She'd looked into his eyes, locked her gaze with his before she had smiled. He was the one, the man who saw through her - through the madness and the animal; and saw the girl spite it all, the witch beyond the growl, the spirit behind the veil. It had always been Aston, no matter what. That was the truth of it, no matter what magic had been cast, what words had been changed.

He would see, he would know.

Perhaps, it had been what Satara had always known - there was always one who saw beyond, above and under; no matter what. Katrine had heard her say the words but she had combined with what Curupira had said and this she had believed it had been a combination of both - fire and ice; calm and storm; explosion and peace... perhaps it sounds have been or perhaps it was never meant to be both at all... Katrine had always been expecting both but perhaps she hadn't seen the truth of it, perhaps all she had needed was the truth; true love beneath it all as she had always seen. Where she had always seen chaos and strength, perhaps there had always been true love beneath the wonder; and where there was a miracle of the truth was love beyond all. Katrine could never see it, not for the longest of time when she expects the life Curupira and Ket felt for so long - chaos, madness, an explosion... but sometimes, true love struck in the midst of it all; pure, divine, right and real... sometimes there was but one love that cam in the midst of it all; not just kind of love that ended worlds but the love that started loves all over again.

Kree and Curupire had scattered forwards as she looked Aston suddenly, a smile spreading across her face as she remember suddenly the moment as she remembered the moment when she had felt whole again after that day; the curse had broken, she had been free, and he had been the one to set her free. She could not forget that, no matter what had happened next.

He'd called it home, Katrine realized as she'd smiled with the softest of smiles; looking back at her one hero then. Aston had been the one who had saved her when she had needed him the most.

And he, Aston, spoke of being so happy for her, everything she had achieved so far even if it was not over yet. Katrine smiled even wider than and reached for his hand. "You're my knight, Aston; you always have been;" her blue gaze stared back at him then, remembering those moments she wondered with whom she could share with if not him, the moments when she had destroyed the bones of the spirits that had once controlled her, eager to destroy everything that she was - she longed for a bringer future for herself, for her kind; for her blinding. There was so much that she longed for, longed for; so much she wanted for them. "Promise me you'll always be there," she said suddenly, as Curupira as Kree furthered closer to the inside of the old castle, her sapphire gaze focused on Aston.... as if he was true, the center of all that she was; her future.

Their eyes locked on each other, staring deeply into one another. Aston got lost into her sapphire blue eyes for what seemed like the longest time. And what accompanied during and after was the rarest of smiles he could've ever given anyone. In truth, that was a smile that he only gave Katrine Van-Derveld Katrine Van-Derveld

For so long Aston had searched for something to call home. He remembered to often his complaints, victories, losses and it always led back to the same old thing. That feeling of emptiness, the feeling of powerlessness that left him feeling cold. To the point to where he made it a point to go out and seek something to call home and for someone he could devote himself fully to. Not just as a true friend, but a constant companion. Someone to love and grow with for all time. Katrine had always been there, since the first day they met. He had wanted to tell her something, something that he realized during the journey here that he felt was there since their first encounter.

The events on Hapes had ever solidified such a feeling. He was kidnapped, tortured and then someone he thought he knew and thought he loved was taken from him. That sort of feeling was something that he hated and he wouldn't ever let it happen again. And it was then that he decided to be on the move again. He cursed himself ten thousand times over for not seeing what should've been seen. He was smarter than that, yet he allowed false emotions to play on his nature and it almost destroyed him.

He couldn't allow that to happen again. He refused to let it, he wouldn't let love be taken from him again.

As he stared at Katrine, a single tear escaped his eyes and rolled down his cheek.

He hated it took him so long to realize that everything he could've ever wanted in a person was in front of him this entire time. Friendship, family, love, unconditional love. He loved Katrine, and it was a love that he felt would endure throughout the ages. Even if there was a small chance that she didn't feel the same way, he would still be here for her. He would give his life for hers, and her daughter. He had purpose now, more than ever.

He just got a little lost.

"And your my Queen. You always have been, since the first day I met you." Aston reached for her other hand as he took them both in his and raised them up so he could place a gently kiss on her hands. He leaned in close to her, incredibly close, not wanting any distance or separation from them any longer. He placed both her hands over his heart. "It's always belonged to you." Aston leaned his forehead against hers as he closed his eyes for a brief moment. His hands raised to either side of her face gently as he pulled back for a moment to look into her eyes. "I will always be here, I give you my everything, Katrine Van-Derveld." Aston whispered softly to her, before what seemed like ages. The Knight leaned in and placed a gentle, yet passionate kiss to her lips.

The tiniest of smiles formed at the sight of his own. Katrine loved that smile of his, so sincere and kind; so true. Aston had always been all those things, her best friend on top of being everything else. She knew him better than she knew most people even when their lives had forced them to cross paths seldom and so far in between; as if there had been forces making them take the long route through everything before they could meet up at the present time when they could both see the truth of life; of their lives.

Perhaps she too needed an anchor - to bring her back when she needed it, to keep her a true neutral when so much darkness danced in her own blood. Her parents, her ancestors, all that darkness dancing through her body. She was not evil, nor had she ever been. Katrine was in between good and bad, between light and dark. Aston was that light that had helped her see that, grounded her when she had needed him the most.

Maybe if they hadn't been so far from each other, she could have done the same for him. Apart, she was reckless, she had made mistakes. One such mistake had brought her the single most important little pup into her life and in that sense, Katrine didn't regret being with Gerward. Yet, now that her eyes were finally open, she was realizing her journey had been far longer than it should have been.

