War is Peace [Terrorist Strike on Fondor]

[member="Ayden Cater"]

RC was already rigged up in his seat in an escape pod as the commotion went down. If the ship started taking fire, he'd be out of here ricky tick.

As the defense forces closed in from the void he laughed a maniacal laugh. The two interceptors powered down appearing to be complying while the crew aboard his Marder armed a certain special weapon. A big weapon. But of course the trick was to find out just what ship RC was on. Left, right or middle?

All of them appeared dead in space. Activating his comms scrambler, so he could not be traced RC broadcast from all three ships at once.

"Take me to your leader, we have powered down and you are free to board."

Murder, always murder.

Terrorism was something Calico had come to regard as a necessity. He had caused it himself in service to the Republic and the Confederacy. It was an immoral, cowardly, evil thing no matter the case.

Yet, it was always, and would never cease to be, a necessity.

The now-named General of the OP had accompanied one [member="HK-36"] to Fondor, but had stopped at the FLEETCOM STATION in orbit over the planet. There was little he could do to teach the students below, and the former Commando's knowledge on the Protectorate's naval procedures was painfully moot.

In light of this, he had opted to remain on the station along with [member="Ayden Cater"]. More so to advise his superior if needed, though he doubted that to be the case. The General's arms were folded tight over his chest, and his posture was rather tense if one were to look. The lights of weapons discharging outside and the engines of ships reflected off of his scarred gray armor. The twin red slits that served as his eyes glowed bright crimson as he observed the light show outside through the transparent viewport.

Four black clad Commandos in Katarn armor watched absentmindedly behind him. They seemed a bit eager for a fight, but at the same time, enamored with the events going on down on the planet. Calico tilted his head back partway as Cater issued a warning to the attacking vessels. Oh, this was going to lovely.

Quite lovely indeed.

He raised an armored hand up to his helmet and flicked the comm channel over. The message was directly to [member="Ayden Cater"].

"Sir, my boys are ready to receive our new guest if you choose. We can clean out his ship too, if he actually opens up the hull. Just say the word."

[member="RC 212"]

All three ships were surrounded, with the Protectorate ships maintaining a four kilometer distance. The two smaller ships were immediate tractored by several frigates. When the Protectorate cruisers arrived, they flanked the larger ship, maintaining their distance, and held it between their two tractor beams. Nothing was escaping. Four dropships each went to one of the corvettes while eight were dispatched to the larger cruiser. Each was piloted by a droid, and every one of them was filled with dozens of HBD-300 droids. "All crew must be waiting in the hanger; unarmed and unarmored with their faces exposed. Scans will be performed to ensure that all life signs are located in the hangers. Any attack on the dropships or droids will result in the immediate termination of all onboard the ship. Failure to comply will result in the immediate termination of all onboard." Several squadrons of fighters maintained a perimeter outside the corvette perimeter, with the bulk of the capital ships hanging back.

Screams of pain mixed with laughter left the mouth of the merc as his eyes were all but destroyed by the droid. The insurgent squad leader cried out a few last words before passing out from the horrendous amounts of pain. "THE DEAD RABBITS WILL HAVE YOUR SOUL!!" Not that he knew the person in front of him was a droid or human all he saw were blobs after the explosion had gone off. Silently laying still the medical team picked up the blacked out man and ferried him to the emergency room where he would more than likely get the best medical care money could buy to keep him alive for questioning. It would take a bit but the man had a fifty fifty percent chance of living. He was in the hands of th system now and that was going to pose a problem for his boss.

UNSPECIFIED LOCATION

A man in a pin stripped business suit wearing the same mask the other insurgents had worn in the attack was kneeling down in front of a holo recorder. Keeping his eyes on the ground the shorter man began to speak. "My Lord, there was a hiccup in the plan. Our forces failed to hit the hospital and a man was taken prisoner from what heart rate monitors suggest. Targets have been selected and our plans will proceed." With a pause he kept his eyes to the ground still before speaking again "There were over one hundred confirmed kills and they are still counting the wounded. We will be prepped and ready to strike again at the end of the week." With a small sigh leaving his mouth the suited man reached up and pressed the send transmission button "Rabbit out."

The funny thing about space was that there was almost limitless vectors to pursue. Up down and all around had no real meaning as it took six points or more to lacate an exact point. Though the fleet was surrounded, RC had it covered. As the new orders came in he laughed.

Unarmed and scans of the ship? And what was this massive fleet of fifty plus battleships?

Then he gave the order while simultaneously ejecting his pod. The trash chutes of every ship discharged launching hundreds of piece of debris into space. Among them RC's pod rocketed out of the bottom of the Marder. By then his suicide crew had already armed the weapons aboard each ship. It was actually a skeleton crew of droids, each ship was housing a kiloton atomic bomb.

