Weiss froze mid walk and held up a tight fist. It caused the squad to drop to their knees and raising their weapons straight away.
Wetting his lips Weiss looked around for anything else that could be posing a threat.

But there seemed to be little time for this.

"Fire at will!" he quickly barked and slung his rifle to his shoulder.

Bursts of fire immediately burst out, pounding the terrifying creature with plasma.

So this is what had killed all those civilians. This is what had torn their bodies apart and left them to rot on the ground. It was a Vong. Jaccer should of known, this type of brutality could always be traced back to the Vong in some way. Disgusting beasts bread solely for war. What made this particular monster even worse was the weaponry it was equipped with; it clutched a lightsaber in it's hand, and even with his limited knowledge, Jaccer could tell something was wrong with it.

As expected, there would be no way around this fight. The group would have to either cripple or exterminate this opponent. This was said easier than done however. What the soldier had noticed was the lack of ranged weaponry, "Don't let this thing get close! If it does we'll be shredded!" After running to the very opposite edge of the synthetic garden and taking cover behind a tree, Jaccer would begin firing with the particle cannon recovered from the Annoo-dat earlier.

Luckily for himself and those around him, this wasn't the first time Jaccer had come into contact with a Vong soldier. Although this one was clearly more powerful than any encountered, it was likely that they shared the same weaknesses. one weakness that couldn't be avoided was that which affected the crab armour. "Aim for under the armpits! If we kill the armour we kill what is inside!"

Attack!

Everything turned to hell in that instant, men opened fire on the vong with their blaster rifles, as well as Jaccer with his Disruptor cannon, Orphen stood there shocked and useless for a moment as the Vong stood in place with the blade, with an accuracy that almost seemed super-human, with skills maybe exceeding that of some Jedi he found himself deflecting the bolts of the weapons one after the other, though not in such a manner where they would be fired back at them. His upper body, like a serpant strategically moving from side to side and under to avoid the bolts of the disruptor. Several blaster bolts which he was not able to deflect glanced into his armour though each of the blasts aimed for a location which was able to deal damage was specifically countered. Crouching low for but a moment, the Vong would make its attack, leaping high and intending to come down hard on the mass troopers which had accompanied Weiss.

Vibro knives of those nearby came out as they would attempt to engage from two of the troopers, one managing to block a light-saber strike and hold the vong in place, gripping his arm tightly while the other soldier attempted to stab deeply into his arm. But no sooner Had the vong been pinned, he lashed out with a kick, strong enough to dent in the chest plate of the soldier so hard that the soldiers lungs became compressed, making him unable to breathe as if he wore armour too tight for his body.

The second who came for a shank ducked the saber as it soared over his head, dancing backwards and blocking the saber once before retreating with his side-arm, opening fire as the Soldiers alone could hold their own for but a moment against the monster... but no more. Each of the knives which had blocked the plasmic blade had warped, their edges gone as the steel had become red hot and almost turned to a vibrating slag.

It was at this point that Orphen kicked into action, drawing each of his particle pistols he opened fire on the Vong, the roaring blasts of his pistols ripping through the air as the vong ducked and rolled to a side, moving too quickly for the Jedi's explosions to hit him. The vong retreated... they'd almost lost two men, but it was shown that the elite soldiers of the republic were able to stand their ground against the target as it took to the fleet, using its blade to deflect lethal blows moments before it came in for its next attack...

With a burst of speed it would slide along the earth with a strike for Jaccer's legs with the blade, extending its left hand for Weiss with the deadly finger spear in the other hand, ripping out of a hole in the tip ot its finger, the Vong Biot would threaten to tear through the soldiers' chest, armour and all at horrifying speeds.

[ooc, soldiers get too much flack, wanted to show they're not useless and have them hold their own. :) ]

With the battle intensifying Weiss saw his men engage in close combat.

He himself kept firing shots whenever he had a clear one to deliver. The short bursts were controlled yet few since he did not want to risk friendly fire.

"Edge formation!" He yelled forcing the squad to position themselves in a V formstion with the vong in its center. Hopefully this would surround the beast on three sides leaving one side open for [member="Jaccer Ramirez"] and [member="Orphen"] to press on.

But then the beast turned on Weiss and with unnatural speed slung its razorsharp knives at him. He threw up his right arm trying to deflect the attack but in vain. The second hit hit him straight in the chest and it threw him high up and far behind. Landing with a crash four meters away into the far wall Weiss laid still.

