We Are Getting Too Old for This

[member=Strider Garon]

Awakening and dealing with haters, Petra was pleased that she got to visit her great so on granddaughters, and even her boy Angelo’s daughter Celestine. She even got to tease him before sending him out on a murder fest. Now it was time to get updates about the world since she had gone to sleep. Talking with other witches would happen, but there was another source she needed. One that loved to be armor more than her bed.

The two always been going back and forth with the teasing. One thing was true for them. When they actually fought in the past as allies, nothing really survived their fun. It was at the time when Dathomirians and Mandalorians worked together. Her people had trained force users among the Mandos and they proved the amusement and resources she need without them really knowing. However, that changed while she slept. A change that she really did not know about.

Almost ten years away from the galaxy that changed faster than seconds on a clock. It meant like lifetimes had come and gone. She did not know who would answer. The Clan Garon always had a channel she used, and it normally got her boy Strider. Still, there was no guaranteed he was still around. Petra sent a simple message that was a teased to the man just in case he was around. All good fun, but still told him get his butt to Morte Mountain as soon as possible.

Strider woke to the sound of his holocom going off. He rolled over dazed and disoriented from being driven out form his short slumber with his aged eyes gazing upon the chrono. "Tahla'ada!" He cursed sourly as the time showed early, very early on mandalore. Who would be calling me at this ungodly hour? He reached for the holcom and blinked a few times to get his vision proper in his only biological eye. When the signals origin came to bear, the old man just frozenly starred what seemed forever. Petra......what...? His mind could not comprehend the message. The goddess of the witches, Petra Cavatio, an old friend of his that he had not heard of for about a decade. A woman he was certain he would not hear from unless it was to bring death upon him for his participation in the "Cleansing" of Dathomir.

The very thought of Dathomir brought back a rush of vivid memories, horrors that he was all to use to by now. Images of the dead haunt him to this day, more precisely the image of a girl with two fresh holes in her chest. The wounds was not the focal point, it was her eyes that stared straight into his knowing full well that even in death she was going to torment his every living day and night. Those glacier blue hues flash through his thoughts shaking the grizzled veteran to the core. He was soldier, a man of countless wars and guilty of just as many atrocities. A man that firmly believed in that war was cruel, and the crueler it was the faster it was over. And yet, he was left in shambles by one killing.

He took a few deep breaths and began a meditative rhythm to break himself from the self imposed hell that threaded to paralyze him from within. Just Breath you dikute, just breath. A few minutes later he was able to read the message. Sure enough, he was not dreaming for this was a message from Petra Cavatio summoning him to Morte Mountain. She was even nice enough to include a seductive 'tease'. Oh how she loved to fiddle with his heart strings and blood flow. Reminiscing on the old days faded just as quickly as the thought appeared. Why am i being called now, of all times? Does this woman intend to kill me? Is this a trap?

Strider rose from his bunk and walked out from his quarters aboard his Avril. The durasteel flooring was cold to his feet as he moved towards the cockpit. With a flew clicks on the control panel he began pre flight checks and system Diagnosis. Something he has grown accustom to, a survival tactic if one planned to keep flying in a antique of a ship. Only one way to find out. He gripped the holocom and signaled back to the living Goddess " On my way!" If this was a trap, and Morte Mountain amongst the witches was the place he was destine to die. He could not think of a more fitting place to go.

As the pre flight and system diagnostics ran their course. it gave time for Strider to get change and ready himself proper to meet Petra. Before taking off from Mandalore, strider would send one other message. Like a good loyal soldier he was, he sent word to Mand'alor, [member="Yasha Mantis"] , of his departure "Yasha, I will gone for a few days. Personal Business. If I am not back with in the week, or have sent word. I am dead. Do not send a search party. Keep your head up little wolf for you have lead our people to greatness. Keep doing so!"

With that, the Avril would lift off en-route to Dathomir.......

Getting a reply back from the one that Petra wanted was good sign so far. Petra knew it might be a bit before her guest would arrive. The rancors have not been seen today. She went through the stronghold to get to the valley the complex circled with in the mountain. Walking into the sun, the warm and bright sun felt good. Her herd were enjoying the good day. Petra spent the time visiting with them. There was a lot history among the rancors she had to catch up with. They were such jokesters and storytellers. It was how they passed down their history for eons now. Some wrote and carved into caves, but really it was all word of mouth. Often, Petra was check source about some stories since she heard the original or was there in person. The entire herd over the years were always treated as her children, and often better than her actual kids she birthed. It was all time and worth doing while waiting for her mando to show up.