As the pod pushed away they detonated in sequence and huge wave of flame and emp shot forth from the center of the mess. Shrapnel the size of his own escape pod sailed through the void and the ships themselves were obliterated. The trash became its own form of shrapnel as it exploded outwards, pushed by the decompressed air that blew from his ruined vessels in all directions.

"Ha ha ha ha!" RC laughed maniacally as the pod picked up speed, sailing off into the void.

"Yeah, yeah."
The droid muttered as Smiley cried for his soul to be taken, the medics took him away, HK wiped his hands off with Smiley's mask before stashing it in one of his satchels. It could come useful later on.
Walking back to the wall of the Naval Academy, HK run up the structure, jumping back through the window he used as an exit in pursuit of Smiley.

He looked around, the place was wrecked but they were able to stop the terrorist before venturing further on, all of the remaining students were taken to hospitals or nearby Protectorate bases, all things said and done, in the Academy they were able to save more students than there were killed.

[member="KA-12"]
The Iron Knights brought in the bodies of his two deactivated Greycloak guards, their droid bodies and armors broken and shattered from the explosive,
"I want you to take these bodies to the Tower,"
HK said, opening up their chassis and droid heads, he would remove their droid brains and memory cores, stashing them away in one of his satchels,
"And I want these vessels repaired and ready for reactivation in few hours."
Droids never really die, like Necrons, the Iron Knights nodded as they moved the broken droid vessels away,
"We need better energy shields."
HK muttered,

He realized then something, looking around,
"What happened to that other droid unit that got caught in the blast?"
The droid asked out loud, referring to KA

Calico was paying little heed to the events transpiring outside of the station. He had his own issues to worry about.

The heavy boots he wore clanked against the steel walkway as he strode into the center of the hanger. Amidst the mess of ships sat his Belbulab, silver and proud as ever. It was a sleek craft that was designed to carry two. Not exactly a dropship, but it could slip into whatever shuttle this terrorist was occupying.

"I don't think we'll all fit in that sir." Kix grumbled. The Katarn clad clone and his three brother had followed after Calico in his haste, and now stood in a circle next to the Belbulab impatiently.

Calico lifted himself up into the open cockpit and slipped clumsily down into the pilot's chair. His armored fingers ran over the flashing control pad with an old familiarity. "Just be ready to deploy if the Lord Protector deems it necessary. This'll be easier with a one man craft, and I'd rather not break off the squad and take one of you with me."

The brother grumbled their protests, but otherwise seemed to comply. The Belbulab's drive rumbled to life, and Calico readied to move at the Lord Protector's word. "What in Corellia's Nine Hells...Doesn't look like they're complying."

If they were supposed to be stunned at the explosions, the reaction of the Protectorate soldiers was at worst mild confusion. Sensors did pick up the nukes as they went off, but their yield was so small that no EMP was produced. Each must have been barely a kiloton in size. There were torpedos now with greater explosive power than that now. With sensors still fully operational across the fleet, it wasn't any difficult task to track the one fleeing escape pod. A pair of Wasp-class Starfighters easily caught up with the pitiful craft. After all, escape pods were not designed for long-range travel.

Each had a number of powerful ion cannons and a repeating ion cannon. The escape pod stood no chance in hell as they opened fire, blistering blue bolts of electronics-frying energy towards the pod. A pair of corvettes trailed behind, each priming its tractor beams to snag the escape pod. And even if the pod turned out to be another trick and the real escape pod then took off, it would find itself in the exact same situation. With the space around them interdicted for several dozen planetary radii, there was no chance in hell of the escape pod getting away. How the foolish man intended to outrun an EMP, assuming the blast had been to his expectations, was beyond many Protectorate soldiers but they didn't concern themselves with that fact. Recovery was their priority for now.

In the Naval Hospital

There were few places the Prex of Omega Pyre would be at; but Fondor generally would be the sure bet.

A physical in tow for the new position meant Aeron would be in the Naval hospital when the alarm went out.

Business as usual.

Time to figure out what was going on.

Sitting in the command seat for the assault frigate Fortunate Son, Sarge watched as the three pirate ships dropped from hyperspace and were immediately set upon by Protectorate forces. He was momentarily surprised at the audacity displayed in all of this before his sensor operator brought up visuals of said pirates.

RC.

Go karking figure.

Sarge had neither the time nor the crayons to explain RC to his crew, but he knew one thing was for sure. He was going to make something go boom. Probably with a nuke. He had an almost disturbing fascination with them.

He couldn't get the ship onto the surface of the planet, so he had to sit and wait as the Protectorate dealt with the situation. Quirking his lips inside his helmet, he tapped a few keys to open communications with the massive station [member="Ayden Cater"] was likely on.

Considering Ayden did nothing but work, it would make sense he'd be there.

