Question Weird Chaos habits you do

1. I edit old threads. Way old. Like 2016 old. I’m paranoid about people getting disappointed by my old writing or spelling mistakes, or correcting retcons I’ve done.

2. I refresh the site when I post for a good hour every time I do.

3. I don’t react to stuff like I should. Not because I didn’t like your post, but I just forget.

I set myself to private because I worry people will think I'm invading their privacy when I snoop in private threads and they see my name as viewing, I just like reading... @_@

I love to stalk my favorite romance ships on Chaos and read all their drama like it is my version of Star Wars Love Actually.

I also put keywords in my alerts just so I can get notified when they post so I can get the tea fresh.

I sometimes create playlists for other characters that come to mind when I read them, so I can then read their posts with a soundtrack playing.

Plot out some posts for threads hours sometimes days in advance and get sort of happy if I guessed the response correctly or close enough. Surprises are better of course but there is something in being familiar.

Oh I need a music playlist to get into a mental headspace with characters at time.

For example, Soah needs her playlist cause it is harder for me to get into a Sith mindset off the bat. But she's getting better at allowing me to write her.

It just takes me a bit longer.

I get overwhelmed that my characters suck so I delete them but then end up remaking them because I miss them

I get great ideas for characters, write out their templates and backstories, get busy with life, come back to them, think they suck, and delete.

Rinse and repeat!

I will like posts in private threads I enjoy. I want you to know I'm reading your stuff, no matter how creepy I've been told this is (personally, please like my private threads, I don't care)

I have playlists for my own romantic character pairings

I have a general posting playlist too

If someone likes my post I tend to re-read that post. I find a lot of errors this way and edit accordingly

I refresh the home page far too often, looking for the little red notification flag for a hit of that sweet sweet dopamine

I stalk threads and bios of characters that are interesting to me ... and then imagine how a meeting between my characters and theirs would go down

I stress about whether or not my writing is good and if people enjoy reading it and then get socially anxious about writing with other people.

... Although based on previous responses, these seem less weird and more like the normal.

It's rare but I too stalk read romances and have a few favorites lol (I'd keep up more regularly but adhd go brrr)

I have "mains" instead of multiple characters usually. Write the same gal for a couple years, hit a wall, do smth new after

I CANNOT write without music. All my mains have playlists and I even have a master playlist for chaos ambience and duels

I collect chaos references not just for myself but for friends! I send them anything that reminds me of their characters lol

My chaos board on pinterest has like 5k pins on it.