It was near-impossible to see the attack from the Vong coming. Sure, Jaccer was a exceptional soldier but he was no super soldier. His reflexes did not exceeed that of an average human. Having his sights already trained on the warrior, the Lieutenant was allowed a brief moment to step away from the blade of the corrupted lightsabre that had been slashed towards his legs. Even with this second he was granted to move away from the attack, Jaccer was not quick enough. He was able to move his leg away from the majority of the blade, however the tip had carved a large gash in the side of his leg. Falling to the ground, the soldier would clutch his leg while letting out a loud moan. This was a position he did not want to be in.

With the hole in his leg and burns surrounding it, Jaccer's speed would greatly be inhibited and it was unlikely he would be returning to his feet any time soon. This position on the cold, grassed floor made him vulnerable yet it did offer some advantages. The low position allowed Jaccer to get a better view and shots towards the armpits of the Vong. Hopefully a lucky shot would find it's way towards the gills of the crab armour, killing both the warrior's protection and itself.

For the time being all Jaccer could do was try and ignore the pain streaking up his leg and remain on the floor, taking inaccurate and distracted shots at the Vong. If he was lucky this opponent would focus one of the other soldiers in the area. If he was unlucky it would focus on him and he may not be able to escape it's wrath.

Swiftness was key!

Orphen reacted quickly to the soldier whom had been kicked by the vong, his armour bent inwards and he was choking for air. Reaching out for the soldier through the force, he could feel the connecting rivets of the armour as well as the straps which kept it in place. The chest plat with Orphen's specific focus in the force would break apart, releasing the soldier from his suffocation, allowing him to breathe and move out of the way, pulling behind the ranks and taking a moment to regain himself before re-joining the fight, taking the side-arm of a fellow soldier and opening fire once more...

The Jedi However, had-had enough of the fight as it was going, leveling his hand, he would aim his strongest weapon at the Vong, the five beams from his fingers would unite and Orphen would intend to sweep his beam at chest height, thirty degrees in front of him, so not to hit the soldiers. The brilliant blue beam once more would be about to leave his hand with strength enough to rip a blast door off its hinges and warp its steel. The chiss weapon was anti-material, like firing a rocket launcher at an unarmoured man... The vong had put himself before the Jedi, weapons outstretched, and in the center of their pincer attack, but, he had struck down two of his targets, and Orphen needed to peel him off them as best as he could... the aim for his chest differed to his waist, a downward angle that would force his retreat.

---------------------------------------

The vongs strikes however would meet both of his enemies, but have also put himself in a very poor position, the enemy would have fanned out around him making the situation a very dangerous one. The finger-spear would have shredded the armour it came into contact with on the republic soldier, likely penetrating straight through and out the other side before retracting, the force of the impact however threw the man some distance and saw him slump against the corner. The Vong was taking these men out one by one, and he saw there was nothing that they were able to do about it. Compared to him, they were moving in slow motion...

The beam weapon did not catch the Vong by surprise, he had, had more than enough opportunity to look over the weapons in the box, the Vong was familiar with Chiss equipment... the chiss being one of the only races in the early Vong war to have won a battle against the Vong at the height of their power, no matter how their numbers were skewed, it was a feat. Somersaulting backwards The Vong evaded the laser as he placed himself right in the middle of the Wedge of GR soldiers, the blaster bolts kept him pinned down, kneeling for a moment as the armour took a beating, but not a single blow was able to strike at his weak spots...

Until something hit home.

A blast form the Disruptor canon slammed into the Vong's upper arm, completely disintegrating what it collided with and ripping its arm from its place. Roaring in pain the Vong would whip into a frenzy, spinning to take blaster bolts which would have met with the gaping wound in his arm on his back plate he would roll to retrieve the saber from his fallen wrist and make a dive for the wall of soldiers. Furious roar escaping from his lips as a soldier would meet him head on, breaking formaton to stop his advance, throwing a shoulder into the vong and taking a direct strike to the knee with the plasmic blade....

The charge however, would connect.

halting the Vong's momentum for a moment as the soldier dropped to the ground would allow the soldiers one last moment to dedicate all firing power into the beast. pinning him down with fire and eventually striking him enough times in the throat, eyes, and gaping wound to drop him to the earth.

Coughing Weiss stumbled to his knee and looked around. The pain in his arm and chest were immense. The medic of the team however, was quickly there injecting bacta and painkiller into his system.

"Thanks Doc... make sure to help the other wounded. I am just a bit dazed...." weiss murmred and lifted his eyes to look upon the monster. It seemed they had emerged victorious after al.
Weiss dragged himself to a standing position and limped up to the Vong.

There he gave the creature one lasting glance. then he spat on the corpse.

"Filthy vong..."

