What Kind of Establishment Is This?

Horus Vespasian

"Greetings. Yes, I would definitely like to do so." Horus was facing the man with a warm smile, honest as far as anyone could tell. His voice had a friendly tone as well and wasn´t hiding any irony or iron. Noticing the glance at the sword, the sellsword decided to ignore it and take a look at the given menu instead.

The Tribune wasn´t wearing any armour except for a decorative chest piece of boiled leather above his casual clothing. The black textiles combined with white and gold would suggest a form of nobility somehow. He liked to give such impression, even if it wasn´t the case. It was a simple tendency to dress properly rather than run around like a thug or wear armour day and night.

After studying the menu for about half a minute, scanning through the offered specialities, he decided to give this 'Tea Shoppe' the trial by fire, before continuing to make himself comfortable. "Earl Grey please." He didn´t add anything, with the expectation towards the shop and its personal to live up to their name and menu. Though the order was placed with a slight smile again and a nod.

Doyle stood by with his hands clasped together as he waited for [member="Horus Vespasian"] to go over the menu. He studied the man's attire, just as he did the sword. Both were very unusual, moreso in that they were uncommon to him. But then again Doyle was used to being around riff raffs and the like. It seemed as though the tea shoppe had a....different sort of clientele.

At last he made his selection. It was simple enough, thankfully. One that he could make without a second thought. "Excellent choice, sir. Would you care for any of the baked goods? Or will just the tea suffice?" As with the tea, not every baked good was special. Some were just normal.

"Each sounds very delicious and special, I must say. Not yet, but I might reconsider." Horus closed the menu and put it on the table, meaning to keep it for now. He had to learn the quality of this establishment before ordering more than his tea-trial.

After placing his order and expecting the service-guy to disappear to follow his destiny of making tea, the Thyrsian glanced around the shop. Apparently tea was not very demanded here or this tavern was new, but there not many guests around. Spotting the woman in her simple outfit. She seemed roughly his age, though that was never sure, was very fair with brown hair. She was beautiful in her slightly stern way.

Once again featuring a slight and honest smile, Horus was nodding at her, his ruff making a slight noise of bending textile.

"Very good. I'll return with your tea shortly." He turned on his heel and made his way behind the counter. Doyle was quite glad that the day hasn't been crazy this far. Once word got out about the shoppe though, he knew it'd be different. Hopefully the boss lady will have hired more staff by then.

He searched through the rows of cannisters on the shelf and picked out the one containing Earl Grey tea. Everything was still quite fresh given that the place was still new, so once he opened the cannister, the smell of the leaves was quite strong. He picked out a small packet and palmed it before replacing the cannister.

A cup and saucer were chosen, of which the packet was plopped into before the hot water was added. Uh oh. He forgot to ask about cream and sugars. Doyle chided with himself as he was still not used to this line of work. But one of these days he'll get the hang of it.

Setting the items all on a tray, he lifted it and carefully walked over to where [member="Horus Vespasian"] sat. "Here you are, sir. As well as cream and an assortment of sweetners. I'm Doyle, by the way. So when you need anything else, just call." With a nod of his head he let the man drink his tea and headed back behind the counter, glancing at [member="Elise Ike"] on his way there in case she needed anything else.

Elise didn't pay much more mind to the other two people in the room, continuing to read over some personal notes while sipping her tea, in time both the cup and plate becoming empty of the savory items. This was certainly a small but refreshing break from the daily grind that was work. In a silent and respectful manner she rose from her seat, apporching [member="Doyle"] as he finished serving the larger man, giving him a small smile, "well that was some nice tea, here, just in case you'd like to stay in contact". With an outstretched hand she gave Doyle a small plastiod card with her name and holo number, some writing on it detailing her profession as an anthropologist, followed by the typical Atrisian bow, "I will be seeing you later, goodbye for now".