So he sat and waited until a connection was established, because this was the Lord Protector he was trying to contact. That meant a waiting time and some questions as to why a Republic frigate wanted to speak with him.

Suddenly explosions.

"Size?"

"About a kiloton each."

Sarge laughed.

And then kept laughing, up until his laughter devolved into a coughing fit.

Rebellious Vanguard
She blinked a few times, her gaze remaining on the woman. The words had found their way into her ears, but hearing them was unbelievable. A slight sigh escaped her lips as her arms extended out towards Ven, considering it looked like she was gonna collapse any second now. The last thing she needed was her new squeeze surviving a massive explosion, only to fall over and die from her head bashing against something. That would just be too anticlimactic for this situation, and for the two of them.

"Considering you probably have a concussion right now, I'm gonna chalk that one up and assume its the head trauma talking. Last thing we need is e agreeing to something and then you not remember it." A small chuckle escaped her lips, her mind jumping back to the other times she found herself in this similar situation, with the exact same person. In some ways, it seemed the two were always going in circles. Around and around and around and.... Well, you get the point.

"Is... that a no?... oh... I better call mum... have her cancel- wait, we never made plans for a..." Ven blinked, causing another round of pain. Apparently (in her state of confusion) she had forgotten about the glass. Ouch. Just thinking about that makes 'me' eye hurt. "Let's... go inside. Before I die. Again. Isn't this... like, the fourth time?... Hey doc! Do they have, whatcha-call-it, refreshments in the waiting room? Don't want... dun want Tasia getting thirsty..." She was crazy. Crazy, but polite all the same. Instead of responding a few medics went forward to help her to the staging area. People were being sorted by severity of injury. Since she was at the front of the blast, she'd be seen fairly quickly. The redhead who accompanied her would be told to wait in the lobby... though they wouldn't do much if she refused.

KA-12

Protocal Killer
KA-12 lay on the ground outside the building, her shields up and two students with her - one in each arm. She had used her rocket feet attachment to rescue two children screaming from the room close to HK, activated her shield, then grabbed the children right before the explosion, jumping out of a window. The children survived, and KA-12 still functioned, but all three were unconscious. KA-12 could only operate her shield and her built-in communicator. She tracked down the signal of [member="HK-36"] and his remaining Iron Knights, sending information in fractions of information about her situation - being unable to function much with two students laying by her inside the now impenetrable shield with her.

One of the students woke up. "I'm... alive." He said. He looked around him, seeing he was stuck in a shield generator with his cousin and what seemed to be a protocol droid who activated the shield. "How could a protocol droid have saved us in a flash? Activate a shield?" He then noticed her weaponry. "One of father's rogue Killer-Assassins... It can't be... The only one that wasn't confirmed deactivated that was... KA-12..." The boy said in surprise.

Laying in a hospital bed recovering, the indigent know as Smiley was in a full body cast. Sitting there in wait the man knew he was going to be interrogated. So he did something that would keep him from talking. With a loud chomp a silent scream was heard. Followed by chomp after chomp screaming could be heard coming from his room. Biting his own tongue off Smiley lay there in his hospital bed laughing spurting blood from his mouth as the piece of dead meat lay on his lap and blood run down his neck to stain the white bandages on his body red. It was safe to assume whatever orginization he was part off they were taught to not speak. Blind and mute now the captive insurgent lay there laughing (or his choked up version) waiting for whoever would come to finally put him out of his misery

[member="KA-12"],

HK received the signal from KA, motioning to his two Greycloaks to follow him, he gave a nod to Iron Knights as they took the droid bodies away, dismissing them,
"I have found her."
He has confirmed to his droid guards as to why he gestured for them to follow.

Walking through the burned corridors he has found the room from which KA took the boys in distress, HK and his guards jumped through the broken window, following in KA's trail.

Few seconds later the boys would be able to see the three armored droids coming their way with their tattered grey cloaks and singed armors.
"Dispersing the shields."
HK commanded to his two remaining guards,
"Roger."
One of them answered, HK looked to one of the student boys,

"Divert your eyes."
He warned them.

The left gauntlets of the droids begun to spark up as they raised them, electric arcs building up around them, licking at the vambraces and metal gloves. They wielded electro-gauntlets, useful when facing droid opponents.
And then, at the same time, all three touched the shield with the electrified palms, blue arcs and sparks jumped at the surface of the shield, running across it, penetrating throughout its energy structure.

Much like a prolonged ionic strike, this was meant to overload the shield, instead of breaking through it HK wanted to deactivate the generator mechanisms of it, effectively shutting it down by disabling it with the prolonged electric exposure.