"Whoever thought they could have a vong in a leash like this must be mad." he stated, mostly to [member="Jaccer Ramirez"] and [member="Orphen"]

He then continued to check on the wounded and dead of his unit. If there were more surprises hidden in the hellish station he was not sure they could make it. They were al stretched to their limits as it was.

When the disruptor cannon hit its target, Jaccer felt a great pressure being lifted from him. It seemed the battle was now over, the Vong would be useless with one arm. The soldier should’ve known better than this. A Vong like this, bred for the glory of war and battle, would not give up so easily. In fact, the loss of its arm only seemed to anger the beast more so. Which wasn’t good for Jaccer, who still remained on the ground.

Although it seemed Jaccer had nothing to fear, not only had the repulsive Vong focused its attention elsewhere, but the Republic soldiers had released a hailstorm of blaster fire. Not matter how fast it’s body or reactions were, it wasn’t possible to evade this many attacks. Eventhough it was hopeless to continue this fight, the Vong tried to close the distance. The undisputed obedience and courage of these warriors was staggering. In the face of certain death, it would continue its advance.

There was only so much the Vong could take however, and soon enough it’s partially disintegrated and heavily charred body would remain still on the ground. A few extra shots were fired to ensure it was actually dead. With the threat ceased and the medic kits being deployed, it was time for Jaccer to re-join the group and get his wound patched up. “You got some of that bacta for me?” The Lieutenant would ask one of the soldiers, as he rolled up a trouser leg to reveal his wound. After being treated, he would walk over to the Jedi and the commander. “I agree, whoever thinks of a Vong as a pet doesn’t belong in this Galaxy. I say we find them, and end them.”

They were speaking madness...

Orphen looked to the group, they were talking about an execution without judge nor jury, it was not the Job of a Jedi to act as an executioner, so, taking a stance he would pull a head of the rest of the group, looking back to the soldiers while they each licked their wounds from the fight with the vong. It seemed that none of the soldiers seemed to be killed, but many of them were in various states of maimed. It was either a miracle, or it really said something about the training of the Republic soliders. Stuttering a little under the weight of the Jedi's consensus. He opened his mouth as little more than a squeak came out, needing to clear his throat he began again.

"W-we can't act as the law... w-we need to bring whoever's responsible in before a judge, put them to trial... and... like... let the system deal with them... ... ... right? "

Orphen ended unsurely, trying not to meet any of their eyes, full of doubt, he was a kid compared to these men, and he was attempting to give them directives when he felt like he really should not be. But, there was little else he was able to do, Orphen was meant to be a defender of the galaxy... did that mean he would have to defend the men that they were hunting down too? He couldn't tell... the life of a Jedi was a hard one.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile...

The leader of the group looked to the woman known as celeste who was beginning to pack her bags and leave the room, doing little but pick up his glass of wine he looked to her, raising an eyebrow and asking where she thought she was going.

"I'm getting out of here of course... come with me hun, my manor can keep you till things lay low. I- " - Celeste.

There was a gunshot, able to be heard through the blast door as the organizer put a blaster bolt through the abdomen of the woman, shocked, and slumping to the ground, she looked up in confusion, not knowing why he would turn on her in this manner. The man walked around the room to the door she had attempted to escape from.

"my dear celeste, we've done horrible things, we've been caught, it's not in the heart of the game to leave when things don't go your way. You don't want to end up like out friend gregori do you?"

He spoke, opening the door the man who left some time ago left through, opening it wide, was a man torn to shreds by the gunfire of an automated turret on a motion sensor... the woman gaped in shock at the grisly sight as the owner placed the weapon to her head. Tears running down her face as she begged for her life.

"Goodnight sweet princess, there are only dreams now..." He spoke in eulogy, as he pulled the trigger, ending the woman...

Straightening his suit and placing the gun nicely on a table before walking for the blast door... Pressing in a lengthy code, he would open the door to the room. Bright light would shine in as the man would stand, a tall, but well built man, wearing a velvet waist coat with a golden chain leading to a small datapad. A rainbow gem ring and monocle. The man had the build of a boxer, a glass of port in one hand as he saw the team who had succeeded, a smile dressing his perfectly moustached face.

"Well done men! I must congratulate you on your victory! Fear not, I am unarmed and will surrender willingly, I will co-operate with all questions willingly and honestly. You deserve as much, but, for victory, I will heartily offer each of you a boon. Don't think your victory would come without recompense, I am not so heartless... ... ..."

The man spoke with eloquence and pride. Standing straight with perfect posture.

[member="Jaccer Ramirez"] | [member="Weiss"]

Weiss ordered his men to encircle the man apearing at the door way. As they did he stood and passed [member="Jaccer Ramirez"] pressing a bactainjector into his hands.