Her sapphire gaze focused completely on him as she'd spoken, noticing the tear on his face. Her hand reached up, finger tracing across his cheek, catching the falling tear before it had left his face. "No more tears, from either of us," the Lupine whispered, smiling again. She'd cried her own rivers and now that she could see, she had made the decision here would be no more tears anymore. There was only today and tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.

When he finally spoke, it felt almost like Katrine had been holding her breath. He'd called her his Queen. Her heart grew two-fold at those words. She was no Queen yet, but it was the future she was headed to. A bright future for Figaro Favoura VII, for Lupines. Yet, Aston was saying she was his Queen already. He took her hands next, kissed them; her whole body complying with what he chose to do with them, watching his movements. Finally, he rested her hands over his own heart. It's always belonged to you, she heard the words. Fingers outstretched against his chest as Katrine inhaled a deep happy breath. Their foreheads pressed together and her eyes closed, his palms coming against her face.

"My soul has always been waiting for your," the wolf whispered, eyes still closed. She could feel it now, like a veil suddenly pushing to the side with the power of truth, of understanding finally. They had willed it so, having both grown strong enough to see. I will always be here, I give you my everything, Katrine Van-Derveld, another whisper came her way before she felt a soft kiss to her lips. Her eyes were still closed but Katrine recognized the kiss she had once received. It had been a revelation then, as it was now.

Her lips responded to his kiss and in it, she saw peaceful skies above Figaro Favoura VII, prosperity and joy. A future, a vision. A promise. "Always," the wolf whispered as she broke their kiss, her hands still pressed to his chest, still holding on. She should have thought it sappy but somehow, it had felt right, even the vision coming to her clear as day from his kiss. It was a sign of the truth, the veil lifted allowing her vision to clear to what was to come.

He felt her finger traced his cheek and thus catch the single tear that was rolling down. He eyes stared deeply into hers as she spoke of no more tears, from either of them. He knew that she was right, the things that had happened in the past while they were essential to a future it was also what happened here and now that mattered the most. He felt her fingers stretch and feeling into his chest and when she spoke that her soul had been waiting for him. A big smile showed on his face and it meant so much to him that she said that, and that it was her that he placed his heart with.

For all time.

The world always was spoken and he knew that it was true as any oath or bond could be placed. The kiss that was given was amazing and loving and sweet. He didn't want to break this embrace, that was the last thing he wanted to do. His arms wrapped around her as he held her close to him, her hands lingered on his chest and he just stared into her eyes.

His great love, his queen for all time.

Aston couldn't help but lean forward and gently touch the tip of her nose with his and then lean in for another gentle kiss. Afterwards he took a deep breath and glanced to the side.

"We should probably catch up with them." Aston said with a small giggle as he leaned in and kissed her forehead.

His tear, she had caught. A kingdom, she gathered; as she had felt the wet against his skin. Eyes drilled into each other's, caught in a moment then. It felt like a moment frozen time, in seconds that barely passed as the salty liquid touched against her finger just then. More so, it had felt more real than anything she had felt in the last post. She had been a mother clinging to her daughter, desperate to keep the smallest pup safe when plenty of people were in fact keeping safe. It had been a moment frozen in time when she had felt barely anything really, barely anything real. [/HR]

Her child had felt real, confronting Scherezade had felt true; but very little overall had felt real in this whole time as Katrine devoted herself to nothing at all but keeping Larentia safe. Now though, she had kissed the guy, the emotions, the truth. It had been a true love's kiss once that had opened her eyes and now it had served a different purpose, to make her see even clearer than ever before; to make her see the truth.

There had been but one man for her.

His name was Aston.

Always. Forever.

The look in his eyes told her that she wasn't the only one seeing the same thing.

He was her great love, her king for all time.

In their kiss, it seemed like the simplest thought in the whole galaxy, of all time. Katrine could feel the tip of her nose brushing against her at the moment, leaning in for a second kiss which she had embarrassed wholeheartedly, truly; with love of a thousand forces caught all at once; barely breathing. It made it all simple, all true. He was the kiss she had been missing this whole time, the kiss she had been missing this whole time she had wanted.. this whole time since the first time they had first experienced it... down on their knees... it was a beautiful place to be... with the one they loved...

They took a deep breath after their long kiss, a deep breath taken...and still, it seemed true, seemed sight...

""We should probably catch up with them." And still, she had heard him say the words, and she had known he had been right. For the first time in so long, she felt as though Larentia was safe in the arms of her grandmother; for the first time, she had felt she didn't have to worry about her beloved daughter, she felt she could trust her own mother even when she was the monster she and given birth to her. They weren't the one and the same but they were; she should have trusted the one she loved. Always and forever; he taught him he taught her.

Time had essentially stopped and it seemed as if he had lived a lifetime in this galaxy. The days turned colder and then they grew warm as the seasons changed and it was something of astronomical. Aston glanced to his side in the direction of where the duo had already disappeared out of sight and Aston had the urge to follow them but yet his inner part, the selfish side of him wanted to stay in this moment with her, with his queen for as long as possible.

His hands rose to the side of her face as he caressed her face gently, like she was the most fragile creature on this planet. However she knew she was a fierce as the wolf she could transform into. "It it selfish of me to say I want to stay here with you for a little while longer?" Aston said with a small giggle as he leaned in and placed a kiss on her lips then on her forehead. But he knew they had time, this was just the beginning of their adventure.

His hand intertwined with her own as he walked side by side with her. The entire time a smile was on his face, this was the start of something truly amazing and unique.

Hope and love.