[member="Follow The Rabbit"]
While that was going on, HK received a transmission from the hospital,
"Sir, the captured terrorist.. we found him with his own tongue bitten off."
HK paused slightly,
"Has he survived?"
"Yessir."
There was confirmation, HK nodded slightly,
"Summon [member="Nyos Val"] to the hospital, tell him to install cybernetic voice box in the man's mouth to replace his tongue, warn him to leave him blind, also suggest removing the man's jaw."
The droid sent a silent message to the hospital, he didn't wanted the boys to be hearing him talking about taking off a man's jaw and stuff.
"Y-yessir."
Came a confirmation, HK kept doing his thing to deactivate KA's shield and free the boys so they can be taken to a hospital and have their wounds taken care of.

Darth Malak didn't had neither jaw or tongue and that didn't stop him from speaking, all they needed was someone good at cybernetics.

Nyos received the transmission from Fondor HQ in the barracks. He was training with his student [member="Pravis Sharman"].
I have received word that there was a terrorist attack on the city, I have been called into to preform a surgery. I want you to accompany me to the hospital. As my Security.

Nyos jumped into a speeder with Pravis and made for the hospital. Upon arrival he was greeted by the OP guards stationed there, 2nd Lieutenant Nyos Val, and this is my understudy Pravis Sharman. We were summoned by Exarch [member="HK-36"] to see the terrorist. I understand he was captured.

Right this way sir, they snapped a quick salute and escorted Nyos and Pravis to the O.R. where the man was being held. [member="Follow The Rabbit"] lay in a full body wrap with his tongue bit out, and blood all over.

I want this man anesthetized, we are operating now. I need the voice box from my bag and the surgical camera inserted into this hole, as the anesthesia knocked the man out, Nyos cut a small incision into the base of his throat where an orderly slipped in a camera so Nyos could view where the automated voice box was to go.

Pravis I want you to assist the nurses with whatever they need. You may want to wash up, you are going to get bloody.

Turning back to the terrorist, Nyos made another incision above the camera hole, with spreaders he opened the cavity to the vocal cords and began the delicate process of interweaving the wires for the box into the organic tissue of the man. The nurses handed tools as he called for them and the nurses in turn asked for equipment and assistance from Pravis. The surgery would take about two hours before the box was in place. The size of a micro-comm, the box now lay surgically fixed to the mans vocal cords so that whenever he spoke, the box would translate the vibrations caused by the cords and create audible sounds. Though metallic and robotic, the terrorist would be able to speak normally when he was interrogated. With an IV of Bacta and morphine, the man would be out for another few hours after the surgery.

KA-12

Protocal Killer
KA-12 gained full functioning systems after the shield was deactivated.

"HK, you were able to pick up my message. Then you know the details. If there are any terrorists left, annihilate them... Or at least clear a path. I may not be 100% efficient at this moment, but I can get these two to a hospital." She said after getting off the ground.

"How will my brother get there?" The concious boy asked.

"I'll carry him however I can. If my droid companion here can clear a path, I can get you two to safety. I landed near here, and there was a medical droid aboard my shuttle." KA-12 told the child. The other boy woke up.

"Okay, that means I only need to escort them to a hospital or my shuttle. HK, I'll gladly join you Iron Knights if you can get these two out alive."

"That's your old programming - to protect us! You ARE KA-12!" The first boy exclaimed.

"Silence. If we get caught too early, we're doomed. HK, you can take it from here." KA-12 said, pulling out her now-only weapon - her vibroblade.

Laying in the hospital bed the insurgent sat back as the sedative had worn off after a few hours. He was handcuffed to the bed as was standard procedure when dealing with people like him. The cold robotic voice began to speak. "We are here because of you, we are here because you made us do this. I'm the blind one here yet I can see the hypocrisy oozing from you all. You don't seem to understand just how deep you have dug yourself into the grave. I'm just the beginning, I'm just the start of it all. So torture me, wipe my mind make me talk. But you won't get anything from me, I'm just a instrument. A pawn for his will. So open your eyes before you die, because when you finally do. He will be standing there to end you all." As a robotic laughter came from Smiley he lay back in his bed still in his body cast laughing and coughing from the pain.

And indeed the tricks had worked.

For even as the escape pod had launched and the ships blasted it, RC was never down and out. Too many times had he been captured by protectorate forces. Despite being on the run for most of his career criminal life, RC was the fool that the enemy had suspected. But they hadn’t suspected that he might not in fact even be RC. He had updated his tactics and procedures and even now they could not catch him.

As his double in the pod was being collected by the enemy forces no doubt, he watched from afar in a very small LAAT with his sensors.

It had been very easy to procure the clone of himself, but it had cost him a fortune. After all any clones pretty much looked the same, and no doubt they would buy his clones story.

From the edge of the space he slipped away into the stars.

His capture, and most likely execution would spread like wildfire over the holonet. But it was his golden opportunity to go off the grid, and begin his new life elsewhere....