"Sir, consider yourself under arrest by the Republic armed forces. You wil answer to your crimes commited here in a republic war tribunal."

He stepped up and slammed down the stock of his rifle into the mans kneecap.

"Woops... he slipped." he proceeded then kicked him hard in the back throwing him face down into the dirt of the artificial garden.

Looking up he nodded to everyone around him.

"You saw that? The floor must be newly polished. That was one bad fall. Better gag and bag him before he hurts himself anymore." he continued as he pressed his armored booth upon the back of his neck not allowing him a moment to speak up until Weiss's men had him fully restrained.

[member="Orphen"]

"Thanks." The Lieutenant would tell [member="Weiss"] as he was handed the bacta injector. Once applied, relief was administered almost immediately and it could be felt as the wound began to repair.

No matter what the Jedi or the other soldiers had to say, Jaccer believed this man had to die. Not only had he kidnapped various people, including Jaccer and Orphen, but he had also be responsible for the death of an uncountable amount of civilians. Innocent people who had no business being in a situation like this. As far as this soldier was concerned, this man held complete responsibility for all this death and pain. Jaccer could not this man to the flawed justice system of the Galactic Republic.

"We can risk a fair trial. If he can afford all this, who's to say he can't buy himself out of this situation?" Jaccer would then pull the disruptor cannon, which had been slung around his body, into his soldier and pointing directly at the restrained man. "As far as I'm concerned, there's only one viable solution to this problem."

His finger was on the trigger of the cannon and he was ready to end the life of disgusting excuse of a human.

What was the true nature of Justice?

Orphen could not believe the murder of a man who had given himself up after he had lost was something that he could allow, the cold blooded nature of it all he doubted he would be able to handle, if this man was a rich as they seemed to think that he was, he would have been able to better save his own life, though, it seemed that he had not intended to lose at all. If they had not been able to attain their gear and had to fight the Vong without their items and without the support of Weiss and his men, they all would have been done for. it was a miracle that it turned out this way, and they still had not managed to get out of this unscathed. Orphen's hands were still bloody from hanging out of the window and the glass cutting into his palms, Jaccer and Weiss were both wounded from the fight as well as some of Weiss' men.

But they HAD won...

"Weiss? Are we in republic space? Or are we in the Outer rim? "

Orphen would speak plainly, if they were in the outer rim, the man would have very few benefits from standing trial in the republic, it would mean that many of his resources would be meaningless in the trail process and it would hopefully put Jaccer's mind at ease, if they were in republic space and this man had managed to accumulate this much influence, then Jaccer's words would ring true, and Orphen would have to think long and hard about what was going to happen here.

"As a Jedi of the order and of the republic I refuse to be part of or condone a private execution, it isn't right. If i have to take him in myself I will find a way."

He spoke proudly, though, the nervous nature in his voice was shining through as bright as a beacon, he looked at Jaccer with stern eyes,

"Also, if we take him in for interrogation, he can give us info on everything else that was involved, the technology and give the people who have been lost some closure... they've killed Jedi, and we need to know who."

He followed up, the point was solid in Orphens' mind, but, he could not deduce whether it would be good enough.

[member="Weiss"] | [member="Jaccer Ramirez"]

SORRY! Totally missed it and forgot

Weiss felt the surge of anger flowing throughhim. But as [member="Orphen"] reminded him of, he was a soldier, not an executor.

He held up a hand to his men.

"Stand down.." and so they did. "Secure him and bring him with us. He has commited crimes against Republic citizens and will be dealt with by proper law."

"Master jedi," he then turned ""ow do you propose we proceed from here? We got ourselves a prisoner and the mess seems to be over. Shall we call in the Republic to seize the station or abandon ship?"

[member="Orphen"] [member="Jaccer Ramirez"]

How could the thought of letting this homicidal maniac live even cross the minds of Weiss and the Jedi? For the Jedi is was mostly likely due to some misdirected sense of morality and the Order they must abide by. But the Colonel must've known that this man could not be trusted nor would he provide any helpful information to the Republic Military. This was ridiculous, it seemed Jaccer was the only sane person on this station.

Although the other soldiers had lowered their weapons, Jaccer had not. Instead he kept a steady aim at the head of the prisoner. He would speak to [member="Orphen"] and [member="Weiss"] once again, "We cannot let him live. The torture he's caused, the death he's caused, it's inexcusable!" At this point the finger which firmly gripped the trigger of the disruptor was slowly being pulled downwards. It would take less than the weight of a feather to cause the weapon to discharge.
