ballen-Ist. Perhaps in the rush they passed him in the dark, or different tunnels were taken, but they knew they had reached the entrance before him. "Mes galia stai! Mes saut nuo brolin!" Adzatsmam demanded to the group. "Tym acasi mus amzi, Vazir. Mes nayir daboti tave nayeba ir tave Kissai!" the Sersaarai said as they stopped, handing the holocron over to the Kissai. The Kissai took the holocron but kept silent, watching the two argue as she was still in fight from the creatures. "Mes galia stai! Divsi tave ane garthaz iv tave dury! Kissai, tikazi brolin buti fe've, geti jis pro, mes valia arti tave dalivisas!" Adzatsmam ordered, taking one side of the entrance door, the Sersaarai stubbornly agreeing and taking hold of the opposite side. The Kissai was willing to do it either way, Ballen gave them the distance to escape, and she worried for him. As soon as Ballen-Ist reached the door, the Kissai would quickly pull him through and Adzatsmam and the Sersaarai would throw all their strength into the door, sealing it shut and the creatures would be stuck on the other side.

Ballen-Ist's vision was hazy, and there was a constant ringing in his ear. Stumbling through the hallways of the ancient tomb, the force was all that directed the Sith Knight as he made his way through the darkness. The presence of the Orbalisks nearby were barely noticeable to the Pureblood, as he trailed a hand along the corridor walls to guide him further and keep his balance. [member="Adzatsmam"] and the others were at the entrance, and it was only a matter of moments before Ballen-Ist himself was there as well. He was near the point of unconsciousness, and nearly collapsed as the priest pulled him through the entrance and away from the pursuing parasites. Their pursuit would be cut short as the tombs entrance was sealed, trapping them inside the depths of Dxun once again. The Sith was barely able to stand, reaching out to the ground to balance himself as he knelt in exhaustion, trying to gather himself for the moment.

Adzatsmam and the Sersaarai quickly pushed the doors shut as fast as they possibly could, Adzatsmam a little weaker than usual, but able to withstand his exhaustion. The Kissai pulled Ballen-Ist so quickly, his weight overwhelmed her and she wasn't prepared for it, and he didn't seem strong enough to resist a fall. She fell onto her rear but held Ballen-Ist so he didn't scuff himself on the ground, taking a breath as she looked over him, trying to comfort him. Once the door was shut, the Sersaarai took a quick look around to make sure they were safe, and went into guard post mode. Adzatsmam went to his friend, shaking him slightly. "Brolin, vexok! Mes buti varjirase! Buti j'us alsu? Selien sulig re Qyâsik, mes valia feikti j'us rostia, zhol valia nenx ztaosena mus. J'us dary nelsenena vartoti akuyi, xaz?" Adzatsmam questioned, unsure about what more to do. Adzatsmam knew very little of anything medical-related. Feeding off the force mostly kept the Shahku healthy, and there weren't many diseases onboard the ship. Other than that, the Kissai always would heal any wounds. But mental stress, fatigue, and exhaustion... Adzatsmam had no idea otherwise. The Sersaarai turned his head to look for a moment as he noticed Ballen-Ist was having trouble. He turned his body to face him and the Kissai and knelt, "Dolega, zami, dasixa. J'us deja buti nenx is vena. Nu zinot zo nuriga nuo j'us."

Aside from the burns inflicted by his own power, Ballen-Ist's shoulder was also heavily damaged, the Orbalisk's acid having left its mark. He had been lucky to avoid full contact, and to survive the encounter at that. As he focused and drew on the pain he felt throughout his body, the Sith felt the energy of the dark side begin to course through him. Slowly but surely, he would stagger to his feet, moving the priest aside as he inhaled deeply. "Nu buti sveln," Ballen-Ist spoke with a rough voice, coughing a bit afterwards to his annoyance as he began to walk down towards the jungle surface. "Mes buti dalia kia buti nazeta, ir kia zinot retrieved tave holocron." The Sith spoke, stopping in his tracks as he heard what [member="Adzatsmam"] had to say. He turned to face the Massassi, only looking at him with a questioning stare, his eyes burning brightly like a supernova.

Adzatsmam smiled as he looked over to the Sersaarai who stood with Ballen-Ist, waiting for the Sith to give him attention. The Kissai looked saddened as she was moved aside, but she was happy that he was alright. Unfortunately she was not trained in Force Healing, and she regretted not being more helpful. When Ballen-Ist did, he walked down the ancient steps and then presented himself honorable to Ballen-Ist. "Tau buti itin kietas kia zudyti, vageine su nuyak ginklas. Sis buti tu'iea zudyti, kaitas. Tu'iea zarmlezra. Rasiz zhol gal buti zo figura iv leidimas? Nwit... kad midwanas" the Sersaarai spoke as he pulled an object from under his armor, offering it to Ballen-Ist. It was one of the creatures in its premature stage. Perhaps a unique arm guard, or even alchemized to be something greater? It wasn't much, but Ballen-Ist deserved something after all this. Adzatsmam walked down the steps after the offering, coming beside the Sersaarai. "Brolin, tikazi tu'iea zorji zinot akti, ir nuyak tauta zinot latri tave nayeba, j'us galez svesi jok amzi ir svies tave dusasezi su mus." Adzatsmam smirked, offering another forearm shake, if Ballen-Ist agreed. Their journey today was over, but the story for the Shahku Tribe had just begun.

Ballen-Ist would look at the Orbalisk, a puzzled expression on his face. Reaching out with his hand, he would take hold of the parasitic creatures shell, suddenly looking down at it in pure disgust. Hovering his opposite palm over it, the Knight would unleash powerful torrents of violet electricity into the monstrosity, the intensity of the blasts causing his burnt clothing to billow slightly. The lightning eventually killed the creature, a swing of Ballen-Ist's arm tossing it's corpse into the jungle. "Nie dazek j'us," he spoke politely, despite how rude his action could have been perceived. "Ao ipros, j'us zinot visa dary duobé," He concluded, his gaze turning to look over the priest, warrior, and [member="Adzatsmam"] himself. Instead of engaging in another forearm brace, the Pureblood simply shook the Massassi's hand while hissing, "Mad'uo dary firma su j'us." Ballen-Ist would then turn back to the jungle, heading towards the landing site that was nearby. He wasn't sure if [member="Matthew (Rogue) Drevur"] was still around, but hopefully he had gotten the message.
